I also liked the video where you talked about polishes you regret getting because I think it’s really easy to get caught up in fomo and impulse buying and it’s really nice to have the reassurance that you don’t need to buy everything that looks nice and it’s okay to just admire without purchasing
I rarely buy mainstream polishes anymore, but I just had to grab a few from the OPI Mega Mix collection. I got Liquid Fire, Millennium Mocha, Y2Slay (blue), and Cyber Cherry On Top. They are so good! I was impressed by the opacity and ✨glow ✨ from these shades.

Love the window shopping videos. I sit there the whole time thinking/going through my collection as you talk about each polish! LOL! But these are super helpful because I will usually come across a polish that I forgot I had and then I can show it some love!
Love these kind of videos! ❤ I use to dislike sheer polish but now I just put fancy gloss thermal top coat under it. I have a few different colors (pink, black & red). Kinda cool because you get a lot of different thermal looks, without needing a lot of thermals in the collection.
ooo that sounds soo cool! i need to write down Fancy Gloss for my next window shopping series, i’ve never tried them before but always hear great things especially about the thermals 🤩
@@PolishedYogi Yes! I love her thermals they are really the best. Also like a nail nerd I tested all my gitd toppers ( mc, paradox, familiar, drunk fairy) checking in on them every 10 min. Fg green ghost won. Like a couple days later it was still glowing in the drawer. Most lasted 20 min. Drunk fairy won 2nd place.
I agree, the kbshimmer fall collection this year didn't catch my eye. However, I do plan to get 2 or 3 from Lurid and BKL. But who knows, maybe I won't since I am on a low buy. But I am saving my pennies for Black Friday!! I plan on making my 1st purchase from ILNP and also some from kbshimmer I have on my wishlist. Again, thanks for another great video ❤.

I’m very much buying 1 here 2 there this season. I do plan on getting a couple from the Orly Terra Nova collection, and I just view them as staples that are likely gonna get toppers over them. The Lurid I’m not as interested in bc I’m not a huge fan of reflective glitter, but they do have a couple of others I’m probably gonna get - Blood Bag looks sooooo amazing - couple of KB (gonna use your code), but I’ve been looking for a cool deep red for fall/winter, couple of BKL w the sale that I’ve wanted. That’s it. Maybe some of the Cracked new crelly/creams. But I was so happy that I’m not interested in the new releases from favorite brands like PFD or Wildflower.

I love these videos! I've overall been proud of how I'm resisting buying new polish in general - I haven't bought anything from PPU in months, and it's getting much easier to say either "oh, I definitely already have that in my collection," or "I know I won't actually wear that." I did however get sucked in by ILNP's fall launch (picked up 4 of them) because the price is just so good compared to other boutique/indies. the only future purchase I'm probably going to make is from the Polished for Days halloween launch. 'Mean Ghouls' is *calling* to me. it looks a lot like a polish I already have and love (Heart and Soul from Vanessa Molina) but that's a tiny bottle and it was a PPU polish.
These are all beautiful shades. I don’t buy Halloween specific polishes. I do stamping for Halloween so I’m very interested in Orly’s Fall color pass this year. I don’t wear yellow but the one in there is a shimmer that looks gorgeous. Caitlin’s collab with Cuticula has some pretty cool shades & their Halloween trio is gorgeous. I feel like a more opaque dupe for "It's showtime" could be Cirque's "Jammin' out". Warm purple base with cool purple/bluish shimmer... and also pretty sheer, although much less so than Bee's Knees. What do you think?
hm i can see the similarity but to me its too different to be considered a dupe since its a shimmergraphic, maybe without all the holo it would be a lot closer!
I picked up an Essie pink topper type polish something Aura I think and also got an Orly shade while I was in Ulta. The Orly was part of the NASA set, the orange shade. It’s very pretty! I had seen that collection when it came out but wasn’t impressed. The orange shimmer one is beautiful, very fall. 😊
Ooo yes I remember some of those Orly NASA shades, they were fun but yeah I kind of felt the same about not being too interested in them. I’m glad the orange works for fall though! Essie has some pretty toppers too 💖

I have one from them just like it except the flakies and magnetic pigment colors are switched and I couldn’t stop thinking about how cool of a mani they would create together 😍 I loved someone’s suggestion about adding something you want to cart, then let it sit for a few days. And if you keep thinking about it (without looking at said cart) then it’s probably worth buying!! If you forget about it in 3-5 days you probably didn’t like it as much as you originally thought 😂
I'm sort of frustrated that all the glowy green shimmers from BKL in the past year have been SO sheer. My favorite finish, my favorite color, but the opacity just isn't there. And I've become a lot more forgiving of sheer formulas, but BKL can sometimes overdo it. Because I look at the other colors in their collection and they do have shimmers that get opaque in 3 coats, but for some reason, greens have all been incredibly sheer.

I was really wowed by the swatches I’ve seen so far of the KBShimmer collection. But overall I’m trying to take it easy and not buy too much, I have a lot of polish that I have in preorders or group buys that I am waiting on.
yeah thats definitely smart to just layer some of those BKLs, i probably shouldn’t complain too much about them since i do have blurring base coats 🙈 definitely smart to not buy anything at launch though, its great that KB keeps things in stock for a while so you could always wait till BF if you like them enough 🤣 hopefully some of your preorders or group buys come in soon!

I think it's a brand I'd be willing to pay shipping for just one, but there's usually a couple I can find.
