Troubleshooting Your Car's A/C

Hey guys. This is how I troubleshoot my car's A/C problems. This particular one, 2004 Ford E250 Van, the a/c just stopped working after working great the day before. First, I check to see if I have refrigerant in the lines. If so, then I check the low pressure switch by disconnecting and jumping the plug-in to make the compressor kick on. If the compressor doesn't kick on, I check the connections at the compressor. While I had all the connections loose, I sprayed and cleaned them with CRC QD Electronic Cleaner, plugged back up everything and now the A/C works. If you jump your low pressure switch connector and the compressor does cut on, but doesn't when you plug it back up to the low pressure switch, then your low pressure switch is bad. Hope this helps!
