Would you rather shoot on film or fake it in LR?
Film seems more of a challenge, like you wouldn't want to do it all the time haha!
YOU DO MAKE GREAT VIDEOS AND I ALWAYS TRY TO WATCH IT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. ACTUALLY YOU FEW CANADIENS INSPIRE AND MOTIVATE ME A LOT (CHRIS, PETER, MATTI, GERALD, YOU AND FEW OTHERS) IM BASICALLY FROM INDIA AND it's 2:45 am I THINK THIS TIME YOUR CONTENT WASNT GOOD ENOUGH LIKE MOST OF YOUR PREVIOUS VIDEOS. IM EXTREMELY SORRY FOR SAYING THIS TO YOU BUT I HOPE YOU WILL TAKE THIS IN GOOD AND POSITIVE WAY. MUCH LOVE
I think I would rather fake it in LR since I do not have to wait for it to be processed or buy rolls of film. I did just order a film camera. I wanted to continue working with film since I learned and used a bunch while in school. At the moment though, I have no problem with faking it so that I can achieve the same look. Thanks Lizzie for this and sharing it with us!
Definitely shoot film itself. There is nothing like shooting and getting your film back. While emulating film looks are very in rn it doesn't hold a torch to film.
Use film simulations in Fujifilm.
As you edit the image, you're explaining why you're doing the adjustments. Not many people do it like you and for that I thank you.
Love this. Been stuck in a bit of a rut with editing every photo the same way. Nice to see a totally different edit to my own, it’s inspired me to do things a bit differently and have fun with edits again!
Great tutorial! Definitely a style I’d seen before but never was able to replicate. Have some clients that are going to love this style applied to their portraits! Thanks so much for sharing this!
This was such a good tutorial! Great speed (I hate it when they're too slow) and exactly what I was looking for with just the right amount of explanation and just doing it. Awesome, thank you!
This is awesome! I always lean towards dramatic edits its so nice to have something to reel me back in and this is hella accurate. Well done! I love how you look at colour editing
Thanks Ruta! It’s always fun to try different effects
Wow, that actually looks a lot like portra 400, didn't expect that. Nice job!
Love how simple is your explaination and straight to the point!
You’ve got some real dope skills Lizzie! Loved the video and the look! ❤️
Great video! Love that monitor too. I've been using it for the past 2 months, and I'm pretty pleased with it.
I love the fact that the monitor has measurement marks at the bottom and sides. I used nail polish marks on mine so that I can look at certain print sizes to scale.
That monitor looks amazing and I have been looking for a new monitor recently too!! Perfect
the photo looks so beautiful! uau....love it
This is sick, I just decided to go for a retro vibe for my whole channel, cheers
Thank you for the preset! Love all of the content!
I really love how you easily nail Portra 400 film like effect on this video! thank you for the knowledge on this . subs !
This is a really cool vibe. Loved this!!
I am loving the lighting and mood of your video so much that it’s distracting me from the actual content! Lol, great video!
Thank you! I like the way you explain your adjustments 🙏🏻
you had me at "free portra preset" - and love how you actually showed how you did it
Thought that might help 😂

Awake now, huh. Beautiful edit Lizzie, thanks for the film!
I was having a big issue finding out how to get this look and low and behold lizzie comes and saves the day
Girl you know what you're talking about!
Subscribed!
I’m a massive fan of Jose. You nailed the look! 🙌🏼🤘🏼👏🏼
Thank you sooo much for explaining this! I am quiet bad at editing tones and all I have is Photoshop CS4 but this video actually helped me out. :)
It looks amazing!!! Great content. Thank you
That's a very nice video. I love the ending result. Cheers from Brazil.
Love the ! I mostly shoot landscapes so editing portraits is not something I really do, but this preset works well (after some tweaking for winter conditions), thanks!
Thank you so much Lizzie, this is so helpfull!
lizzie videos are joy
well done. I tried creating a few on my own however this was a great tutorial and far better than my results. Really appreciate it
Thankyou so much for the presets ❤️
Dope! I literally have this monitor in my Wishlist. Waiting for black Friday though haha
Your voice overs are out of this world.
Thank you so much, such a great content, and much appriciated for the free Presets ❤
Love this analysis of Portra! TY!
Thanks for a really informative video Lizzie. Might have to take a look at that ASUS monitor.
Nice edit! Going to try it out for sure :)
Your video quality and edit is sooo high end!!
Awesome tutorial! This is something I'm trying tomorrow.
sick edit, love it
Thank you for this video and for the preset, I love the fact that I can pay what I want, so nice🙏🏻🥰😊
this was the most helpful! thank you!!
Thanks for the preset! I figured I'd pick up your Lunar pack and bedroom preset while I was there. I hope you have a wonderful day and give Luna a pet for me!
Hey! Tank you so much for this video and the preset. It's a great video!
That's great! Thank you 🤩
I love the thumbnail, the simplicity is awesome🔥I can see Chris in the back😂Hi Chris
Looks great!
What a nice monitor💯👏🏽
dang, the specs for that 24" variation at only $200 is actually really competitive.
and to think I just came to watch you edit photos - BONUS I got a good monitor recommendation.
I came here from Chris's channel, saw your video and ordered the 27"monitor.
I hereby declare you the most influential influencer ever! 😉
I like your content and how you explain things
Great stuff!
thanks for the video... i have 1 question, from 6:42 - -> 7:16 the image look completely different, yet we didnt see the change you did to it, did i miss something, felt like the crucial transformation for the look happened in that transition, yet we didnt see what you did.
You just earned yourself a subscriber!
you won a sub nice vids Great Energy and info
I use thius much thank is a lot! look so good
Great job!
I LOVE YOUR VOICE!
Awesome !!!
That's absolutely amazing! Loved seeing the process and I definitely need to spend waaaaayyyyyy more time diving into the intricacies of lightroom!
Keep up the awesome work and the preset is much appreciated 👍👍
Just here to say that I love this woman and I love her photos and editings
Thank you
Love the tutorial! How do you like working on the ASUS monitor?
Thank you!!
Notification squad 🙋🏽
Hii! Great video :)
How did you make the framework on the thumbnail? Looks great!
Brilliant
I don't actually watch sponsor adds but that editing is badass
thanks i like very much this content
What is your aperture & iso setting, if you don’t mind me asking? Your video looks amazing!
Hi Lizzie love your content as alwasy
Can you do a tutorial on the new colour grading tab in LrC? That would really help with my editing
Where do I type FONDUE! Great episode with Pete. Looking forward to checking out your stuff. Sick photos!
Who the f... down voted this video? You are killing it and your channel is one of my favorite channels. I really like your laid back professional presentation. Thank you and keep up the good work. You really deserve a lot more than 142k subs😊
@@tobiasnietgen OK, thank you for answering. I didn't think of that anyone would react with a down vote because of that 😊 As I see it, it's just a trend and next year there will be another look that is popular. Anyway, I look at the video as a whole and I like the way she's presenting her topics.
Hello can you make another edit for classic negative fuji look please 😍 I love you work!
schön dich zu sehen ❤️❤️ viele grüße von Köln
from germany 🇩🇪 with love❤️
which program you use to edit your videos? bcse it´s look really cool!!!
thanks
I find that portra is just a few kelvin north of daylight, plus green shift to pull some of those pork hues out of the skin of white people and cyan those skies. Basically like a flat Astia from Fujifilm.
Honestly, I prefer the blue magenta shift that Ektar has going on, I think it makes colour more a part of the equation compared to Portra's catch-all green beige aesthetic. It does look nostalgic though. ✌️
Would you use this editing style on a picture that doesn't have a person in it?
do specific picture profiles help with these presets?
I have that monitor it's awesome
The edit was amazing. The end result was stunning. Also who else caught a few photo elbow and ear bombs lol. I see you there Chris, who can notice how many times? This should be thing who can show up on the others vid with ninja like skill. Love you work Lizzie 😆😆😆
LOL it’s hard sharing an office 😂
@@LizziePeirce I could imagine but it also makes it fun.
Does this work on the mobile app aswell?
i shoot 160 porta and in the same shoot also with a digital. I edit my digitals in porta style for continuity
Hey, I heard about this video on matti's pod cast, you should do more film stocks
Can’t open up the file on my iPhone... 🥺
*here's a challenge for you can you shoot a cinematic video from default camera 📷 app and edit it on kinemaster app* plzzzzzzzzz🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿❤️❤️
Does anyone know how you can add the porta 400 framing around a photo?
PicsArt , go on stickers and search for Kodak
Now we need fuji400h 😁
💯
how can i take discounts code ? thanks
Nice tutorial. One thing though is greens. They seem to be more leaning toward orange than blue on majority of Portra shots I have seen. Those cold greens look more like Fujifilm to me.
Does this work for mobile lightroom?
is this also for mobile?
Lizzie do you like shooting with film?
I love shooting with film but at times I got a fake it to make my photos look great
4:08 Chriss peeked out. Did anybody notice?
:)
Leave it to me to be watching this while my 1983 Olympus is sitting next to me with Portra in it lol.
Editing my Sony mirrorless images when i could've just used it from the get go haha.
