These bits with the crew are some of my favorites, I think they really allow Conan's comedy to shine. It was the same with the staff bits he did at tbs, there's something so special about doing comedy with everyday people rather than celebrities.

@@kcbroncohater They didn't make next round because of number of goals scored. Coach was fired soon after. They likely only needed one more goal to move on to the knockout rounds.
At least they are guaranteed to be in the next Cup.

Conan made an awkward and negative situation a positive and understanding situation, also the fact that Conan made everybody confortable with the idea that they can speak up if they have a request, suggestion or a need. And it shows that the people around him are as valued as he is to his brand, and is the mark of a great person who just happens to be their boss.

As a Mexico fan, I had very low expectations. They had so many chances vs Poland.
And for a brief moment there was an inch of hope during both games. And yet Mexico still couldn’t score more goals. It was heartbreaking. Here’s hoping for 2026.

I was listening to this in my car, and as soon as he said the score and the time left I INSTANTLY knew what was about to happen. It was like knowing a car crash was going to happen and running exact spot on the side of the road to watch it happen in real-time.

Im from Finland. Only time we managed to get into BIG tournament, we scored 1 goool. And it was the match, where opponents MVP died for 2-3min, due to heart attack. In front of homecrowd & family. Thank god he survived

Actually even with Saudi Arabia scoring, Mexico still only needed another goal to advance. If the game had ended 3-1, Mexico would have tied Poland in goal difference but surpassed them in goals in favor which is the next tie-breaking criterion. :'(
not really bc if it ended like that mexico would’ve been out either way on yellow cards. poland had 4 and mexico finished with 7.

I am a programmer and normally use two monitors. That day I had my two monitors plus two TVs, one of each game. The last games of the first round played simultaneously to avoid players to know other scores, thats why is so exciting to watch them, until last minute you know if your team advance or not.

This is the weirdest way I got to remember that Mexico game. Right when the audio engineer was caught, i was down here in Mexico hoping that they'd score another goal after the one Chavez scored from a free kick. We were really close to advance, and even when France would've gotten our asses handed to us, it still would've been cool to see.
Edit: Wow they got to the point where Saudi Arabia scored right at the end.

This was me at work, I was pretty busy and my coworker was helping me out, although I am Mexican and she is not, I told her she would be Mexican while the game was on, when Mexico scored 1, we cheered, when Mexico scored 2 we cheered and I hugged her, then Saudi Arabia scored and I got sad as hell, it got real quiet in that room after that hahaha

As someone who doesn’t watch sports, I personally feel like if you put anything above your family or job, you need to either make that thing your life/job or re-assess your priorities because it is obviously something you hold in super high importance.

Right that was the best Mexico performance I've seen since the Germany match against a decent Saudi Arabian team and yet it had to end that way.
