      Why should Millennials have to pay their retirement benefits and Medicare we didn't vote for? Unfunded liabilities (Medicare and Social Security) now exceed $100 trillion. The national debt is another $21 trillion-- and when the boomers die, millennials will have to pony up. And then when debt obligations aren't met( because lord knows where millennials come up with the cash) the entire system crashes and these social programs boomers voted for themselves won't exist for millennials.
      Which bring up another point.
      Millennials are still struggling to get their first homes due to the great recession. Since 2008 quantitative easing (QE) artificially inflated housing prices. Normally this is CAN be good IF wages keep up with inflation and zoning laws were updated to meet market requirements. Instead, QE drove up asset prices and bailed out baby boomers at the profound political cost of pricing out millennials who were still in college drowning in debt. Inflation made sure millennials couldn't be a stakeholder in their own city.
      They will tell you "hurrr durrr stoping buying iphones and avocado toast" (the live within your means guy) so that you can afford healthcare, retirement, and housing after paying off your student loans with high interest. Maybe we should stop subsidizing Medicare and give the elderly more math classes because no amount of avocado toast and iPhones will compensate for the inflation boomers created. If millennials were aware of the intergenerational theft thats going on and voted accordingly, boomers would be in serious trouble.

    I watched this video on 2018 and I wasted my year.
    I watched it on 2019 and I wasted another year again.
    I'm watching again on 2020 and I believe I found my answer and that is I haven't changed my environment.
    People take your humble and kindness for weakness and you become the joke of the group where everyone would want to troll with you and as days goes by you suddenly start to overthink all those words what your friends said about you even though you laughed it out at first but those words are starting to bug you now and you're left wondering why you're overthinking.
    Trust me, if there is anyone in your environment, be it family or friends, and they don't respect you, or make fun of you just because you're that quiet person and they don't know how you feel, bless them and leave them and YOU start focusing on yourself! Love yourself first because those same people who you call family or friends aren't going to pay your future family's bills. It is you who's gonna look after everything. It is you who is in charge of your life! It is you who's 100% responsible for fixing yourself! It is YOU who's they gonna look up to you when you do big!
    It is all about what you consume. Consume can be what you're feeding to your eyes with negative pictures like Pornography, dirty jokes or dirty movies, negative self talk, negative imaginations like "I can't do this," "I'm not good enough," "He is better than me," "She is better than me," etc!
    Change everything what you consume by consuming healthy food, healthy sleep, healthy environment, healthy pictures like this video and positive messages etc.
    Just don't be a slave to the negative environment and replace all your negative self-talks to "I can do this!" "I am blessed!" "I got this!" "I am strong," "I am beautiful," and more!
    Change your mindset and you will start to see life in different perspective.
    Godspeed to whoever read my long message and thank you for reading!.

      @@jakethesnake2x don’t agree to it. If you’ve seen Tom Bilyeu speak, you’ll know he’s no pushover. He has his own ideas and has a very effective way of communicating. The problem is we have mainstreamed this idea of being an intrusive opinionated host so much, that we think being an accommodative host is bad. There are way more examples of hosts being rude and interrupting that we are accustomed to believe that there can be no one to provide a platform for you to be heard. Even Ted Talks have hosts… won’t say they’re doing a bad job. A host is a just a presenter and a platform provider…and being given an opportunity to express yourself is a dying art.

    BRILLIANT synopsis of the sad status quo, I was born in the 50s and fortunately realised early that anything worthwhile takes time and effort, and the subsequent rewards are truly gratifying and tangible. Social Media by contrast is an insatiable bottomless pit of unlimited interaction without boundary which is purely virtual, it may as well be a dreamworld ~ there's no final conclusion, no end, no satifaction.

    • @samyakjain727
      @samyakjain727 28 วันที่ผ่านมา

      You are so so accurate in the last sentence. Everything I hate, and know I hate, yet still find myself needing in social media, is that
      Each day is a battle against the enfeebled post junkie who can’t stop drinking the slow poison. I
      ‘lost’ today to him. And I may lose tomorrow as well. The tide keeps coming in, reproducing our stupor, covering the gaze once more. We are not helpless, but our literal biologies are being hijacked. We understand life conceptually, although application of concept is detrimental and paralysing, as the cumbersome body almost infiltrates the mind’s purity. It’s a severing of our natural self
      Enough typing. Not even sure I’m making sense. But that’s the issue. I’ll express an essay online but not go out and apply it. Maybe I’ll still be here in an hour searching aimlessly for what’s right in front of me. Maybe not. The battle is daily

      How any one particular individual uses a cell phone or the internet depends on the individual not the generation they're born into.

    • @richardcarte139
      @richardcarte139 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@mehultrivedi732 Generations do not literally exist. What a quote-unquote generation is, is nothing but a mathematical measurement or method if you rather to find out how many people of any one particular group or of any one particular ideal act towards any one particular situation or number of situations or type of situations. It in Norway extent shape or form explains why they act this way or how they can improve oh, it is nothing more than finding an the behaviors of a majority. It does not prove anything nor does it provide evidence for anything. It is not a method that you can use to find out the behaviors or beliefs of any one particular individual, to do that there's only one thing left to do get to know that individual. This pathetic childish immature behavior of yelling at a quote-unquote generation is really just people yelling and judging a red line on a graph somewhere. How about the selfish quote on quote adults or if you rather quote-unquote elders want their children to stop acting a fool than they themselves need to stop acting a fool and this includes discontinuing the stupid immature childish behavior of yelling at a group made up of literally millions upon millions of individuals from every single country and culture on the planet simply because they're looking for a scapegoat for the world and this nation's problems. People never see the darkness in themselves they never will admit that they're part of the problem for feeding into this globalist Elite b******* system based on the noble lie which is the concept of as long as you give people a goal it doesn't matter what that goal is they will follow you off the edge of a cliff. I am a millennial at one of the things I love to do is buying save up silver. The music I also enjoy, the majority of it anyway, is classic music, classic music of Any Given drama and I like very few modern pop songs which my quote-unquote generation is stereotyped to listen to. I also support most, not all of Trumps s***. How about instead of yelling and dashing their own children the older Generations look in a mirror and look back to a time for those are automatically judged simply because they committed no other crime but being born into a specific generation. This behavior is nothing more than throwing a f****** temper tantrum tizzy fit. It is pathetic emotionally impulsive behavior that is doing nothing but serving the ego. It's certainly isn't saving the world and it certainly isn't saving the country and it certainly isn't f****** patriotic. People hate the younger generation so now it's for the same reason they always have is because they're trying to enact change. and it doesn't matter if that changes for the good the bad the grey, it's not what they're used to doing and because it's not A way that they're used to doing things it's automatically evil. Because they suffered your children have to suffer. How about instead of these quote-unquote elders Putting down now and children and scoffing at their own children for not doing things the same exact way they do how about the encourage their children to try and enact change that could make the world a better place. Because I'll tell you something else if these quote-unquote elders and these quote-unquote adults aren't Working to make the future better for their children than they aren't working for anything at all. Because this system that our elders are yelling at us for not wanting to be a part of is nothing but a slave system like I mentioned a few sentences before this. You want to get to know me Come and get to know me personally have a conversation with me don't for one second think you f****** know me or what I believe or what I do because you saw or even heard about some red line on a stupid piece of paper somewhere. The concept of the generation is yet just another title that people used Bosch one another for not being exactly like themselves. It is a form of prejudice and it's called juvenilia. If you are a f****** juven assist you are not an adult And I guarantee you actual adults or actual Elders if you rather are very few and far between in the whole of the human race. Stop acting like a bunch of f****** asses and your kids will stop acting like a bunch of f****** asses. You won't be able to be a better place didn't realize this f****** system that you want your children to be a part of so bad is the very thing that's killing Humanity. How about you learn to work with your children instead of bashing them for not being you. Go look in a f****** mirror you bunch of elderly hypocrites.

    • @richardcarte139
      @richardcarte139 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@mehultrivedi732 The old school way is what's killing humanity and this country among other countries. It was created in the 17 century by the French Elite, or rather the newer French Elite that took power after the takedown and execution of the Royals IE Marie Antoinette and her husband among others. It's called The Noble lie and it's the concept of as long as you give people a goal it doesn't matter what that goal is they will do whatever you tell them to do when you tell them to do it and follow you off the edge of a cliff. It is nothing but paid slavery. And although a lot of millennial individuals just like a lot of individuals in the human race as a whole are misguided, there are those like myself who want to change the world for the better but because what we're trying doing act, just like other young Generations always have is change that's why they hate us. No matter if the change is for the good the dark or the gray. Because if change exists it means that the world isn't actually black and white and if the world isn't black and white then how can we continue to Pat ourselves on the back and feed ourselves this illusion that we have control over nature and each other.

    It is not a self-esteem problem, it's a roadmap problem. It isn't that their self-esteem shatters, self-esteem can be rebuilt more easily than you would believe. It's their roadmap for success (show up, want to succeed, and complain when you don't) that shatters, and then they are left with no concept of how to succeed and no practice at the micro-skills necessary to do so. They were not taught how to succeed, so they are forced to figure it out themselves.

So I did what I thought was right. I wanted my son to always be happy. But that's not real life. It took me 14 years of his life until I realized the very serious mistake I had made. There are literally millions of really good jobs available, right now. Are they going to pay you to do little to nothing and show no ambition to help the employer be successful? Nope. Might you have to make a few sacrifices to justify the good pay and benefits they offer? Of course. FedEx, for example, has really good pay with great benefits, but you have to earn it. You can't take vacation from Thanksgiving through New years day, because that's the peak shipping season, and they need everybody there. @@italianmiltyfriedman6264 ah, and there is my big problem with millennials, and one that Simon doesn't really address. The arrogance. Millennials are incredibly and condescendingly arrogant. Like so many of them consider themselves "minimalists". That's great, good for you. But don't sneer and look down upon people who aren't. Also, don't try to force socialism/secularism on the whole country because you don't like capitalism and religion. America is great in large part because of those two things. Personal ambition in the case of the former, and humility in the case of the latter, which acts as a balance. You can also stop discounting the generations of the past anytime now. You have no idea what it was like live in their time, and "presentism" is a ridiculous concept. They built amazing things and institutions which we all benefit from today, and I am sure they were doing the best they could. Are you?

We are paid slaves not hardworking individuals. We are working for absolutely nothing and that is what Millennials are trying to change all of them are not misguided some of them are trying to enact change through good methods like Elon Musk for example who is a millennial, the reason older Generations bash younger Generations is because they are afraid of change because of the world isn't black and white then how can we continue to feed ourselves the illusion that we have power and control over each other and nature. The noble lie needs to go it is killing Humanity as well as this country and other countries. You want to get to know any one particular individual from any generation then you get to know them you sit down and have a conversation with them and get to know them that way new crop on a piece of paper somewhere is going to tell you that. When I retired, I gave away all of my technology and opted for a flip-phone for emergencies and I don't text. I watched smart phones kill real communication between human beings. One thing he drops the ball on is that it ISNT JUST the responsibility of the corporations to help the younger generation figure out patience and how to derive satisfaction…it’s THOSE PEOPLES responsibilities first and foremost. If they don’t decide to own their part, ask for help, and then do something to make that change stick, nothing will be different.
    I’m confident they can and that good leaders can help. The ownership piece is essential to accurately define.

      I agree, but also, the problem started externally, and in the name of balance, an external factor needs to mitigate it before the pace of change can fasten. Corporations have the power to create such a change, more so than Boomer parents (who were just teaching us what worked for them when economic and social pressures weren't so prevalent, and are way behind the times) and with that power comes some responsibility. But I do agree, as a 38 year old man, I and many of my peers need to work hard to catch up. There's a problem in middle management 🤣

    I encouraged my daughters to do well in school, and was always supportive of them. But I was also honest with them, I told them you may go with your heart rather than your wallet in a choice of careers, however, realize that you might limit your material and recreational opportunities in life by doing so.
    So figure out which is more important. My youngest said to me at her sisters college graduation, “I want to be one of the honored 4.0 graduates on stage when I graduate from here”. I told her, “I have no doubt that you will if you put your mind to it”., but I told her that because her of intelligence, organizational skills, and self discipline could have made it possible….and she did it. Both of my daughters “went with their heart” in career paths, and after much struggle are doing well. Your choices, willingness to struggle, patience, networking, getting off of social media, and seeing the world as it is, not how you feel it should be…all go a long way.

    As a millennial myself,
    I can say that everything he said brought tears to my eyes because it’s all true. I’ve always struggled with undiagnosed/untreated depression/anxiety since a child simply because my parents did “not have the time” to formulate a genuine and cohere relationship with me where I spoke to them about my mental issues. Still to this day I do not feel comfortable approaching them about my problems because whenever I try to, instead of understanding me and being supportive, they turn it back on me and make me feel like I am always the problem. I just learned to deal with it myself all my life. They also never forgot to mention that there are no friends in this thing we call life. I now realize that this is the reason why it is hard for me to keep consistent meaningful relationships in my life and why my natural coping mechanism is isolating which fundamentally makes it all worse.
    They mostly focused on work, money, social status and materialistic things. I now have difficulties explaining how I feel because I do not know myself how I feel inside. There’s so much trauma and hurt that was swept under the rug that is now resurfacing in my early ages of adulthood. Despite this, I was always motivated and a go getter no matter the circumstances. It’s unfortunate that I can’t say that about myself anymore because often times I find myself over analyzing, feeling so unmotivated to the point where it is hard for me to get out of bed and get on with my day. I know there are so many other people out there that can relate to my story and it is unfortunate that the reason we’re like this is not our fault. Even though I don’t hate nor despise my parents for what they did/didn’t do, I really wish they would of taught me some skills to deal with this hard life as an adult because this shit is not easy. But I know there is a light at the end of the tunnel and we will be okay as long as we re program our minds (subconscious) and let go of toxic habits.
    To whoever reading this I wish you nothing but peace and blessings in your life. We’re all in this mental fight together. 🫶🏼

      I am a boomer. Everything we wanted or needed in life required competing. There were too many of us. At times that was very exhausting. And it may be what underlies some of the behaviour of parents today. They too can say it’s not their fault.
      What separates humans from other creatures on earth is our ability to choose. We can make that work for us or ignore it and continue on the same path. I really learned this when faced with looming death. I made the decision, the choice, to live. Today, with the love of family and friends, I am doing very well.
      Friends do exist. With them you will find understanding, compassion and from time to time helpful advice.
      To everyone, reach out, build strong, meaningful relationships and get the conversations going. And remember, It is not what you do that defines you. It is who you are that matters.

    I am 53 years old and I became one of these millennial. Seriously.
    Except for the work part, I became a workaholic, working 7/7 , with my phone in my pocket. Fb became my best friend, my emotional link to the world.
    Last year, I decided to drop my job for sometime. I quit social media, stopped watching tv, stopped shopping, stopped wasting money, I started to live for myself and therefore reclaimed my life back. My iPhone batterie isn’t charging after 6 years and I am not getting a new one. After 7 months off, i am so happy, i am living the outdoors, enjoying staying home reading books, play guitar now, do huge puzzles, build Star Trek models, clean my roof, gardening, road bike riding, commuter cycling, I haven’t used my car 7 months now, I mountain bike too, indoor climbing, play soccer, running, walking , bird watching. I have reclaimed my health, my happiness and joy, no stress. I have lost all my friends but it’s ok. At this point, it is all about me.
    Millennial are not the only one suffering. I am no longer a slave. But I agree with the video.

      I too, grew up in the early eighties, in the projects no less. But it was the south. We had skateboards, Punk Rock, and weed. In the summer during the day we were at the public pool having a blast. In the evening it was dinner with the family, and we mostly ate vegetables. The evenings were spent skating, goofing off, and smoking weed. We had four TV stations, but mostly watched PBS. Cosmos, Nova, and Dr Who were some of my favorites. For radio we had classic top 40's, and college stations, these were the best. We also spent time camping out and fishing. The last place you wanted to be was inside. When school was in session, after school was spent making out, and doing homework with your sub-genius girlfriend. Plus watching Dr Who. Saturday was date night, so it was you your best friend and girls. We usually went skating or to a movie. When you got home it was time for Saturday Night Live. When I finished High School I went into the Navy for six years.
      I currently work in IT as a Data Center Manager. These are my memories most precious. Life was by no means easy, and at times very difficult. But things have a way of working out provided you are persistent.

    Great video but if you wanna be successful, you most take responsibility for your emotions, not place the blame on others. In addition to make you feel more guilty about your faults, pointing the finger at others will only serve to increase your sense of personal accountability. There's always a risk in every investment, yet people still invest and succeed. You must look outward if you wanna be successful in life, Successful people don't become that way overnight. most people see at a glance-wealth, a great career, purpose-is the result of hard work and hustle over time. I pray that anyone who reads this will be successful in life too 🙏🙏🙏
