In this video, I talk about consumerism and how it keeps you poor. I believe that social media, inflation and the general Nigerian culture fuels overconsumption and buying too much stuff.
I think there is a better way to create a lifestyle that is meaningful, sustainable and gives chance for a future of freedom.
It doesn't have to be absolutely minimalist and my video on why looking poor is important addresses this but it is important to live life meaningfully.
TikTok shop, instagram, social media ads,and social media in general will have you thinking you need to spend all your money and flex your rich lifestyle but you have nothing to prove to anyone. Your financial habits have serious implications. Buying stuff like perfumes, skincare products, stanley cups in the multiples is just not financially wise.
