@PughsReview Great explanation again, but I had some clarifying questions because the second approach without the turtle beach adapter. I may end up needing it, I wanted to confirm. My setup is: - Microsoft Elite 2 controller, but I have it plugged in via the USB wire to the xbox so it's not wireless. - Elgato wave 3 usb mic, hooked up to my laptop, mainly for power. I assumed that the mic doesn't need to be connected to either of the devices as long as it's powered and the audio cable is connected to the monitoring jack and the splitter/isolator combo. Is this right? I'm not capturing and the xbox doesn't actually get the mic audio via usb, will it? I tried connecting to the xbox, but that didn't fix it. 2. The Elite 2 is wireless, but it came with a wire to plug into the xbox (what i do for responsiveness). Since its the elite 2 and not a permanently wired controller, am I forced to use the turtle beach adapter? The turtle beach adapter is my next try, but I thought I'd ask before I order :) Thanks again

If you've got everything (stereo adapter, right 3-ring splitter) connected correctly, then there has to be an issue with either a cable, controller, or TB adapter. It's going to be a process of elimination.

I purchased all of the items and will try this method! I have been using an xlr to 3.5mm cable to connect to the splitter. The mic works but everyone says I’m super quiet when I talk. Why do you think that is?
Well if you don't have any knobs to control the gain on the mic, that could be an issue, but this one has all of that the mic will get too loud if you are not careful. Lol
I got everything set up and it works! But the microphone will go out every so often - did you notice that at all? The headphones don’t go out but the mic will. Maybe it’s a bad cable from the mic to the splitter?

I have an Xbox series S and I want to stream on twitch. Is this mic good for streaming, as well does it allow for the stream to hear my teammates in game chat?
Great mic my daily driver. And no unfortunately not game chat there no way to do that on xbox unless you have a pc to remote stream I have a video on that if you do check it out.

Why is mine still not working?? I was bound and determined to get the little mixing board it came with to work with it but I gave up on that even. I can hear my game, but no one in chat can hear me. (I have done nearly identical to his set up) also is there significance to usb to Xbox or is that just for power?
USB to Xbox is just for power, Microsoft doesn't allow any third-party USB device to work with their console directly. Not sure the exact situation, but it should be the problem of the TRS or TRRS cable in most cases.
@@tiweh2690 so the Astro mix amp does not have a USB input and from what I’ve seen online, the USB to AUX converters don’t work for this. My idea was to use a converter and splitter but I never tried.
I also had the same issue as you, I was like: No shot I just fell for a clickbait (Because I thought I just watched something that's clickbait), then I checked out the comments and videos on how I can plug it in, so I watched his Popular video, copied everything, and that worked, so if you have a PC or Laptop around you, then plug in the USB on the Laptop or PC, then check out his Popular vid. U forgot to mention that this only works on headserts woth detachable or no mics and a dynamic mic
This will work with a headset that has a mic if you can mute it.
Maybe it’s a bad cable from the mic to the splitter?
process of elimination is the only way to find it ill be live Sunday night to help people out with their mic on xbox stop by and ill help you live.@@kirkweathers
Hey can the zeal sound mic work for this
Hey can I use any boom arm for the mic hope you see this
did u figure out the answer to this
I have an Xbox series S and I want to stream on twitch. Is this mic good for streaming, as well does it allow for the stream to hear my teammates in game chat?
Great mic my daily driver. And no unfortunately not game chat there no way to do that on xbox unless you have a pc to remote stream I have a video on that if you do check it out.
Should I use a headset instead? I want to let my stream hear my teammates. Do you have any recommendations for any headsets that have good mics?
Xbox streaming won't stream game chat through that's just how it is unfortunately. You can stream party chat though
@@PughsReview ok let’s say I buy all things in the description besides the ground loop since I have a wireless controller, and the H9 mic from a previous video you did, could I use that to stream, allowing the stream to hear me, and still talk to my teammates without viewers hearing them?
Yes, as long as the headset can mute the mic, you will be good. If your using a xbox wirless controller make sure you get the turtle beach adapter
Can I use the fifine ampligame a8?
The am8 will work
could i still use it if im playing on keyboard on my xbox, like leaving the controller on or something?
Maybe I'm not sure, to be honest, I plan on testing that a few people have asked now.
with astro a50 gen3 what do you think??
Why is mine still not working?? I was bound and determined to get the little mixing board it came with to work with it but I gave up on that even. I can hear my game, but no one in chat can hear me. (I have done nearly identical to his set up) also is there significance to usb to Xbox or is that just for power?
USB to Xbox is just for power, Microsoft doesn't allow any third-party USB device to work with their console directly. Not sure the exact situation, but it should be the problem of the TRS or TRRS cable in most cases.
Could I leave the controller with everything and still play on keyboard and mouse?
Can i use the Manono Pd400x?
So in theory it should work but since I don't have it I can say for certain I will see if they will send it out for testing
Could I connect it to my speakers?instead of my controller
What if you have an astro mixamp? Could you plug the USB mic onto that instead of a controller?
Did that work?
Hey did you ever get this to work I have the same setup
@@tiweh2690 so the Astro mix amp does not have a USB input and from what I’ve seen online, the USB to AUX converters don’t work for this. My idea was to use a converter and splitter but I never tried.
Doesn’t work with an XLR male - Jack Male cabel? Because my microphone doesn’t have a jack female or anything just an XLR female
Then you will need an audio interface to do that.
Do we need the ground isolator or it okay if I don't have it
It really depends on the grounding of your house.
Youre the man
No, you're the man. Thanks for the comment.
Can I do this with a Astro a40?
If you mean with the mix Amp, maybe I don't have 1 to test.
Will it work with a condenser mic?
I have videos on my channel for Condenser mic only as well.
@@PughsReview cool, do you have a link, I can't seem to find it, many thanks

Whenever I talk, it sounds like a robot and you can’t understand me, so you know how I can trouble shoot this?
I'm not sure I would say process of elimination to see it it's a co stroller or cable
Does it need the adapter
10:22 🔥🔥🔥
Works on Ps5 Right?
It should I don't have a Playstation to test
What if i use a Bluetooth headset
my mic makes a really annoying bzzzzz sound and dosent pick up my voice
What if you use all this but you use the xlr instead of the usb
@iyaze I doesn’t but he did a video where he uses the mixer
Does this mic work on PC?
yes
I tried everything and it still doesn’t work I need help brother
I also had the same issue as you, I was like: No shot I just fell for a clickbait (Because I thought I just watched something that's clickbait), then I checked out the comments and videos on how I can plug it in, so I watched his Popular video, copied everything, and that worked, so if you have a PC or Laptop around you, then plug in the USB on the Laptop or PC, then check out his Popular vid. And it worked for me (Tip)
