KBShimmer's Hidden Potential is the queen of shifty polishes. Never have I ever owned a polish that varies so vastly in different lighting settings. It's incredible. You always kill it with your seasonal picks, and this fall's picks are your coziest yet, with some vamp vibes going on. I love jewel tones and vampy shades for the fall, but always love a good pumpkin/copper/burnt orange for the season and wow! at that Picture Polish in Foxy! That one is super rich and has a beautiful tone -- gotta get that one. Also I love the moodiness of Cracked's Velvet Seat Cushion and Mooncat's Misery.
It really is omg!! The shifts are soo insane, that and Skiing is Believing are some of my fav multichromes! 🤩 but aw thank you so much!! Yeah some shades I think can work outside of the seasons for sure, but it’s just how my brain sees & assigns colors lol. It just feels so off for me to wear like an olive green in the spring or something 🙈 And I think bc my collection is so big, I have a pretty decent range of every color too, so it’s even more natural to pull out my pastels in spring, brights in summer etc. so for me it just works to cycle thru them seasonally :)
As a seasonal wearer too, it enhances the evocativeness of the polish to wear it when it goes with the season! Though some shades definitely are more neutral/omniseasonal. But basically it enriches the experience, it’s not denying yourself anything
@a.z.p. Agreed. It's similar to when you take Halloween or Xmas decorations out only once a year. Sure you could technically do it whenever you want but if you do it when the actual month of the holiday arrives, you get that extra satisfaction and sense of immersion while you're celebrating said holiday imo

Fall is my favorite season. I love the colors and the feels, and I am also an October baby!!!! I have not started to wear fall colors yet. I still have two weeks to enjoy summer nail colors, but I can’t wait for fall, lol!

I love that you gave ILNP so much love on your wheel this year not that i dont like spring or summer collections i just feel like they shine so much during fall and winter collections probably because i gravitate more towards those colors its just the cohesiveness of the collections they put out and the halloween collections are just so cool from the names to the different finishes i feel like they can be worn anytime though
No I totally get that, I’ve noticed that ILNP spring & summer releases can be hit or miss for me, but I almost always love the fall & winter ones! I definitely can’t wait to see/share their Halloween collection 🤩 yeah some shades can definitely transcend the seasons!

Love your picks! Like you, I wear fall colors in Sept and Nov and Halloween colors in Oct. 2 shades that always go on my Fall rack are oldies: OPI Germanicure and Every Month is Oktoberfest. I tend to fill the rest of the rack with lots of burgundies and browns. You’ve inspired me to go through my greens and blues to see what might work for Fall this year.

I do love a fall color palette, but I find that I keep picking out the same shades every year. So, this year I will be focusing on finding some interesting color combos to use in my manis and make up a fall rack based on those. But ILNP's Harvest collection will still make it to the shelf. It's just too good!

What an inspiring beautiful fall wheel Stefanie, thanks so much for sharing, likewise I could choose polishes for four nail wheels and still feel, I haven‘t selected all I want to wear. My polish ideas are still all over the place so I plan to stick with the weekly range. The first week was darker aqua shades, next week‘s theme „Bold and Murky“ then I have „Fall Sunset“ for which I tried to recreate the colors of the landscape and sky I recently saw and lastly a green week.

Also What Addiction Blood Moon Rising and Monarch Eerie embers of Salem for oranges. That's a lot haha and I'm sure the list will grow a bit, but I have time and I enjoy wearing autumnal gradients and skittles, so hopefully I'll have time to wear them all!

I love to be able to honor them. One of my fave shades is Orly Pink Chocolate, it’s an oldie, which matches my favorite flannel shirt. Lol Two new ones I’m dying to wear are WF The Sky Has Finally Opened 2.0 and Glisten & Glow Leaf me Alone and a GLL bright orange, not sure I’ll wear. Starrily Tempest has caught my eye; I wonder how it compares to Petrichor from Pretty Serious. I love that polish, but obviously I can't get a back-up, and Tempest looks VERY similar on screen.

Love your wheel! I have used Holo Taco Ginger Snatched twice recently in combos, the best one when I paired it with Orbite Me! I loved it! I would have added Gates of Hell and Sin Eater from Mooncat, and LOVE that you included Monster Under Your Head. I have always been a “no to orange” person, but lately find myself really appreciating them, just wondering if I could truly pull them off. (Fair redhead, cool undertones).

Stephanie, can I recommend switching from clear swatch wheels to white ones? I know white swatch wheels aren’t indicative or good representations of all skin tones, but I have a hard time discerning what colors will look like overtop of a clear base compared to white.

Ah I don’t have that one but from the pictures they actually look a bit different! The SH looks like it has an even finer, densely packed shimmer almost giving it a metallic look vs the more speckled shimmer you see in Cracked. And Save the Date looks more like a deep magenta color, not as blue toned purple as Velvet Seat Cushion imo, I hope that helps! And yess October babies rise up with PSLs in hand!!! lol truly the best 🙂↕️🍂🎃☕️

I was looking at my order earlier today & it’s a perfect fall palette. That Starrily would look amazing with a holo topper. I can’t wait to wear Paint it Pretty Polish’s One Foot in the Ground which is kinda a cross between the KBShimer & HT’s I’m Rover it w some holo. Just need it to get a little cooler. Give me all the berries, oranges & olives in the fall! Also, fall leaves inspired toppers over rusty reds, mustards or burnt oranges. Aw noo! I hope this doesn’t make it worse but from what I remember MC’s Poison Ivy leaned closer to Loud’s Office in the Trees, so it’s a slightly diff shade of green. But it’s also easier to see the diff when you’re comparing them directly you know? I would say maybe wait a bit and hopefully someone would be able to compare them for you to really decide if you need it!

I can see that! They have a similar ish green shimmer where they could be cousins maybe haha but Alien Infatuation has a grey base vs the green base in The Shag!
They’re kind of close, but different enough that they could be cousins instead of sisters lol. I think HT is deeper and it has holo while MC is a more shifty multichrome finish. I could see people not needing both though, so it depends on if you prefer the holo sparkle or multichrome shift!

It's not that I don't like orange polish, but there are definitely so many shades that look so good on other people and it just feels OFF on my hands, if that makes sense. 🥲 Also, I love the cobalt blue shimmer, but Idk why when it's combined with a lighter color, it gives the polish a yellow hue, which I'm not fond of. 😔 Your swatch wheel is inspiring me to wear more purples for the fall! (I tend to save them for winter, and lean towards blue toned purples)
That’s definitely true! I know finding the right shade or undertone can also be a struggle 😓 and hmm for the shimmer, I wonder if that’s for iridescent pigments specifically? I find that the blues usually have a yellow color when the light isn’t directly on them, so I wonder if that’s what’s tinting the base?? 🤔 but oooh I hope you wear some purples this season! Love these shades! I don't understand having to wait all year to use a shade though! I'm not a seasonal wearer but even when you are, you could try an accent nail or something. I don't know, I guess I just don't get denying yourself pretty polishes you want to wear 😅
Yeah some shades I think can work outside of the seasons for sure, but it’s just how my brain sees & assigns colors lol. It just feels so off for me to wear like an olive green in the spring or something 🙈 And I think bc my collection is so big, I have a pretty decent range of every color too, so it’s even more natural to pull out my pastels in spring, brights in summer etc. so for me it just works to cycle thru them seasonally :)

As a seasonal wearer too, it enhances the evocativeness of the polish to wear it when it goes with the season! Though some shades definitely are more neutral/omniseasonal. But basically it enriches the experience, it’s not denying yourself anything
@a.z.p. Agreed. It's similar to when you take Halloween or Xmas decorations out only once a year. Sure you could technically do it whenever you want but if you do it when the actual month of the holiday arrives, you get that extra satisfaction and sense of immersion while you're celebrating said holiday imo

Oh ILNP Diablo is my Fall fave!! I just love oxblood reds in fall. My fave colors are primitive colors - brown yellows, navy blue, sage green, dark reds, so fall is my color pallet. Great pics for fall, TFS 😊

I love that you gave ILNP so much love on your wheel this year not that i dont like spring or summer collections i just feel like they shine so much during fall and winter collections probably because i gravitate more towards those colors its just the cohesiveness of the collections they put out and the halloween collections are just so cool from the names to the different finishes i feel like they can be worn anytime though
No I totally get that, I’ve noticed that ILNP spring & summer releases can be hit or miss for me, but I almost always love the fall & winter ones! I definitely can’t wait to see/share their Halloween collection 🤩 yeah some shades can definitely transcend the seasons!

Love your picks! Like you, I wear fall colors in Sept and Nov and Halloween colors in Oct. 2 shades that always go on my Fall rack are oldies: OPI Germanicure and Every Month is Oktoberfest. I tend to fill the rest of the rack with lots of burgundies and browns. You’ve inspired me to go through my greens and blues to see what might work for Fall this year.

I do love a fall color palette, but I find that I keep picking out the same shades every year. So, this year I will be focusing on finding some interesting color combos to use in my manis and make up a fall rack based on those. But ILNP's Harvest collection will still make it to the shelf. It's just too good!

What an inspiring beautiful fall wheel Stefanie, thanks so much for sharing, likewise I could choose polishes for four nail wheels and still feel, I haven‘t selected all I want to wear. My polish ideas are still all over the place so I plan to stick with the weekly range. The first week was darker aqua shades, next week‘s theme „Bold and Murky“ then I have „Fall Sunset“ for which I tried to recreate the colors of the landscape and sky I recently saw and lastly a green week.

Love this palette! I'm craving a lot of oranges and moody greens this year, and every year to be honest. Uptown is so shiny from the distance, I may need to pick it up! Also What Addiction Blood Moon Rising and Monarch Eerie embers of Salem for oranges. That's a lot haha and I'm sure the list will grow a bit, but I have time and I enjoy wearing autumnal gradients and skittles, so hopefully I'll have time to wear them all!

Wonderful, gorgeous picks! I love Fall shades so, so much. I always wear darker pinks to church in October from the BCA polishes I have since I have some church friends that are bc survivors. I love to be able to honor them. One of my fave shades is Orly Pink Chocolate, it’s an oldie, which matches my favorite flannel shirt. Lol Two new ones I’m dying to wear are WF The Sky Has Finally Opened 2.0 and Glisten & Glow Leaf me Alone and a GLL bright orange, not sure I’ll wear.
I realized when watching that I haven’t pulled any purples yet but I do have my reds.

I have used Holo Taco Ginger Snatched twice recently in combos, the best one when I paired it with Orbite Me! I loved it!
I would have added Gates of Hell and Sin Eater from Mooncat, and LOVE that you included Monster Under Your Head.

Stephanie, can I recommend switching from clear swatch wheels to white ones? I know white swatch wheels aren’t indicative or good representations of all skin tones, but I have a hard time discerning what colors will look like overtop of a clear base compared to white.

Ah I don’t have that one but from the pictures they actually look a bit different! The SH looks like it has an even finer, densely packed shimmer almost giving it a metallic look vs the more speckled shimmer you see in Cracked. And Save the Date looks more like a deep magenta color, not as blue toned purple as Velvet Seat Cushion imo, I hope that helps!

I was looking at my order earlier today & it’s a perfect fall palette. That Starrily would look amazing with a holo topper. I can’t wait to wear Paint it Pretty Polish’s One Foot in the Ground which is kinda a cross between the KBShimer & HT’s I’m Rover it w some holo. Just need it to get a little cooler.
Give me all the berries, oranges & olives in the fall! Also, fall leaves inspired toppers over rusty reds, mustards or burnt oranges. I have a couple, but I’m getting KBShimmers bc I’m still in search of the perfect one!

@@PolishedYogi I was thinking something like Flakie Taco or Scattered Taco or ILNP My Private Rainbow as a topper for the Starrily. I think I’d put Fallen Flake Taco - which I have - over the Orly or one of the new Cracked ones.

Aw noo! I hope this doesn’t make it worse but from what I remember MC’s Poison Ivy leaned closer to Loud’s Office in the Trees, so it’s a slightly diff shade of green. But it’s also easier to see the diff when you’re comparing them directly you know? I would say maybe wait a bit and hopefully someone would be able to compare them for you to really decide if you need it!

How does Cracked "the Shag" compare to Holo Taco's "Alien Infatuation"? I feel on first glance they're similar, but side by side they may not.
I can see that! They have a similar ish green shimmer where they could be cousins maybe haha but Alien Infatuation has a grey base vs the green base in The Shag!

They’re kind of close, but different enough that they could be cousins instead of sisters lol. I think HT is deeper and it has holo while MC is a more shifty multichrome finish. I could see people not needing both though, so it depends on if you prefer the holo sparkle or multichrome shift!

It's not that I don't like orange polish, but there are definitely so many shades that look so good on other people and it just feels OFF on my hands, if that makes sense. 🥲
Also, I love the cobalt blue shimmer, but Idk why when it's combined with a lighter color, it gives the polish a yellow hue, which I'm not fond of. 😔

That’s definitely true! I know finding the right shade or undertone can also be a struggle 😓 and hmm for the shimmer, I wonder if that’s for iridescent pigments specifically? I find that the blues usually have a yellow color when the light isn’t directly on them, so I wonder if that’s what’s tinting the base?? 🤔 but oooh I hope you wear some purples this season! I lovee a good blue toned purple, it sounds so fitting for winter especially 💜❄️
