How to Install a Mustang Steering Wheel

Installing a Ford Performance Parts GT350R steering wheel on a 2018-2023 Ford Mustang. Including disarming the airbag, swapping the switches, and all electrical connections. This is for M-3600-M350RA, but all othter steering wheels will be similar. Applies to Shelby, Mach 1, Bullitt, GT, and Ecoboost models.

@@antonisantonio yes, it should be a direct fit. You only have to swap over the switches.

Are the GT350 grip thickness and diameter/profile noticeably different? Also, can the original Mustang wiring connect to the reversed GT350 steering wheel switches?

Oh, great questions! Yes, the grip is thicker. I can measure it if you want, but it's certainly thicker. Feels perfect. Big improvement. On the wiring: no wiring changes are needed. You only have to swap out the switches themselves. If your car has paddle shifters, you'll need to transfer the harness AND the paddles from your stock wheel, though. Hope that makes sense!

Not sure. I don't recall, and the shop manual doesn't mention it. It's not anything novel.
