Mustang CarpetSaver!
Order now! www.wesduenkel.com/store
A problem solver for every 1979-2004 Mustang! Entering and exiting the car pushes the floor mat forward. The CarpetSaver bracket stops the floor mats from slipping toward the pedals on 1979-1993 Mustangs and prevents the floor mat retaining hook from ripping the carpet on 1994-2004 Mustangs.
1979-1993 Mustangs: Over time the floor mat slides toward the pedals. It’s annoying! The CarpetSaver bracket anchors the floor mat to the seat stud to keep it from moving. Either drill a 17/64” hole in your existing mats, or use 1994-2004 Mustang mats. Problem solved!
1994-2004 Mustangs: Entering and exiting the vehicle makes the floor mat pull on the retaining hook in the carpet, and over time the stress on the carpet tears it. If you look at the carpet of a well-used 1994-2004 Mustang, the carpet is already torn…or will be soon!
The CarpetSaver anchors the retaining hook to the seat mount stud and relieves the carpet from the stress of the hook.
Features and benefits:
• Fits all 1979-2004 Mustangs
• Installs either above or below carpet
• Laser cut from 304 stainless steel so it doesn’t corrode from road salt
• Powder coated matte black to blend into most interiors
• Stainless steel hardware for corrosion resistance
• Includes detailed instructions

i did exactly you said and love the idle of the car, but when it comes to revving it. Its a little too slow when it drops down. how could i fix that?
Make the numbers lower on this graph. Try subtracting 5 from every number and see if that helps. th-cam.com/video/F2APprj4jeU/w-d-xo.html; You'll have to also change the numbers in the 2D table to match.
Perfect video thank you! Worked great, I actually used a piece of 6 gauge wire instead of the o-ring.
Huh, that's also a good idea. It just needs something flexible in there. A thin strip of foam weatherstripping also works.
Does the hardware kit work with the 18block? Why does it say -17
Not sure if the Gen 3 block is different.
What's the safest way to just lift one side of the car? I need to jack up my driver side to do some work and I'm a bit nervous. Should I jack up the K member and rear pumpkin and use the frame rails to place my jack stands? Just looking for any advice.
I'd get a block of wood and put it behind the pinch weld at the front of the rocker and jack up under the rear toque box (where the control arm attaches to the chassis). Use two jacks. The easiest method is get jacking rails installed!
Crooked exhaust tips 🤣
Look straight to me 😵💫
Nice demonstration. What if wet?
Cover is wet.
Mustang Geek is there any companies that sell these Gen 1 with all this upgrades already ? Also about how mush you think it would cost with parts and labor?
Both good questions. I would check with L and M engines. I don’t know how much to budget. I think it varies a lot based on your goals.
I know it’s been a while since this video was made but is there any good videos on the proper way to pull a coyote from the engine bay like the beginning of the video
Great question. An S197 is not that hard. Use engine lift plates and a load leveler. You need to be able to adjust the angle of the engine as you pull it. I did it myself without any help.
@@Mustang-Geek I have a 2011 GT and I have borrowed a leveler to try to get it out myself, but I’ve been a little worried about taking apart more than necessary to pull the engine and leave the transmission
@@DreFromThe6ix I can't remember if I removed the transmission first. Remove the radiator and disconnect the AC compressor from the engine and lay it aside. You won't need to disturb the lines. Just remove the stretchy belt and the compressor.
@@Mustang-Geek So far ground straps have been the only item people don’t think to disconnect. I think I found a guide online but I may have to go with the trial and error method lol
@@DreFromThe6ix Just take your time and use common sense.

Question does anything go to the manual transmission harness?
Good question. No, nothing goes to the manual trans harness. The terminator X is oblivious to the transmission.
What a time capsule!
Indeed! They're out there!
The real difference doesn't come across here, but better understood when you're right there. The Supers have a lower frequency rumble...... like their own subwoofer. It's markedly different to me...... I love those Supers.
I agree. I prefer the higher-pitched hollow sound of the Original 40!
I just did the 1D and 2D tables and wow what a difference in drive ability. The car was clunking up shifting and down shifting and this fixed the issue. Thanks for the video!
Glad it worked! Please like, subscribe, and share this video on social media to spread the word! Too many people struggle with this.

This car looks exactly like my 88 which still has everything for the factory bone stock except for the Flowmaster mufflers
@@nathanlopez5935 Not very many unmolested examples left!
Is this similar to gen 3 coyotes?
Good question. I haven't built one, but you should check a repair manual for that procedure. I suspect it is very similar, but the fastener torque specs are likely different, etc.
@WesDuenkel I'm thinking the same, saw some photos and the markings looked identical. I want to assume the procedure, like clocking the crank to 9 o clock, then 12 may be the same. Pretty cool too see nevertheless
I’ve got a 1977 fastback and having problems with getting the correct clutch cable can you help please
Wow. Mustang II? I'd try Napa.
Now fits Fox Mustangs! Order link in description.
Sounds like someone will soon have to go and replace the rear main seal soon. I mean you didn't do it at this time or so it seems and you know it will be leaking very soon
Coyotes don't have the same rear main seal issues like earlier small blocks.
I appreciate you making this video. I have used it 3 or 4 times because I keep making changes to my motor, and the Ford service manual instructions are more confusing than they are helpful.
Great! Glad it helps. Please like, subscribe, and share this video!
Hi, does this Holley exhaust come with AFM simulators to prevent cel? Their ad description says yes, but their install instructions only talk about reusing OEM AFM actuators and bolting them to that welded on bracket on the Blackheart pipe. Did you have to buy AFM simulators? I don't have the NPP exhaust, so I don't need NPP simulators, but was wondering if I have to buy extra AFM simulators. Thanks a lot.
The actuators bolt on the exhaust, like you mentioned. Some people still get codes over time, so the AFM simulators may be a good idea regardless.
Did it throw a code?
No. Exhuast modifications after the catalytic converters should not trigger any codes.
I like the 40 series better.
@@mountedpatrolman my man!
I bought one of these. It is a safety issue to have your mat slide up under your pedals and this has put an end to my floor mat sliding. Quick and easy install. Highly recommend this.

What would cause lean condition when off throttle?
Is the Wideband showing lean? What is it showing? You may have the decal fuel cutoff enabled.
@Mustang-Geek on throttle depending on load, it's anywhere between 12.5-14.7. Once I get off the throttle to coast it goes up to 18:1. Single turbo 5.3, first drive with terminator x today. I'm not familiar with what you are mentioning
@@laned8418 Google Holley Decel Fuel Cutoff.
@@laned8418 Also, keep in mind a RICH misfire will show "lean" because there's lots of oxygen (but also unburned fuel) in the exhaust.
What is the runner control vent? Mine on my 2020 mustang gt was broken by the plastic engine shroud and I need to know how important it is cuz I need the car for work
If the runner control isn't working, it may trigger a code. Regardless, there should be sensors that tell the PCM if the runners are open or closed so that runs correctly.
What is the wire size on the regulator Instater pigtails? The green and yellow wire?
I don't recall. Maybe 16 gauge? But that's an educated guess.
@@Mustang-Geek kk thank u, because I’m short on wire n need more. I can’t find anything about the wire size either so I’m not sure what to do
what sound would the car make if I put it in reverse like it said in the video and the clutch WAS spinning with the engine?
Good question. It would grind.
@@Mustang-Geek thanks for response
@@jake-j1q Hey, what's the use of asking a question if nobody ever answers it, right? This channel is FOR Mustang Geeks BY a Mustang Geek!
Do these Recaro seats have seat warmers, as they are leather right?
These do not have warmers, but my understanding is they could be added. They're not a priority to me, but maybe I should look into that... hmmm...
Hi I bought a new edge 03 gt and it’s a stage 3 clutch previous owner told me and I have a feeling something is wrong with it cause it doesn’t make my car stall it still on.
Sorry, I don't understand your question.

Thanks! I try and keep the B.S. level low on these videos!
You are a genius!
@@PatHand-og9yd not sure about that.
Actually, there are instructions and hardware included to install it either above or below the carpet. Both!
Any thought to run it under the carpet?
Did you insert foam or dynamat to reduce road noise? Did you measure runout on the bell housing, and use offset dowel pins?
No, I didn't have any increased road noise, but the solid hub clutch certainly made the transmission noisy in 3rd and 4th gear. I didn't measure runout on the bell housing, though that would've been a good idea.
Fuck dude, I love you, no homo.
What about Check Engine Lights? Will I still be able to pass California emissions? Will it cancel my warranty?
It's not supposed to trip check engine lights, but there are also modules that help with that, if I recall. I don't think it affects the warranty, but you should check with Hooker.
I have a 94 mustang gt, about 5 years ago the TOB went out so we replaced everything. We got a stage 1 clutch kit and then we got the steeda 3 way adjustable clutch cable. Now while driving its like the clutch is engaging when i give it gas sometimes without me pushing the clutch, last time this happened the clutch needed adjusted, but honestly been ripped off by so many "mechanics" in my area i just want to do it myself. I found how to do the adjustment at the firewall but i am trying to figure out how i adjust the quadrant as well any suggestions?
If your cable is adjustable (down by the fork) AND/OR you have a firewall adjuster, adjust the clutch cable length (longer) or screw the fire wall adjuster IN until there is slack in the cable. Then to back on the adjustment(s) until there is no slack in the cable. Check for proper clutch release: (1) Select Neutral and depress the clutch. (2) Start the engine. (3) Select Reverse. If the transmission grinds going into Reverse, the clutch is not releasing enough, and you need to tighten up the cable.
@Mustang-Geek thank you I will give it a try
@@jessicascism891 You got this! Let me know how it goes.
@@Mustang-Geekdoes the stock cable have any adjustment at all? My throw out bearing (I think) makes a noise whenever my pedal is depressed, it’s a brand new ford performance throw out bearing, I really don’t want to have to take out my whole transmission again. I have long tubes lol
@@luisuribe5432 Pull up on the pedal. If it has a factory quadrant, it will self-adjust.
