Are the Accuton Midbass Drivers better than the ones especially designed for this Car ? Eton, Steg and my other Brands sell them and i would guess, they can play lower, which could be better if you don´t have a Front Sub or a Sub at all. But in this case, with the Front Sub, the Accutons are a better fit ? What would be the next best Speaker after the Accutons ? I have a S205 C Class, which i want to upgrade.
If you don’t have a front sub, then it’s 100% advised to stick to the OEM 8” size, which gives better extension, output & dynamics than most 6.5”s. Most plug’n’play 8” options work pretty well for daily systems, so you can not go too wrong. With a bit of custom work and cutting we fitted the Brax ML8 in our S-Class, which is another step further to get something pretty crazy without front subs. This car though is built to another level. The 6.5”s with the 10” are just mental! Accuracy and attack on another level!
There is always different on higher voltage. In all these new cars smart charging is not a great friend for audio. It’s almost like every car should have a DC-DC power stabiliser like we had in this car and my own S-Class too.
@@pssound9749 oh wow that’s a lot. Since I mostly want more bass output from my system, would upgrading the electrical and adding a stronger amp be more cost effective?
Petre you've taken the "puzzle piece" to it's logical conclusion.😂. But it does make sense(just more prep). Should you push the envelope with carbon mat , aramid or kevlar, I think so. But seriously, thinking simple(less work), and pragmatic, you are using fast fabrication that "just works" to your advantage, and learn.....and learn. Great inspiration, making me think outside the box...especially with American noisy shitbox SUV. We will see how the older well built "Premium" American car is for sound deadning this Spring.
I’d like to work with more exotic materials, but clients don’t have the budget here like in US, so we have to be realistic about how far we can push the envelope. As you say, when something works, it just works, it’s doesn’t need more magic.
Was I the only one who spit their drink out when I heard peter say, " this trunk is modest"? Incredible work, like always.
Haha i get it, but i think i mentioned that i was comparing it to the Insignia, client’s previous car. 😃
Ha Peter said "competing" naw you killing the game. I don't see much competition... WELL DONE SIR
Great installation work and fabrication, this build deffo makes up for the previous one.
See now this is what I’ve become accustomed to. Gorgeous work.
Nice to see the completion. Stunning work guys. Big fan.
Holy cow! That is a lot of equipment. Killer fab work, as always.
Amazing job Pete. You’re a genius buddy.
Love the glovebox woofer decision, also love the placement for the high note speakers next to the rearview mirrors. Really cool solutions.
Hi, what does it mean by high note speakers next to the rearview mirror?
Tweeters in sail panels.
@@pssound9749 okay got it. Thanks.
Looks really good. Only thing not keen on is the compromised passenger side with glovebox front sub
You can fully stretch your leg, zero compromise.
Amazing work! Have you done latest S-class? That would be interesting too...
Not the latest, but our other demo car is the previous generation W222 model. There is not much difference between the new and older.

Hey Peter, I also have a Mercedes and wanted to ask if there is any output difference if the battery is at 12v instead of at 14v due to smart charging

@@pssound9749 where did you get yours and for how much?
@@heroericxu1634 we’re dealer of it. If i remember correctly it’s £950.
