I graduated with $145,000 (Vet school + undergrad) in student loans which went up to $169,000 after the interest was added. I started paying in October 2022 and have gotten it down to $105,000 as of today. I'll be under $100,000 by the end of the year if everything goes as planned. You can do it!

ok - i watched a few more of your videos. you are obviously extremely smart and well grounded. you are in a brilliant position in life. my last comment sounded like an anxious mom because debt is such a horrible enslavement. i wanted to add to my last comment. ... the amazing things - you have achieved are this fantastic education & credentials. you selected a field that is very very secure and well compensated in the medical area. you will never have to deal with ridiculous corporate America insecurity. no layoffs // recessions etc. Professionally you can do all sorts of side consulting - coaching - private practice. you can publish/ teach etc. .example - one of my friends who is a physical therapist in Boston - ended up doing private practice myofascial work only. there is a 1 year+ waiting list to get an appointment.
also in a youtube world of so much extreme fakeness - you are a completely authentic natural beauty. your channel will grow and pay off your loans.

@@gurrrrlish thank you! I read both of your comments and appreciate the advice. I plan on living pretty frugal for a few years to pay off loans, but I only have the option to be rent free for a year. I have plans for roommates already that should help decrease cost of rent. I’m just running into the problem of feeling like I need a car fund in case something goes wrong with my car and trying to figure out where to prioritize that.

Enjoyed the insight into the current world of student loans. It’s been a while for me. Hurts to think of the debt instead of being on the other side with having interest as an income instead of as an expense. It was a great feeling paying my loans off. My balance was much smaller but I only made minimum payments so in the end we may be paying the same lol. You have a great head start being able to do these calculations and having an income and a plan. Good job starting a Roth as well. The money you put in now is the most valuable as you probably know.

I too have an insane student loan (parent plus federal student loan). I know this can be overwhelming. I wish and pray that youʻd successful in this YT channel of yours and that the revenue will help you pay these loans. Keep going. Donʻt be discouraged. I wish you the best.

i feel so bad for you. is there any way you can stay at your mom's longer and really drill into eliminating these?
please please please try to stay at your mom's . if you have to move out - then please get roommates . rent a house & then rent out rooms to other girls. keep living like a student. DO NOT buy a car - just stay with this car while it runs. PLEASE....
whatever sacrifices you have to make to rid yourself of this debt will be so worth it. make yourself a 3 year living like a poor student plan (3 years is nothing) - once you have your salary to yourself and not student loans - you will have so much financial opportunity.
medical expenses - just put those on a 25$/ month payment plan - this has no interest.
