We live in the era of NO CERTIFICATION. It is so concerning how nonchalant we have gotten with paying for services from people who can’t even present a license. These people are rarely ever licensed or even have their licenses on display. They just have a pretty location and do good work, and that’s enough for people to not use their common freaking sense. Eyes, eyelashes, hair, skin, and the overall body are not things to PLAY WITH! You need schooling and education.

HUNNAY; I take my Pennsylvania State Boards for my certification as A CERTIFIED PEER SUPPORT SPECIALIST in the mental health field in Philadelphia on June 26th and I can definitely practice my profession as of right now; BUT I WOULD RATHER WAIT UNTIL IM BOARD CERTIFIED!!° AND THAT'S ONLY TO SIT THERE AND LISTEN TO SOMEONE WHO NEEDS A STRONG SUPPORT SYSTEM IN THEIR LIVES!!!!

I had to train for 9 months just to count pills in a retail pharmacy. Compounding and administering immunizations required even more. And I had to do 20 hours of CE to keep my license and certification. It also all had to come from programs that carried the proper accreditation, not just some random online "class."
Having since gone back to school for a bachelor's degree and moved on to medical school, I'm amazed at the risks some people take with cosmetic procedures. Looking at the ingredients in something as simple as some of the glues used for lash extensions is enough to put me off all cosmetic procedures.

However, not everyone is meant to be an entrepreneur, especially seeing how people want to cut corners so they can look rich. It takes a lot to run a business and ensure that you have the knowledge and skills to build one. I can go on lol but you get my point.

I think you should do a deep dive into the hyaluron pen as it’s a whole video topic in itself, such pens were originally designed to inject medication into muscle without the need for precision. With lip injections, you need that precision and control plus they can shoot HA in way too deep. Hyaluron pens absolutely should not be used for dermal fillers- as of yet there’s no alternative for people who are afraid of needles.
Side note, this is a really high quality video and I’m surprised you don’t have more subscribers as your commentary is really smooth and concise and overall a great watch😊

If someone says "I can do nails, so obviously I can do veneers, lip injections and BBLs" and some idiot gives them money and let's them permanently alter their body, it's on both of them. We cannot live in a world where the internet exists and you have access to all the information you need 24/7 and people choose stupidity and then act surprised when they are left looking like Quasimodo in the ER knock, knock, knocking on heavens door because they let Ashley at the nail shop inject some unknown concoction into their face.
Hyaluronic acid pens are NOT a thing, you need to go to a doctor/surgeon to inject ANYTHING. If it breaks the skin, you need a medical professional, you could die.

I as a makeup artist didn’t feel comfortable doing makeup without a license. I went and got my license to be a master cosmetologist. I wanted to work in a salon and also be able to do facial waxing. I still to this day, 10 years later, still get continuing education. Legally I can do all hair services except anything with a straight razor, you have to be a barber. I can do makeup, basic facials, all nail and foot work like gel, basic mani pedi and acrylic. I can do all facial waxing and tinting services, and yes I can do lash extensions. You have to be licensed by your state as a cosmetologist or esthetician to do lashes. If you go to the nail salon and they do lashes ir even waxes, they legally cannot do that unless they have a master cosmetology or esthetician license. You can always tell who has a license EASILY! No gloves, no proper sanitation, they double dip in the wax with the same stick. They reuse nail files on natural nails..

He’s not hurting anyone and we now live a comfortable life and are able to help others. You are right when you say these scammers don’t want to put in the hard work to be legit and not harm others. The big thing with these pens is that the administration of the meds is NOT controlled at all and with lip fillers, you NEED to be precise. The type of needless device was created and best suited for those with diabetes who HAVE to do daily injections, sometimes multiple times in a day.

Hyaluron pens are even higher risk than injections and a little research would have shown you that. There are no such thing as safe lip injections either. Hyaluronic acid is not necessarily for injections because they haven’t been done long enough for them to have done the research to see the long term effects but what they do know is one injection of hyaluronic acid can last in your lips for years and they recently discovered they shouldn’t be using it under the eye because it swells over time and grows instead of dissolve. Just don’t get filler it’s not good for you at all.

Whoever needs to hear this: You are beautiful. You, just as you are right now, have value and grace. When wanting a bit of a polish, treat yourself as the jewel you are and don't let just any one try to mess you. Spend the money on not just the service but the education and expertise. You should always come first. Don't cheap out on yourself.

I have personally met SoMiink because I took one of her lash classes in Houston. Her name is Tatyana Williams. She is soft spoken and a sweet lady. She admitted she went to Esthetician school but did not finish and is not licensed to do eyelash extensions. She is a hustler. She's just trying to survive by hustling people who are desperate to earn money. I learned a little from her, but let's be honest, you gonna need more than one day to learn proper technique... its lowkey a scam. I properly learned to do eyelashes by working for a professional lash studio as I'm now licensed, and it took me a good 2 weeks of practicing on several models daily before I gained some confidence. Beware of the unlicensed techs trying to make a quick buck. I'm sure it wasn't her intention to harm her client, she was just riding a new wave to make extra income and it failed. It's unfortunate to see her in this predicament... I thought she was a nice girl.

I live in Germany and here it's completely legal for "Heilpraktiker" (healing practitioners) to inject people with lip fillers. To become a Heilpraktiker you don't even need a high school education, you don't need any medical training or other education at all. You just have to pass a simple test that's supposed to asure that you are not a danger to peoples health (what ever that means) and after thst you're free to go. It's scary and a real issue here. The funny thing is dentists and nurses are not allowed to do lip injections.. Make it make sense. Our healthcare system has a lot of positive aspects but the laws regarding "healing practitioners" are extremly messed up and problematic.

Saline is a specific solution of salt water, reminiscent to the human tears and sweat of a properly hydrated person, minus any bacteria that occurs on our skin... Saline is a safe thing and while it does not dissolve, it is absorbed by the body... If anyone is injecting saline, it won't last longer than a few hours. The only reason someone would do something like saline is to show what lips may look like after getting actual fillers. I believe it's called a "Cinderella Lips" procedure, and thus named because it's temporary, more so than other types of fillers.
That being said, definitely only ever go to a licensed person for any sort of procedure, especially fillers.

While I agree with checking credentials, I have to correct you on saying you can’t get lashes, fillers nails and hair in one setting. As a licensed cosmetologist or esthetician you automatically qualify to be able to get licensed to do Botox but you MUST carry a cosmetology or esthetics license to even take the Botox class. Same thing with becoming a nail tech, you must carry a cosmetology license to take the class but it’s absolutely possible. Just always check credentials and you can find both cosmetology and esthetics license on the states board of cosmetology website using the persons first and last name. Licensed Esthetician here.

I appreciate your comment ❤️, I learn something new everyday.
I guess another red flag with fake “techs” (you let me know if it isn’t), she had her client going back and forth from getting hair done and then filler. Would the order matter? As in, finish doing the hair first, and then filler. Or the order doesn’t matter as long as she makes sure she’s not ‘cross contaminating’ (for lack of a better term).
      I hope this makes sense.

@@BusiswaG No problem babe ❤️ and oh no that’s absolutely not sanitary and that would probably mean she’s more than likely not licensed, we spend the 1st few weeks of school learning sanitation and not cross contamination alone, to the point where it becomes 2nd nature when working. She can’t be licensed because they teach us about secret shoppers from the board coming to get services to see if we’re following the rules, and we be too afraid to not go by the book in fear of losing our license or being sued. That’s horrible and everyone waiting for a service should have got up and left immediately when they saw that

In the state that I live, they don’t even offer every other day schedules for cosmetology. It’s either nine till 1 PM every day or 9 o’clock until four PM every day. You have to put your hours in and now I see certain states are trying to eliminate cosmetology license. You don’t have to go to Dental school? Apparently not because these people are getting away with everything.

You are so informative! I’ve never had any of these procedures, but I think it’s great that you care enough for people to make these videos. And I’m sure all the time you pour into it doing your research is not easy, but I pray that you will be greatly rewarded! God bless you!

Even nail techs are risky, I’ve had nail infections before! I’ve had extremely painful sets of nails. 💅🏾 Now I just do my own natural nails.

I had thought about cosmetology school but when I thought about the chemicals and exposure to myself and clients changed my mind.
Formaldehyde is not the worst of them.
I use to have acrylic nails put on they tore my nail beds up after I would have them removed.
OMG! My finger tips hurt so bad. I literally could not touch anything without feeling pain.
    Never again.
I stopped having my natural hair relaxed in 1999.
I came across an article that said the inside scaples of deceased Black women had a greenish film covering them from the chemicals they used to relax their hair.
I never relaxed my hair again. I started telling Black women about it but they ignored me.
Up do's were all the rage. Sew in's weaves all that.
I did try the Up do's , not the glue or sew ins.
There was an unspoken culture hair competition back then.
I just said the hell with it, I am going natural. How they laughed at my hair.
Twenty years later these same laughing women have hair loss.
One woman saw me and actually admitted she and her friends laughed behind my back about my hair. She said now look at us, no edges and have to wear wigs because we have no hair.
Ladies believe natural is best! Love yourselves and embrace the aging process. It is a beautiful journey if you are willing to just accept someone natural body changes.
You can improve in areas you feel you need to Yes! Do that but remember research and consult with an expert and ease into the change.😊🎉😂

This issue exists across many professions. I’m a marine electrician with the proper credentials. I’ve had a few people call me about a job, then when they hear the estimate they go on Craigslist to hire a random unqualified person for cheap. Then a week later they call me to come fix what the other person did. It always costs them more to fix it than the original quote. At least in this case it can usually be corrected before something bad happens. With medical/dental stuff the stakes are so much higher.

Let me get this straight, so long as you add “tech” at the end of something I guess it makes you qualified to play with people’s lives?! What is going on with people?
