Every single word, truth. That being said, my father (rest in peace dad) was a plant manager at a factory. He managed about 300 people. He knew the names of each one, he knew WHO each one was. He was ALWAYS the first to come into work, and he madr sure to say good morning to each and every single person and CARE about the short conversation each one had with him (and remember everything). Where ever you are dad, this video further showed me how special of a person you were.
What a great dad, my dad was the opposite and if he made it home for Xmas he was drunk! He took his childhood issues to his grave. I faced my darkness and found my light ... My dad was still my dad and I never hated him like the rest of my family. This hits me on such a personal level. Me and my girlfriend have our ups and downs but we always, always forgive each other. Yes sometimes it takes a while and you get mad at each other. Same man. Except my gf left after 15 months approximately. She is someone who works very hard for everything in her life. Constantly looking out for her loved ones, getting the best grades in university, and helping everyone with chores. She gave me many presents and she organised dates, while I didn't do that much at all. I wanted the best for her, but had no idea how. I kept letting her make all decisions because I thought that she'd always be happy with that. Can't make mistakes if you don't make choices. She was my first love so I really didn't know what it takes and how heartbreak feels, but when she went I realised all things that I could've done (better). Most important is communication, and I guess that somehow includes physical contact too, since it conveys the message "I love you" so much better than words ever can. I wish I had kissed her in the rain that one day in Amsterdam, it could've been amazing, but I didn't because I had doubts whether she wanted that, or if she wouldn't rather continue running to the nearest lunchroom. I should've done it anyway, but instead I waited for the moment to pass and think "better luck next time I guess". There never came a next time. Moments like these happened all the time, yet I rarely acted on it. I wish I'd just lived in the moment instead of making perfect plans for the future that never came. What do you have to lose is the question you should be asking. Unless someone can get hurt, just do it. Dance with her, kiss her, hold her hand and play hide and seek in the woods. There's nothing to be scared of. The worst that could happen is a no or some awkwardness, but does that really outweigh the potential for great memories? I don't think so

Today I lost the person who taught me love and kindness, the first person who pulled me out of the darkness. The first person ever that i can proudly say that I loved. In my whole life before we met I was oblivious to love. Tears just wouldn't stop flowing I cried and cried for the whole day for the first time in my life I cried so much. I've had bad experiences too which gave me this perspective cos it's easier to not expect reciprocation than to spend energy getting upset, or mad when you expect reciprocation and it doesn't happen.

The problem with love is that you sometimes think you're doing the right thing but then you're actually not. When you go to the gym you'll at least know what you're doing is working. It's a lot clearer. With love, it's not only consistency that is important, but also what you're consistent with. Besides that, if you keep doing the same things over and over then it will eventually bore a woman. You have to constantly spice things up in some way. However, you will inevitably make mistakes as you simply cannot read someone's mind. So then, it comes down to communication. Unfortunately, this seems like something a lot of people unknowingly fail at. Even when one person in the relationship is open for communication then the other person still has to open up as well. Even then, love is about far more. It's about loyalty, commitment and most importantly self-sacrifice. Consistency plays a big part in having a healthy relationship, but it's not everything. Sadly, nowadays love is mostly perceived as a feeling. When times get rough and the feelings fade then people are quick to jump to the conclusion that the relationship should end. This is however ridiculous because feelings of love can be re-ignited again fairly easily. If you have fallen in love with someone then you know they can make you feel in love again and again, and the other way around. They will pretty much always be able to do that. When the feelings of love do fade it often only takes direct and clear communication to solve the issue. Still, lots of people fail at that and then throw away a great relationship.

This hits me on such a personal level. Me and my girlfriend have our ups and downs but we always, always forgive each other. Yes sometimes it takes a while and you get mad at each other. Love isn't easy, falling in love is. Love is coming without fights, disagreements, and miss communications. But you get to know each other throughout this progress and allthough it takes a couple days for us to talk to each other again. We always happen to forgive each other. Same man. Except my gf left after 15 months approximately. She is someone who works very hard for everything in her life. I should've done it anyway, but instead I waited for the moment to pass and think "better luck next time I guess". There never came a next time. Moments like these happened all the time, yet I rarely acted on it. I wish I'd just lived in the moment instead of making perfect plans for the future that never came. What do you have to lose is the question you should be asking. Unless someone can get hurt, just do it. Dance with her, kiss her, hold her hand and play hide and seek in the woods. If from the very beginning you know that she is not into you, just leave her, don't let yourself hurt by someone who doesn't deserve you. Don't chase love, love will chase you when the time has come.

I disagree that courage comes from the outside all the time, there are people who don’t have the outside support and that have only themselves to rely on to pull themselves out of a pit because they may be surrounded by terrible family members or people in their sphere of influence. Courage is the decision you make to make a change and it can come from a multitude of reasons, internal and/or external.

The problem with love is that you sometimes think you're doing the right thing but then you're actually not. When you go to the gym you'll at least know what you're doing is working. It's a lot clearer. With love, it's not only consistency that is important, but also what you're consistent with. Besides that, if you keep doing the same things over and over then it will eventually bore a woman. You have to constantly spice things up in some way. However, you will inevitably make mistakes as you simply cannot read someone's mind. So then, it comes down to communication. Unfortunately, this seems like something a lot of people unknowingly fail at. Even when one person in the relationship is open for communication then the other person still has to open up as well. Even then, love is about far more. It's about loyalty, commitment and most importantly self-sacrifice. Consistency plays a big part in having a healthy relationship, but it's not everything. Sadly, nowadays love is mostly perceived as a feeling. When times get rough and the feelings fade then people are quick to jump to the conclusion that the relationship should end. This is however ridiculous because feelings of love can be re-ignited again fairly easily. If you have fallen in love with someone then you know they can make you feel in love again and again, and the other way around. They will pretty much always be able to do that. When the feelings of love do fade it often only takes direct and clear communication to solve the issue. Still, lots of people fail at that and then throw away a great relationship.

I think it's been about 6 months and she has found a new boyfriend, whereas im in my room playing video games and crying, unable to sleep and grasp reality.. i did love her.
