When Riley assumed that Buffy had sex with Angel was the moment he lost sympathy with me as a character.

from his perspective, angel was acting like a villain. and he's still new to the concept of what it means to have a soul. he hasn't considered the fact that humans all have souls and a bunch of us are villains anyway. it's his naivety and inexperience showing.

Some interesting parts in this episode, highlights are Angel and Riley acting like jilted teenagers in Buffy's room, and the smug smile Angel gives Riley when she says she needs to talk to Angel alone. Also Giles being drunk and telling Buffy 'you'll get your arse kicked'. Buffy really hurts Willow and Xander when she says 'I guess that's why there is now ancient prophecy of the chosen one and her friends' after all they have done for her, and she has done for them. Some excellent work by Spike setting all the friends against each other like a modern day Iago from Othello, there was foreshadowing for this in The Earshot episode when Buffy was reading the students mind re Othello Play. Giles playing Freebird is of course the highlight.

This is exactly how Buffy and Angel react towards each other when they are jealous. They are kind of famous for the melodrama. RIP Foriley. So much wasted potential.

When Adam and Spike were talking about "2 slayers" they were referencing the 2 slayers Spike has killed, not Buffy and Faith.

Petty Angel has made some appearances on Angel. He's been rounded out much more on his own show, and while his introductory scene in this episode is a bit off, Angel being a smug little asshole about this is perfectly in keeping with his character on his show.
Angel is, to some degree, frozen in his twenties. Despite his extremely long lifespan and experiences, he kind of straddles the line between "wise beyond his apparent years" and "moderately worldly twentysomething who still needs to grow up in some key ways."

Spike took advantage of problems the group has been happenning since the first episode of the season. I don't think I blame him so much as I thank him for pulling the group out of the denial anything was wrong. Now the question is will they fix it or not?

Communication is always key 95% of the drama in Buffy is misinterpretation of things seen or heard out of context.
ASH has a music career, why shouldn't he use his skills in this show?

I feel like with Buffy, Angel is pretty immature.
