I'm a teacher and vegan. So if I make a recipe with my class it's always vegan. Last week we made smoothies and the kids loved it so much. They went to other teachers and said 'Our teacher always makes delicious recipes with us, because she is vegan!'. That made me sooo happy, the fact that they associate being vegan with something positive. And that they equal being vegan with delicious....
Martine R that’s awesome! What ages are the kids? Could you mention other recipes you have done with them? I have baked bread, made soup and smoothies with preschoolers.
@@princessaome Thanks! They're 7-9 years old. We have baked applecake, made lentilsoup and the smoothies. We also made buddhabowls, that was a lot of fun too. And we tasted all sorts of exotic fruits and nuts. I also let my colleagues (and somtimes kids from other classes) try everything, to make them excited as well.
Aw that makes me so happy! So cool that you share recipes with them. You're planting seeds for a lifetime of healthy eating/habits in them already and that is such a gift! Keep shining your light

I’m studying to be a teacher and have wondered how I will expose my future students to veganism without seeming “preachy.” I love this idea!
I relate so much with what Nisha said about mayo, I hated mayo before going vegan but now I LOOOOVE vegan mayo! My absolute favourite brand for vegan mayo is B-Well, and my least favourite is Hellmann's.
The when comment of looking at nonveganism food as not being food is so true. Like I don't even crave it or think about it. When people are all eating some of my old favorite junk food around me ( like Reese's ) I do t even bad an eye. This is because I don't associate it with food. It's crazy how that just happens. And great episode! Love the chance get in pace

hahaha right? I didn't even realize I did that until they pointed it out and now it makes me laugh every time. I think maybe it's because I finally feel my age. I'm capable and experienced and grown up... I've lived a lot of life already, but I'm still young and silly sometimes. I think it just feels like a good age to me so I talk about it a lot lol Glad I'm not the only one!
You 3 are so uplifting and supportive of each other and women in general. Nisha, I feel you. I grew up in Texas too, North Dallas and I felt at home there. When I was in middle school, my family moved to the East coast of central Florida and I felt so out of place as a Latina person of color. Most of the kids I went to school with in TX looked like me but when I moved to FL, most of them were bleach blonde surfers and I felt so out of place. "I'm 30!" Ha! Nikki, I turned 30 last year too and I swear this comes up constantly!

I am so proud of all of you young ladies. Dani is so fortunate to know how to raise her children vegan. I am 61 and have only been vegan about a month. I have a son who is 31 and I can't convince him to switch (for his health) even though I was the mom who convinced him to eat the way he does now - when he was 8! I just can't get him to see the logic to not be stubborn about something I taught him to do in the first place. I told him I know better now! Wish me luck.
Nisha, I grew up in Southern California and am currently living in the Salt Lake City area of Utah...we’ve been here for 5 years and I still can’t get used to the snow. I hear you! I guess I’m just stuck being a wimpy California girl when it comes to snow...
Same! I grew up in Southern Cali and have been in SLC for nearly 9 years. I am more used to the snow, though, just not the cold.

NikkiVegan maybe you guys could do one homemade pepperoni and have other store bought ones ? then experiment with different cheeses like violife, daiya , follow your heart etc. on the pizza but keep the sauces and the dough the same so it’s a true taste test 😂 pepperoni pizza with the butter garlic sauce certain pizza places would sell was my favorite omggg 🤤 but I’d love for you guys to try this out !💓

Regarding the office cupcakes -- I do the exact same thing, where I think of how these are made of cow's milk unnecessarily. Also it's nice to be able to be the "healthy one" in the office that is always abstaining from eating treats. (There are tons of them all the time in my office, so if I made an exception for office cupcakes I'd be in a constant sugar coma anyway!! but little do they know I go home and eat vegan coconut cookies haha)
Nina exactly, I was nodding as Nikki spoke of this, all I see is the cruelty in those treats, those beautiful mama and baby cows, and chickens (eggs), it’s not worth it! plus I’m also lactose n tolerant... so I’m definitely the healthiest person at my job! 🙃

I honestly can’t even express how much you girls inspire me. You’re all so grounded and you focus on the things that are really important in life. I’m someone who has a really hard time being present and living in the moment and it sometimes feels like my life is flying by but when I sit and watch your videos, either the Vegan View or each of your individual channels, it allows me to be present and to learn at the same time! Thank you ladies for being such amazing role models, sending you hugs from snowy Canada!

Great job ladies! You’re definitely “killin it”! Super great thoughtful advise! I loved what each of you said but I am especially loving the parts about, if you could have everyone put on your goggles and see what you saw when you looked at all the animals and knowing them as the awesome sentient beings that they are, and starting off with, knowing that we all have negative and positive aspects of ourselves, that was wonderful and felt so nonjudgmental and loving, and that we all deserve a space in this world, no apologies, and that we’re multi faceted! All three of you had great advice and it all seemed individual and yet interchangeable! Again, great job and thank you for ALL the hard work you put in to this channel, including the back scenes people, I see you! I think it would be safe to say that we all appreciate it and most importantly the precious animals appreciate it! Please keep this channel vital and growing strong in love the greatest healing force in the universe, accountability, responsibility, keeping it real, great information, having a loving inclusive vibe, creating a platform for a safe, powerful, loving community, it’s wonderful to witness females getting along, rooting for each other and empowering each other and therefore being a great example, not that it’s limited to women!

I don't understand people who feel social pressure for being a vegan. Its not something you do for approval guys, you make the decision for yourself. Thats just how I perceive it.

I would love to see a video on your guys’ fast food orders/substitutions/menu hacks for vegans/vegetarians! I’ve been vegetarian for 7 years and ordering at fast food places like McDonald’s, Burger King, Taco Bell, etc. is always a struggle to find something I can eat without it always being a salad. I’d love to know!

I love that you mentioned vision boards. One of my closest friends just told me she is making vision books that she can carry in her purse. I think this is such a great idea because she can then look at them anytime she needs motivation, inspiration, or a positive pick me up! Traditional vision boards are so big you can only leave them at home and who of us only needs that positivity just at home? I think it’s a cool idea!

"It almost doesn't even look like food," talking about non-vegan stuff. Exactly. If I see, let's say, a Bacon Double Cheeseburger, I literally feel revulsion - a heavy, greasy, heart clogging mess with death and cruelty in every bit of it. YECH! Get it away! Brrr. There is ZERO "temptation" at this point, viewing such things through a vegan lens.
Yeah maybe I don't feel it to an extreme degree, but definitely feel revulsion as well.

Some how I'm laughing or smiling. As I'm watching the vegan view. I'm proud of Dani! I feel like an away people like myself don't realize how much parents have to go through. The time the motivation making sure everyone is ready. At the same time you have to make sure your taking care of yourself.
I've always wanted to visit California. I'm from Australia so it's a long way away but one day I'm determined to go there. Aside from LA I've always loved the vibe of San Fransisco from what I've seen and heard too. The architecture looks so pretty and colourful and the city itself seems to me like it would be very accepting, progressive and educated. My kind of demographic.
I grew up in Montana where the snow is unbelievable during the winter

they have community gardens here....maybe one day I'll have time for that but at the moment I have 4 jobs so that's not really an option. One day though :)
I have lived in LA my whole life. I have a 3 car driveway, a yard and plenty of street parking. I also have never seen anyone naked or peeing. Which part of town are you guys hanging out?

I think with starting a social media platform you also want to have an idea what what content you are trying to create or a message you are trying to touch on first. I see so many people who start online because they want to make it a job but have no clue what avenue they even want to go down. It's like starting a business but not having a product yet, it just doesn't work. It's probably why so many accounts are clones of one another, not in it for the "right" reasons.

I also picture what non-vegan food actually is and the hidden torture that is involved and it makes me not even think about eating it ! If i know something at the office is being celebrated Ill bring a vegan version so I can join in while being true to myself! Now that everyone at my office knows my views its not even discussed and when it is it is people asking questions about veganism that I totally welcome! It starts with a few questions before they go off on their own and research veganism and become more open to the idea!

Please do a video explaining all ingredients to look for when becoming vegan and can you also explain if you only eat something that says certified vegan? What if you look at the ingredients and there's no animal by-product that stands out to you do you eat it? I have a butter from Smart Balance that says it's an oil blend I read the ingredients and there's just a bunch of different oils mixed in together but it doesn't say certified vegan on the package anywhere what are you guys doing this situation? Do you eat it?
I just found your channel and all of your individual channels as well. I am on day 5 of Being vegan and I'm feeling so inspired and proud and happy! I did it thinking it was going to be a 7 Day Challenge to see if it was possible and just see what the side effects or symptoms would be and I can't believe I didn't do this sooner! I feel so much lighter and i don't have to count every calorie like i was before when trying to lose weight.
