the throttling only happens for the fps, if your game runs below 120/90, it gonna lock on 60 and still gonna run normally (because it not gonna limit the processing), but something like a "battery throttling" happens when the phone reaches 5%, this one actually limits the cpu usage and maximum clock, i own a poco x4 gt and this happens a lot tbh. i use some adb shell apps to try to go through this, the app that causes it its called "battery & performance". i disabled it with adb one time and i noticed that my framerate didnt locked, but instead i noticed that my phone got really more laggy than before, so don't disable it because you gonna solve one problem, but face another one.
One highly underrated thing about Poco devices is their Dolby Atmos in Video mode. Man, that thing is crazy good and super underrated. It made my half-in-ears sound on the level of in-ear buds. What's you opinion on it @Kenneth?
Interesting! I generally have recommended turning off Dolby Atmos for earbuds (cause they change the sound quality of the buds) but I'll try to check it out If we're talking video mode then we're using this for movies? Like Netflix?
@@namedkenn @namedkenn The settings works for pretty much anything I'd say. For music, TH-cam, movies. And just like you, I also turn it off if I have a decent pair of headphones attached because it changes the sound by A LOT. But if I'm using the phone speaker or half-in-ears, it improves the depth and bass by sooo so much on video mode. I have seen this on 2 phones, Poco F3 and Remdi Note 10 Pro. However, this setting produces vastly different results on cheaper Xiaomi models with little to no difference. I don't know how it works on the newer models, and that's why I wanted to hear your opinion on Dolby video mode.
In case I wasn't able to communicate properly, in the Dolby Atmos settings there are further 3 or 4 modes, Auto, video, music, voice (I think). From there you select video mode.

Ur Poco x6 pro might die someday while ur playing like the x3 pro did, idk man the Poco x series phones have the lowest lifespan 😭
if it survives even 3 years then i think its a good value
@@imadam1121It has 4 years of security updates so it will last for atleast 5 years
The motherboard issue has been resolved with the previous lineups after x3 pro
@@texas975 I think Poco x6 pro will face GPU issues 2-3 years from now on
@@imadam1121 lets see if you are correct.
Thinking of getting this phone actually. How does it perform in emulation?
i mean if it can ran cod warzone a gfx 60 fps it can definitely play emulation
If i buy fan cooler, maybe it decreases heat?
Absolutely and that’s what I recommend, if possible
I was using Poco X3 snapdragon 860, but after heavy gaming with Genshin and Pubg everyday, in 2 years it got heating and mother board issues., Now it won't turn back ON. I hope they have Updated SD 8s gen3 with better cooling system.. If not then the phone may last only around 2 years and you need to change the motherboard or you need to choose a different mobile. I just chose Iqoo 12 over any other phone since it has better specs similar to ROG.
the throttling only happens for the fps, if your game runs below 120/90, it gonna lock on 60 and still gonna run normally (because it not gonna limit the processing), but something like a "battery throttling" happens when the phone reaches 5%, this one actually limits the cpu usage and maximum clock, i own a poco x4 gt and this happens a lot tbh.
i use some adb shell apps to try to go through this, the app that causes it its called "battery & performance". i disabled it with adb one time and i noticed that my framerate didnt locked, but instead i noticed that my phone got really more laggy than before, so don't disable it because you gonna solve one problem, but face another one.
Idk much about it
But i have poco x6 pro and no lag in wuthering waves at highest settings
The game itself is really something, even in S24 Ultra it lags which is crazy, hopefully I can revisit the game in X6 Pro soon

One highly underrated thing about Poco devices is their Dolby Atmos in Video mode. Man, that thing is crazy good and super underrated. It made my half-in-ears sound on the level of in-ear buds. What's you opinion on it @Kenneth?
Interesting! I generally have recommended turning off Dolby Atmos for earbuds (cause they change the sound quality of the buds) but I'll try to check it out
If we're talking video mode then we're using this for movies?
@@DocThinks yeah for enjoying stuff dolby atmos do great. but for reviewer like him not all phone use dobly atmos so its better to just use the original EQ from the buds and iem itself. also it more like a personal preference you could just pick which is good in some scenario
@@jackdarrow3011 I just feel like it's something that's not talked about enough, judging how it is vastly different from Dolby Atmos being provided by other brands. And I also super respect @Kenneth's audio opinions, so I wanted to hear his opinion on this too.
I'm currently typing from Redmi Turbo 3 (CN version of the F6) and yeah, i could play any games, no drop, heat is managable due to Xiaomi did "nerf" the processor in this model to make it in the long term using. I dont play WuWa because they optimized bad on mobile, but other than that you should maxed out on every game (HSR Golden Hour map could make Turbo 3/F6 drop a little bit, maybe from 60 to 47-52, but yeah, still managable)
You should actually add Fortnite Mobile as well !!
It's a game that pushes the limits of any phone too
you should replace your channel logo with your face or some other creative stuff, because just using letters feels like corporate channel (which prevented me from clicking your video since i thought it would not be honest, but later i realised you are an individual creator, i think this would be same for other viewers also who watch you for first time),
and use your face in every video thumbnail to highlight yourself as a brand, (always remember, we watch your video partly for product and partly for your opinion itself because we see you as a separate brand itself)
i apologise if my view offended you in some way.😅btw big fan bro 😘

In Genshin Impact, what's the Default Graphic Settings in Snapdragon 8s Gen 3? Low, Medium or High, since I was planning to buy one?
Why does the default matter???
The video was really helpful
I’m glad that’s the case! 😆
Those phones with gen3 SD makes flagship phones cry and regret spending more money with the same chipset, flagship killer is the best.
Yeah but there's an issue with poco phone's motherboard. Four of my friend's motherboard got damaged within a year. The performance was smooth though.
This is a crazy phone for just 300$
When the gt 20 pro review coming? 🙂... Lov the vid 🖤

would love to see video for redmi note 13 pro plus 🥺
I saw it on sale for $289(6+256 version) without any card discount
By the way, I noticed that you didn't turn on the "Ultimate Mode" through the battery logo as it should've turned blue with arrows icon facing up.
Try turning that on through the Security app or just drag down the features panel and you should get the full potential of the POCO F6 👍
no bro it will heat up our f6 im using pubg mobile without ultimate mode and game turbo off that can run smoothly because this processor can easily handle without game turbo . next time try this

If the phone goes up to 45 Celsius don't play.Your screen will burn in.I lost two Xiaomi phones because of high temperatures.
On the screen side it's just 40 most of the time tho, and 42 max but very rare, older phones could get hotter but nowadays they good
