    CeeCee, I am one of your new fans. I am healing from a difficult and long-term situation. Your videos are so healing. You helped me to pick up my brush once again and I enjoyed getting lost in the process. You helped give me the incentive and “push” I needed to finding my joy. I learned so much from this video. Your supply suggestions helps me to choose specific items instead of going out and spending money on tools I would not use. Carol S

      Dear friend, I am also coming out of a dark season, surviving much loss recently and overcoming cancer and medication brain and spinal damage. I've been miraculously healed and am living each day in grace and Faith (yes, God still heals!) This channel that CeeCee has made has been healing to the art part of my mind and heart. I pray for you to have beautiful healing days ahead for you.

    My experience with Molotow Liquid Chrome. You need a non-absorbent surface, like an acrylic background or similar. If you draw on a watercolor paper, it will absorb and the finish will not be shiny and beautiful.
    I hope this will avoid you needless disappointment
    😁

      Umberto Jatta Silvestrini thank you! Which is why i used it on here. Yupo is an almost non-porous surface made with plastic. That is why it shines like it does. I wouldn’t have used it on paper.

    I love the finished piece, even with the big black blob! (so typical..It's happen to me before and I've nearly cried! haha) but honestly, when you look at the overall piece..unless you know what's happened it doesn't look out of place!
    I had so much fun playing with the alcohol inks, I should have done pen testers like you did because my piece the ink is still a little wet..I'm hoping that it'll seal it up when I spray it with a fixative.
    I totally forgot to show the smaller pieces which is super annoying as they are my fave ones. but I love the colours we got on the big sheets!
    I miss you so much..I wanna come back right now so we can art together (well..after you've had a nice long sleep😂) love you xoxoxoxox

You piece came out wonderful and no worries for the smudging: you can spray it with Kamar Varnish and let it dry completely. Maybe you can test it out on a smaller piece before. I’ve never sealed over India ink. Luv y’a oodles! 😘

    I have found that the sharpie paint pens especially after you have already opened them separate A LOT when they sit .... I have learned that I have to shake them like crazy check the paint shake again paint again ... sometimes you have to do little dots because it seems like the paint and medium even separate on the tip. I won’t buy them again unless I find them seriously discounted because the time I spend making them work is not worth the money. I know certain techniques are better for the oil based so I like to have them for that reason , but I will just spend the money on posca instead of the water based sharpie.

    Hi, I'm so curious about what you experience with being sensitive to alcohol ink. I've recently started experimenting with them and boy have I been feeling unwell! I have made sure I have good ventilation but I'm really wondering if it's not enough or Im very sensitive. It could be completely unrelated too.. I'm not sure but I'm going to put them away and see if I don't start feeling better. I've definitely played with them a lot.

    I used your results to buy a pen that I could use with my alcohol ink. I wanted something to withstand the alcohol. I ended up getting the Sakura Microperm because that was the pen I could find. Yasutomo didn't seem "findable" easily in Canada. It didn't really smudge in your tests, but when I apply alcohol directly, it definitely spreads. I left the ink to dry for over 24 hours and it still spread. I want to do ink drawings and then alcohol ink (including the isopropyl) over top, but I can't seem to find videos that show the pen ink in relation to the isopropyl. Most just use Copic markers over the fineliner. Have you found an inking pen that withstands the isopropyl?

  • @mumstheword8851
    @mumstheword8851 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi CeeCee. How did you make the picture you're doodling on? Is it just dropping different shades of ink on top each other and leave to dry? Or is it alcohol dropped on? I'm probably missing a tutorial somehow... But the treetop effect is so beautiful. And the doodling, of course! As your black ink splodged we said 'oops' simultaneously. I had to laugh 😀 Turned out fine tho! 👍

    CeeCee - First, I love your work! It is lovely and your videos are both informative and a joy to watch. However, as I was watching this one, it made me rewind and take a second look. I use Pigma Micron pens in all my work, every day. I have never had them smudge or smear, and they have always been waterproof for me. I use only the .005s and the .003s in black, brown, and sepia. I draw with them and then watercolor right over them and also use colored pencil over them, sometimes even just seconds after putting down the ink. Maybe it's because I use the really fine ones that they dry so quickly? Anyway, you can see what I mean on my Instagram: @bonnierosendale. (Please, I am not trying for a personal plug here. This just shows what I do with the ink so you can see. It never smears or smudges for me.)

      Bonnie, Pigma Micron pens are definitely waterproof on paper and resistent to water or watercolors! i use them as well. however, this test was done on YUPO paper which is made of plastic and non-porous. and although the Pigma Microns does write very well on yupo, they will smudge. i hope this helps!
