In my opinion, Canopy Growth Corporation (CGC) has a jewel in its portfolio, namely the German manufacturer of vaporizers Storz & Birkel. The electronic high-tech devices are the only ones that are medically certified in Germany and in fact one benefit of such a device is that the user of such a device can consume without having to use tobacco and without having to inhale unhealthy smoke (the devices work combustion-free). I think that demand for the devices will increase significantly from April 1st because people will no longer have to worry that owning such a device will get them into trouble.

I don't know the facts behind it. However, ostensibly the goal is to eliminate the black market in the US by manufacturing and importing products in Germany.
Meanwhile the NLs have been free to smoke for nearly 60 years. I always wonder when US states, Malta or Germany legalizes weedsmoke do they let the major pothead crime bosses leave prison too?
No, in Germany we've got an amnesty for everything that has now become legal, i.e.: growing up to 3 plants, 50g at home, 25g while out on the street. Selling cannabis is still illegal, meaning the big crime bosses will stay behind bars.
Cannabis should be absolutely just as legal and easy to obtain anywhere as alcohol currently is. In every single state. No exceptions. It's so easy: As legal and easy to obtain/use as alcohol currently is. Why hold relatively benign, often healing cannabis to any sort of irrational, stricter double standard than perfectly legal alcohol?...
No, it's legal up to certain limits. I.e it's not a scheduled substance anymore. The only thing remaining illegal is commercial trade, which will be addressed with the 2nd pillar.
>>>>>>:::Legalize cannabis federally in each and every single state right now, today. This way, irrational politicians can't obstruct and prevent legalization against the will of the vast majority of Americans whom support full federal cannabis legalization nationwide. Treat cannabis exactly like we treat far more dangerous and deadly yet completely legal alcohol. Legal in all states.:::
with the current law that takes effect 1st of april commerical selling of cannabis still remains illegal, so far its only decriminalised but the government planned to also introduce commercial cannabis once they see how the decriminilisation goes. They already planned to have legal commercial cannabis by the beginning of 2024 and yeah lets just say that a bunch of old people who thought its comparable to crystal meth just so happened to hold pretty important government positions so it was really hard for the current government to push this law and its a huge milestone tbh to even finally be able to smoke without being persecuted (although smoking cannabis always was legal, just not posessing it).
what I forgot to mention was that currently cannabis social clubs are being implemented and in july you can apply for licenses to run one and the thing with them being is that they are legally bound to sell the weed at exactly the price it cost them to produce and are exempt from making even a single cent profit, meaning germany will be flooded with high quality weed for 5€ to 6€ a g.
we have plenty of examples in eu.. you cant compare new york and europe in any way.. so many american shops and products fail in eu because of our culture and regulations tesla just made a car that dont work in eu for example we dont look at indoor as a problem in eu, plenty of that going on.. after all we did kind of invent the indoor part of the culture in nederland.. where i live in denmark i have 6 big indoor grows within a couple hundred km, that supply europe and the states we allready make for the medicinal marked in germany and we can also supply their recreational marked if they need it we been growing indoor legal long before it was legal to sell in eu we have no problem distributing this between country´s, unlike the states that does have problems between states that is also why the seeds from the states was crap and the seeds from nederland was gold a few years ago for example.. we was able to grow those seeds legal inside without any problems nederland did try to take away the tents from the home growers, and that was not a succes... and the problem becomes it is not better big companys make profit then gangs make profit, non of those help out local... but nederland is stuck in the profits, it have been a big part of the country´s GDP in the golden days nederland had up to 10% of it´s GDP thanks to weed our culture in europe does not comes from mexican dirt weed. and we will never have space to grow it outdoor, if we have to feed people also.. imagine if nederland was to grow the weed it uses outside, they dont have much room for food as it is.. and denmark might be the country with most land used for farming compared to its size, but many people would starve if we started growing weed and not food
@@Hansen710 ok, but arent your farmers all striking because they cant actally produce the stuff for the price its being sold for? the model isnt sustainable so no weed wont be 1/4 of current prices just because its not illegal, the prices hit the floor where they did because the cost to produce was so low that now theres a flood of supply, true excess. idk why you would expect that to happen, especially cause its brutal for the growers. basic economics. because like you said, DE is nothing like NY, the things that lead to super cheap weed, would never happen in DE.

Germany dont sell it, there will be no shops where you can buy it. On 01. April, you are allowed to plant 3 plants and you can have 50g at home and 25g on the way. In June, you can register in an association that can have up to 500 members. This members are allowed to get weed with the membership fee. If you are not member of any association, you cant get it. You can register if you are living over 6 month in Germany and over 18 years old. But on 1. April, you are allowed to buy seeds from other countrys and plant them. You are not allowed to buy seeds in Germany if you are not in an acciciation. A yield over 50g from your plant must be destroyed. You are not allowed to sell or share your own weed with friends. You are not allowed to smoke it near schools or other places where are children. Between 8pm and 6am You are allowed to smoke weed in the pedistration zone. You are allowed to smoke everywhere else any time.
agreed. Studies have shown that decriminalizing drugs does not cause more people to use them - people take them nonetheless. However decriminalizing weakens the black market, decreases the risk of ingesting harmful additives, makes prevention work easier and less stigmatized, etc.

@@yoursubconscious smoke can't be good no matter what plant
@@NationContra but that wouldnt make you criminalise tobacco, would it? the argument was that its logically impossible to overdose on cannabis.
@@esa8143 - thank you for having common sense. 🙏 😉
Smart 👍
Now seeing that those big investors are getting wet dreams about opening the german market for them i dont even want the full legalization with big companys taking over cannabis in germany
Is it 3 plants per home or 3 plants per person?
person but you are nor allowed to harvest more than 50g per plant
@@leoisso7033no you can only have 50 grams at home, at any time.
@@leoisso7033 but nobody can check that
@@leoisso7033 Wrong. 50g not per plant its per person! If you have 3 plants with 50g and you harvest it, its illegal. It is only allowed to have 3 living plants and 50g of dry weed in total.
@@marci1270 they will still have to make some regulations about that, coz you can get dry 100g per plant.Cant wait how this will resolve later coz people will have problems not following the regulations.
It pleases the crown!
Yeah currently you can invest in cannabis seed companys. Also medical companys, that can increase production rate on demand. In the long turm you want to invest in companys, that can scale on a lesser grade cannabis (not the high medical standrads) faster.
you cant invest in that right now 😂
ofcourse you can, only 10% of the profits in that market comes from weed..
the rest comes from service and other products..
its not the flower the real money is in.
if you put up a couple of sodacan machine´s and a food and candy machine´s next to where people buy their weed, you will make more profit then the pusher
@@Hansen710 okay yea fair enough

You can possess it...but is it legal to smoke it?
Yeah, it was never illegal to smoke it in Germany beforehand, only the posession (Or driving with it in your blood) was illegal.
The only thing the ampel made right 🎉
Not the only one...
I hope the don’t get their greedy fingers in the German recreational market
wow
When MSOs can uplist they will FLY! 🚀🚀🚀
More legal than illegal but not a real legalization with shops. 3 plants at home and social clubs where smoking inside isnt allowed just 100 metres away, but 💚💚💚better than before 💋
Some people hoped for a more open retail market and are now cutting the losses since due to EU law that won't be happening. Medical market could grow quicker now though since cannabis isn't classified as drug anymore doctors might be more open to prescription.
Was about time!
No oz? Damn no discounts lmao

you only can buy seeds not weed so the marked is not gona be that huge...
Let the m&a begin
Cannabis should be absolutely just as legal and easy to obtain anywhere as alcohol currently is. In every single state. No exceptions. It's so easy: As legal and easy to obtain/use as alcohol currently is. Why hold relatively benign, often healing cannabis to any sort of irrational, stricter double standard than perfectly legal alcohol?...
yessir
As a German, this is a missleading Headline
It´s a partial de-criminilazation, and far from a legalization.
😂😂😂
No, it's legal up to certain limits. I.e it's not a scheduled substance anymore. The only thing remaining illegal is commercial trade, which will be addressed with the 2nd pillar.
“Fast Money…”
Very bad idea if this is the focus with medical or recreational cannabis.
😂😂 Are you sure you did not smoke some weed or something before recording this?
Answer to your question is - TILRAY 💸💸💸
We need another convention on narcotics. It's clear we were wrong about marijuana.
NYC has demonstrated why it's going to be hard for public companies to get a piece of any market for something that grows indoors.
with the current law that takes effect 1st of april commerical selling of cannabis still remains illegal, so far its only decriminalised but the government planned to also introduce commercial cannabis once they see how the decriminilisation goes. They already planned to have legal commercial cannabis by the beginning of 2024 and yeah lets just say that a bunch of old people who thought its comparable to crystal meth just so happened to hold pretty important government positions so it was really hard for the current government to push this law and its a huge milestone tbh to even finally be able to smoke without being persecuted (although smoking cannabis always was legal, just not posessing it).
what I forgot to mention was that currently cannabis social clubs are being implemented and in july you can apply for licenses to run one and the thing with them being is that they are legally bound to sell the weed at exactly the price it cost them to produce and are exempt from making even a single cent profit, meaning germany will be flooded with high quality weed for 5€ to 6€ a g.
we have plenty of examples in eu..
you cant compare new york and europe in any way..
so many american shops and products fail in eu because of our culture and regulations
tesla just made a car that dont work in eu for example
we dont look at indoor as a problem in eu, plenty of that going on..
after all we did kind of invent the indoor part of the culture in nederland..
where i live in denmark i have 6 big indoor grows within a couple hundred km, that supply europe and the states
we allready make for the medicinal marked in germany
and we can also supply their recreational marked if they need it
we been growing indoor legal long before it was legal to sell in eu
we have no problem distributing this between country´s, unlike the states that does have problems between states
that is also why the seeds from the states was crap and the seeds from nederland was gold a few years ago for example..
we was able to grow those seeds legal inside without any problems
nederland did try to take away the tents from the home growers, and that was not a succes...
and the problem becomes it is not better big companys make profit then gangs make profit, non of those help out local...
but nederland is stuck in the profits, it have been a big part of the country´s GDP
in the golden days nederland had up to 10% of it´s GDP thanks to weed
our culture in europe does not comes from mexican dirt weed.
and we will never have space to grow it outdoor, if we have to feed people also..
imagine if nederland was to grow the weed it uses outside, they dont have much room for food as it is..
and denmark might be the country with most land used for farming compared to its size, but many people would starve if we started growing weed and not food
Greetings, Meddl Loide!
One of the most advanced liberal law on weed in the world 🎉👏 Hope other countries follow soon…
Erstmal einen Müllern jetzt :D
It´s legal to hold and smoke it but it´s not a "market" because selling isn´t legal.
Cannabis social clubs may sell.
So there will be a market from June onwards.
The clubs are highly regulated. Maximum 500 members, not allowd to make profit. No chain allowed, one team one club. Hard to invest. imho@@militant_pacifist

WOOP WOOP WOOP
its supposed to be legal what are you talking about ,weed is supposed to be LEGAL EVERYWHERE ALL THE TIME REGARDLESS OF WHATEVER
Imagine this: Our oppositions have vowed to overthrow this law again once they get "back" into power. I hope that's enough motivation to make our voting participation go up.

Yes yes yes really really cool, the Market will explode in Germany.
Hella late😂
finally 👋
We need to legalize every single Drug.
everything else is against our human rights.
agreed. Studies have shown that decriminalizing drugs does not cause more people to use them - people take them nonetheless. However decriminalizing weakens the black market, decreases the risk of ingesting harmful additives, makes prevention work easier and less stigmatized, etc.

A full legalisation including commercialization would have conflicted with EU law, this path - although flawed - had the highest possibility of succeding.
