UPDATE: you DONT need any of those trash turtle beach or Xbox adaptors. All you need is an aux cord, the usb mic with a headphone jack, and a splitter. It works with my series x controller. Just saved u $40-$50

@@ngltgoatcrew9735 possibly. I have a cheap fifine mic that was $50 but it has the gain and mute button/headphone jack. Make sure you go to the audio and music setting and make sure headphone mic is on, as I’ve heard some people say it’s required.
It is stupid. There cutting corners so they don’t have to spend money on the software to let the Xbox’s recognize the usb mic as a audio input and work. So they don’t spend an extra fraction of money for our convenience. I also bet it’s to keep you from buying other stuff for your Xbox so instead you’ll buy Xbox made products
Worked fine for me. Xbox stereo adapter only if your controller is uncabled. Mine always plugged as i play with K&M. I use a gaming headset HyperX with mic turned off, works! Be sure to plug the mic usb plug not in the console or you might experience weird sound. 😊

Great video! bought pretty much everything on here, I'm not sure how to fix the problem and it make be something on twitch cause the mic works great in party chat but i noticed on my stream my audio sounds gainy or like its breaking up, its not terrible but its noticeable. like i said might be a twitch thing but any suggestions? im still working out the setting to see if i can fix it but any tips would be helpful :)

The Turtle Beach Adapter on a Fifine is CHALKED fam. I’ve tried numerous times on plenty of Fifine models like the k668, k670, & k678 I even tried a T series one. NOTHING lol. I think it’s because it’s more of a budget generic brand.
So I use the twitch app on the Xbox to stream. The app allows you to include the party chat audio if everybody clicks to allow it to record their voice. However, when I mute my headset, my viewers and stream can no longer hear me. So I was wondering based on my setup, If i used another USB mic plugged into my computer and also use my headset mic, would it be receiving double voices from me?
Is there any settings you need to set? My Xbox recognizes a microphone is plugged in and I can hear myself in the headphones but it’s still not working.
When using an elgato capture card with this set up, there would yoy plug in the party chat link cable? Directly to the controller, then plug the splitter into the mic plug on the party chat cable?
Any USB mic that can be monitored with these descriptions can work. Headphone port for sure to try and split audio. it is a hassle but this is the best option I’ve found so far.
I've tried everything as I have the Seiren Elite Mic and I've tried everything will not work with the series x at all. I've tried with and with the adapter, tried switching the splitter everything please help.

Unfortunately no one can hear me, but I’m using a generic audio splitter. Does it HAVE to be that special splitter that shows one port for mic & one port for headphones? Because the generic one I have doesn’t specify neither port.
I have a steel series arctis 3 headset will I be able to use an auxiliary cord to plug into the spare 3.5mm headset jack on the headset? Then the other side I plug into the controller? I only tried party chat. Xbox is already difficult as it is for USB mics. I wouldn’t recommend trying game chat with this many adaptations. if you do try it lmk & I can try and look into it
Xbox series x does allow u to mic monitor through in system settings just like the ps5 so u can lower the mic volume all the way up and down as well as the volume from in system settings.
Mic monitoring has nothing to do with how loud u sound to other people all it does it changes if you can hear yourself when you speak, and also a side note to the creator the rode nt usb does not allow you to control how loud ur microphone is, it only allows you to change how loud the audio monitoring is for the microphone 🎤

The k678 should work. Xbox is very tricky. Is it an official stereo adapter? Try again and if not try to just use the splitter. Some people are claiming they are not using the adapter.

I don’t think you need the adapter if your controller has the little jack
test it without the adapter and let us know because I know some controllers give out static when doing this without the controller adapter

The Node microphone is a little pricy. An u suggest a lower priced one that would be compatible with an Xbox one ?

hi i am new to this i watched the how to hook a usb mic to Xbox amazing by the way i did all that and works amazing during my streams but what if i wanted to use my chat link cable should get headphone splitter and plug my headphone and chat link cable in to the y splitter in to the controller is the a thing
This is only strictly for party chat. It is too hard to do this process for game chat

Hey bro,about the usb mic and I got everything for it, headphone splitter, double c wire and a headphone stereo adaptor. Unfortunately it doesn’t work and I can’t speak, do you know why this is happening. The stereo adapter I got was from mcbazel. I am using the k678 mic
The k678 should work. Xbox is very tricky. Is it an official stereo adapter? Try again and if not try to just use the splitter. Some people are claiming they are not using the adapter.
Is it okay to have a headset that can remove your mic from the actual headset ?

Hi I want to buy a USB hub for my series s but I don't know which kind of USB ports should I get. I've read that the console has three 3.1 Gen 1 ports, buying a 3.2 usb ports hub's would make things faster or it would just not work?

No. Xbox does not allow plug and play USB mic usage.
What if u have a headset that is a headset and a gaming headset. Like my mic comes off does that work I seen one where he had one like that and closed his mic

I believe with a wired controller you won’t need an adapter.

Turtle Beach Stream Mic. Just connect it to your Xbox. Add whatever headphones or earphones to the aux. Boom, you're set. Nothing connected to the controller

I wasn't sure if the mic got plugged into the game capture to capture my audio.
