Laura Forrester The choice for me was hard: it was either my female Hawke (in a romance with Fenris) or Alistair (who i made remain a Grey Warden and in a romance with my Hero of Fereldan). I was agonising over the decision for ages it was a horrible choice to make... in the end i chose to sacrifice Alistair just because only had an impact on my Hero's life whereas Hawke just had a really strong bond with everyone they met. Also i couldn't bring myself to break Fenris' heart after everything he has been through, and Varric too... boy Biowere is really good at pulling at the heart strings!
She isn't dead.. She isn't dead.. She isn't dead.. There is a chance she's still alive.. She isn't dead.. She isn't dead.. We can't leave Broody alone ;(
You know what I think ? I think Hawke is not dead , I mean in DA when a character dies they leave it very clear, we usually see him or her die but in this scene we just see how she start to fight and Hawke is a badass so maybe just meybe she still alive and in the next DA she reappears as the bitch she is and we love. Or maybe not and I am just dreaming xD
Yes. "[Character] may die" is the key thing here. Still--far as we know, Hawke/Warden does not reappear any time soon. Not up to Trespasser anyway. But... I really hope that choice leads to something interesting later. (Just not something horrible). I mean if Solas does what he wants, DA4 may have all sort of weird Fade shit to deal with.
actually I think Hawke is dead if you let Hawke fight the demon because if you look closely under the demon before the scene ends you can see Hawke stop as if Hawke got killed!
My options were terrible because how could Hawke leave Fenris? But my Warden was Alistair, who was in a romance with the Hero of Fereldan. So either way my heart broke
I think Hawke would have the best chance of survival in the fade. Hawke has been able to resist demons by themselves before and has gone into the fade. I think the Hawke with the strongest chance of survival would be a blood mage hawke that romanced Merrill. Even if she is not romanced, Merrill could try to save hawke bc as we know, eluvians can get connected to fade as we see later in DAI when we go through the eluvian and see Flemeth. Both Morrigan and Merrill have studied eluvians. Merrill probably more so and she dabbles in blood magic herself. The warden sacrifice wouldn’t have Merrill come to the rescue, just morrigan, and that’s a maybe.
Dude this totally breaks my heart. Like depending if you made Alistair stay with the wardens so you and him can be together or he is just your favorite person you have to choose between him and Hawke. I made my Alistair king with my female warden, and Hawke with fenris. Im grateful I did, I could never choose between them like this ;-;
we all know what the letter is going to be like... Broody: GET TO SKYHOLD NOW YOU HAVE A NEW MISSION ITS CALLED GET HAWK OUT OF THE FADE AND HOPE SHE IS NOT DEAD. ALSO TRY NOT TO RIP OUT CULLENS HEART OR THE INQUISITORS HEART IT WONT GO WELL FOR YOU. HAWK NEEDS YOU IF ANYONE CAN GET HER OUT OF THE FADE IN ONE PEACE THEN ITS YOU, SAVE YOUR WIFE FENRIS! ALL WAYS A FRIEND VARRIC. I WILL WAIT FOR YOU BUT DON'T TAKE LONG FOR THE LOVE OF THE MAKER!
I can never choose Hawke to die ever! Thank goodness I know this beforehand. The first game I ever played in DA 2. Listening to Hawke's voice. God that hurt.
OK but hear me out: you don't actually see Hawke dead. I wonder if we'll find them again in the fade in Dread Wolf. Bioware doesn't miss a chance to break our heart, and a shot of dead Hawke/Alistair is something they would have done. I'm sure they're not dead.
And Fenris kicks down the door to Skyhold and rips out Cullen's heart and turns to the Inquisitor and says,"this is how it feels."
dam that rage tho
LadyDominion It is harsh but i somehow love this plot twist
Omg he'd so do that
Fenris would go full on Wanda Maximoff on the inquisitor and then kill Dorian just for existing
"Sorry Fenris".... NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! :(
The "sorry fenris" had me in tears I shit you not
I didn't catch it, where is it?
And this is why I will always leave Stroud behind... Can't leave Broody all alone.
Laura Forrester At the first time Alistair was with me.. it was the hardest choice... (the hero of Ferelden had a relationship with him)
Yeah, I did that too.. :(

Laura Forrester hahahahaha broody
And Varric's heart would absolutely break
Sure. Give fenris one last reason to hate all magic in the world and go Berserk....
Inquisitor's gonna get wrecked 😂😢😭
For me, Fenris would storm Skyhold and rip Solas' heart from his chest to pay Inquisitor Lavellan back.
Congrats for saving the world or something, Fenris :P
SHE SAID "SORRY FENRIS"??? OH MY GOD!! I HAVE NOT HEARD WHEN I PLAYED!! SUBTITLES IN MY LANGUAGE BETRAYED ME!!
I can never leave Hawke behind :'( she needs to stay with Fenris!
Linny but also I can't leave Alistair behind.. the Hero of Ferelden is waiting for him ;(
Sorry fenris ; (
Don't know why anybody would choose Hawke to die in the first place.
John Lewis because if alistair doesn't become king, I'd be him or Hawke
Instead of Stroud and Alistair can be there also Loghain :)
Xewern wow, i didn't know that
Ksennika Why do I think this sarcasm? xD
Xewern no, no, I really didn't know xD sorry for misunderstanding x)
i wish they made a badass longer cutscene of the death of whoever stays
The fact that there ain't such a scene, leaves at least a little bit of hope ._.
She isn't dead.. She isn't dead.. She isn't dead.. There is a chance she's still alive.. She isn't dead.. She isn't dead.. We can't leave Broody alone ;(

OOH and plus it says "Hawke will LIKELY die" but it doesn't say they absolutely will!! I just now noticed that haha
actually I think Hawke is dead if you let Hawke fight the demon because if you look closely under the demon before the scene ends you can see Hawke stop as if Hawke got killed!
WorkGalaxy47 Or Hawke could be stopping to avoid an attack
Nightwing Robin no I've seen death stops many times and I know that's one of them!
You know it does say MOST likely, which means there's still a chance they're alive, right? Right?
Right?
YES!!

I NEVER HEARD HER SAY THAT IN MY PLAYTHROUGH AND NOW IM BAWLING
Especially if you choose in 2 the dialogue option before the big fight where you promise not to die. Like, holy sh*t
Not gonna break that

How is this option even allowed?? :O :O poor Fen
Ғɛияιs Ǥαiα because it can be Alistair instead of Stroud
If they don’t give us some kinda of peak at what Fenris’ reaction was to hearing Hawke was dead I’ll scream
we all know what the letter is going to be like...
Broody:
