- The Federal Student Loan Forbearance is officially OVER😧 As of TODAY, interest rates have officially resumed on the qualifying Federal Student Loans that have been paused since March 13, 2020 and First Payments are due NEXT MONTH (October 1, 2023).
There’s no better time than now to create your plan for how you will knock out these student loans and get them behind you in the rear view mirror!
Over the past 22 months I’ve been hard at work to put my plan into action, and the proof is in the pudding, because as of RIGHT NOW, I am OFFICIALLY DEBT FREE!
In this video I share 6 steps I used in my debt-free plan, that hopefully you can find helpful to your debt free journey as well!
Needed this encouragement. Just made my first large payment on my $18,000 student loan, come March I’ll be debt free!
OMG girl YES!!! You are knocking that thing out QUICK. It's such a blessing to be able to have a clean slate! Way to get to it!🙌🏾
Congrats girl! This is how much I owe too
Omg congratulations!! I can't imagine how it hurt seeing it go down 18k
@@daisychimbay437 fully paid off now!
So encouraging thank you! I’m motivated to pay of my $50k in student loans
Heck Yeah You got this girl!!!
This is the wisest young lady I’ve heard on TH-cam: solidly standing on her feet with a strong head on her shoulders instead of in the clouds. I’m so happy to hear a sane person speaking about real-life GOOD decisions, prioritization, sacrifice, delayed gratification, and planning effectively for the future.
I am 40 years old with $102,000 student loan remaining and paying it now, which is very difficult because about $400 of interest is added monthly!
Thank you so so much! Thankfully I was able to watch and see how my parents went from loads of debt to financially free(using the Dave Ramsey Plan), and it really helped me see how much more peaceful life is without debt, and made that my goal!
And man that interest is a real bummer! But I am definitely wishing you the absolute best in your debt free journey!
Congratulations Whit on graduating nursing school and paying off your student loans. Hearing about your debt repayment plan was very encouraging. I appreciated that you gave God glory for sustaining you and commenting on the importance of tithing. You did so in such a way that a mother would be proud.
Thank you so so much!🫶🏾🙂
This video deeply resonated with me as a Christian and a committed tither. Congratulations 🎉 🍾
I’m so glad you found relatability! I really appreciate seeing people with similar values online (especially in this day and age), so I really try to contribute to the type of content I want to see in the world
Blessed, God bless you. I'm happy to hear your journey. Starting back tithing thanks to you 😊
Proud of you sis!!! Congratulations and thank you for the advice ❤️❤️❤️ I have 9.8k to go from 50k 😃
Life has lifed so I’ve had to slow down on the repayment pace (still paying waaaay above my minimum just not at the same rate as before). This is not a setback, just my catapult being pulled more to launch me further! Gods delay is not His denial!
Thank you so much! And aahhh that is amazing how far you’ve gotten already!
And man I hear you about life lifeing! That definitely slowed me down too at a certain point, but you’re right, every season has its purpose, and you’re still making grest headway! I’m glad you’re staying encouraged, you’re well on your way!
Can’t wait to say the same! Congratulations!
Thanks Bud!! I know you're going to knock those things out!
DMV native here! BS Biology and moved to Texas for lower cost of living to payoff debt. Love the video and so inspiring 🌟❤️
Oh hayeee DMV! Sounds like an awesome plan! I hope Texas is treating you well!
Yay!! Congratulations dear 🎊🙏🏽 im right behind you with my $18k. Ive had this debt for like 20 yeara 😩 I didnt want to pay it because im not even a air traffic controller. I got through nursing school for free but here we go! ❤ thanks for sharing love
Similar situation as you! I’ve had this student loan debt over my head for 20 years… not anymore, this thing is going to get paid off.
@@brittanyjones1711 Congratulations love! You CAN do this! Do you know I've paid down over $8k towards the student loan to date! It starts with a decision and we have made the right one
You have been watching the Ramsey show good for you 😃👍🙏
Oh yes absolutely😅 honestly growing up seeing my own parents get out of debt with the Dave Ramsey plan was the best gift they could’ve given me (besides an actual college fund🤣🤣)
I am so proud of you and you are so beautiful! You deserve it! I’m debt free too as a RN. I paid off $64,000 by myself… I did it during COVID and travel nursing… all my per diem went to my loans.
Thank you so so much! And yaaasss debt free! Got to love the opportunities nursing provides!
You’re so pleasant, and Ima eliminate my debt like you in the next several months 🍾
Heck yeah you better get it!!!😝And thank you so much!
OK Soror! Amazing job 💙

Party with me I'm Debt Free .....
I’m planning to go to college and other schools to become a crna nurse
I really don’t wanna have loads of debt coming out so I’ll do my best to pay everything off
That’s awesome, if you can find ways to keep costs low and cash flow it as you go, you’ll be in great shape!
I know it’s like a year later but Congratulations 🎉
Thank you so much!🙌🏾🙌🏾
What ABSN program did you attend? Im planning on finishing my Bachelors in Biology and do a BSN hopefully up north (out of state).
Hey there! I went to Shenandoah University. They have a main campus in Wenchester, VA and a great satellite campus in Leesburg, VA
Greatest advice and my take away is calling the student loan debtors!! Thanks so much!! I am working on the debt snowball method and will get to my student loans after two more card payoffs lol And yesssssss to the only thing God told us to test him with!! This is what is helping us on this journey!!
You have got to be one of the smartest people alive.. you rock.
Oh shucks, thank you so much!
Congrats girl
Thank you so much!! Lol now on to Dave Ramsey Babystep 3😆
Congratulations. I graduated with my bachelor in biochemistry and I don’t think I wanna go to Med school. In your ABSN program, did you maintain a solid GPA throughout nursing school, since it’s accelerated program and information is coming fast at you.
Man! I definitely went through a post-grad identity “crisis” too after my first bachelor’s degree and ultimately switched from Physical Therapy to Nursing!
My ABSN certainly was fast-paced, but it was actually very manageable since I was not working (and also didn’t really have any other responsibilities outside of myself), so I was able to maintain a pretty decent GPA of 3.75
@@nurselifewhit I’m from NYC. I’m trying to get two jobs and save up before next year Fall. because I just want to focus on my ABSN, it will takes me 16 months to complete. Later in life I’m thinking of going for CRNA oppose to Medical school anesthesiologists.
CONGRATULATIONS 🎉
Thanks Jae!😁🥳
Thanks!🥰
What a great achievement!
Ah thank you so much!
Encouraging! I’m graduating CRNA school with atleast 110k (more w interest im sure) and I m hella nervous about paying it off!
Omg congrats on CRNA school! The debt stinks, but with your CRNA income and an intentional budget and plan, you can knock that thing out for sure!
YAYY 🎉❤
hey boo, I was wondering what lender you used for ur absn private loans. I am stuck between choosing one for my ABSN program. I will really appreciate if you respond.
Heyy girlie! I used MEFA for my private student loans (Massachusetts Educational Finance Authority - that’s just the name, you don’t actually have to live in Massachusetts to use them)
My mom found it actually and chose it because they had an option where she could be the cosigner of the loan but after like a full year of payments consistent (or something like that) then her name would come off the loan as cosigner and it would fully just be in my name
After I graduated and started working though I actually refinanced the loan through sofi (when interest rates were super low in 2021) and got my new loan with First Tech with like a 2.9% interest rate
This video is a blessing!
Thank you so much, I'm so glad you found it to be!
Congratulations🌹 on your accomplishment. I am starting my debt free.
Thank you so much! And way to go, you got this!!!
Amen & God's Continuous Blessings ❤..Thank you for Sharing
Amen and amen! Thank you so much for watching and for your support!🙂🫶🏾
Your testimony about tithing was really humbling and encouraging in the midst of a big student loan to pay off. Thank you so much for sharing! I can just see the light and joy of the Lord all over you! It’s contagious!
Thank you so much, that means a lot! I’m really happy you enjoyed the video🙂thanks again for watching!
Im in my second year right now almost done and moving into my third year in a degree I dont even want, this gives me hope that I can pay it off. Im so lucky my family supports me and I dont need to pay anything and can focus on saving up. When im finished uni I will have £34k in debt but Im starting now to save up. Lets hope I can do this!
Yess it is such a blessing to have a supportive family! I'm sure you will definitely be able to knock that debt out, all it takes is a plan!
This video is so encouraging!! I have a goal of 70K in 2.5 years so here i go! I love your energy btw ❤
Thank you so much! And ooh go girl😆! Definitely do-able with a budget and a plan!
Love watching all these videos. I have had this student loan hanging over my head for YEARS… it took until now to get into the mind set to pay this thing off!!!
Thank you so much for watching! It can be tough to look at the big number, but once you break it down to a step by step process you can really start to see the pathway there! Good luck in your debt free journey, you got this😆
May the Lord bless you even more
You've earned your financial independence- well done! 👍✨
Thank you so much!😆🙌🏾
What was your interest rate on these loans? I'm debating if I should refinance or not with around 7%
My Fafsa loans were around 4.5% and
My initial private loan was around 6%, but then those crazy low interest rates came around in 2021 so I refinanced my private loans down to 2.9%😭🙌🏾 but I left my FAFSA loans alone
Thanks for your video. I have been considering tackling the debt rather than waiting around for forgiveness. It's a big ordeal. Congrats!
Thank you so much, and Heck yes! Absolutely go for it! You GOT THIS!
Well that was powerfully positive. Thanks for this.
Thank you so much, I’m so happy you enjoyed the video! Thank you for watching!
Amennnnnn
Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉 May God continue to bless your journey 🥳
Thank you so so much and thank you for watching!
Do you mind sharing what company you used for student loans? Thanks!
Sure! For my first bachelor’s degreee, I used Fafsa, then for my ABSN degree I used a private loan company called MEFA (Massachusetts Education Finance Authority).
After I graduated though I used Splash Financial to help me refinance my Private student loan via First Tech financial
Thanks for this video! Which banks/companies do you suggest to get private loans for? I need to start applying soon 😩
Heyyy! I'm not super well versed on all this but I personally used MEFA (Massachusetts Educational Financing Authority) for my private student loans. It was cool because although I used my mom as my cosigner, we were able to select a loan option where her name falls off of the loan after I make a full year of payments
Thx for sharing! Stared my journey to pay off in two years. Nice to know it can be done!
Oh my goodness that’s awesome! And absolutely😃 90% of it really is just having a plan, and then staying the course! Sounds like you already have a plan and that’s honestly half the battle right there😆
Really happy for you!!!! Congrats!
Thank you so much!😆😁
That was a good one about the Israelite and their sandles!!!!
Cause That’s exactly how it feels😅 Lol! God has provided through this whole journey, 12 year old car and all
👏🏾👏🏾💕
That's great news, sweetheart. Congrats!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you so so much! It definitely was a mission Lol but so happy to get here!
Congratulations!
