great build as always Egg! just a small thing, you introduced the site entrance toll booth, but remember to also put it at the other entrance (from the highway). Love Orchid Bay!
I use the bucket excavators in the same way in C:S but irl they wouldn't be in mountains cutting out rocks they would be digging away soft topsoil in plains 😂
Great build, adds a lot to that mountain range :) You could think about adding a small bus loop through the whole area as if the workers leave their cars at the bottom of the valley and then are being driven to their respective work site. Using the small minibuses it could look great I think!
I love it, this is probably my favorite build. One of my pet peeves about CS is the scale of the landfills and mines. All the ones I've seen are massive plots of land that stretch hundreds of acres, I love cutting into the terrain to make realistic looking ones.
Love all the overgrowth and rock detailing. Makes it feel more real. You can imagine a glacier carving out the mountains and leaving all those massive boulders. It's great what you've been able to do with basically vanilla!
I love envisioning these partially deserted hamlets, outposts, or clusters of houses nestled high in the mountain valleys, situated above the quarry. Incorporating some University-themed low residential buildings would absolutely complement the scenery! (and incorporate some fancy lore into Orchid Bay)
I always love the big factory fusing you do. Now without real fusing, but a more rural industry, you’ve made me love it too. You’ve accomplished one of the hardest things IMO. Only thing is, I would maybe use some surface painter to make the sand patches less square. Just a friendly suggestion, great build as always!
These are always one of the highlights kind of like when you build a downtown! Can i suggest some sunset harbour garbage processing on the entrance to the mine on the long road keep up the great work!
We haven't checked out the mountain lookout in a while (or I didn't notice), makes me wonder what the skyline looks like from there and if you can see the mining from there, also Karen & Sharon and its surrounding interchanges
This was a fun build to watch OE, you really used the area to your advantage. Love the bridge spice going over that OE made rock deposit. The night view too, yes please! 🤙
you could build a little lake / river in the mine query. I live here in germany in the "Ruhrgebiet" a big old mining area. The old mines would be flooded if they wouldnt pump out the groundwater. So this river could be an artificial river, thats running down the mountains and is "cleaned" by one of this swimming things, starting at one of the underground mines. I think this would look great. Sorry if my english doesnt make much sense :D
We love and support a Big Rock Heavy episode!! 🗿🗻🗿🗻🗿🗻 extremely anticipated. i was waiting for this one!!! so happy to see it finally filled in and detailed!
27:30 hehehehehe ore-ientation hehehehehe EDIT: That gully full of rocks and stones is extremely spicy, but the small underground mine that's in the center at 53:22 really bugs me. Underground mines don't work that way! Try to imagine where the tunnel goes from there, especially considering there's another mine directly below and facing in the opposite direction. Maybe replace this one with an aboveground mine or an auxiliary building?
Name suggestion: OREganised Mines - play on organised crime with all the greedy industrialists scarring Orchid Bays natural beauty. Love how it all came together in the end! Cinematic are amazing! 🎉
If the original cave you placed survived, it could have been the first spot that ore - gold - was discovered and the reason that the area got developed
So, when you named the cougar "the mining lion" I seriously thought you called it a minging lion, and I thought that was a little harsh. Poor thing out there just trying to make a living. 🤣 But seriously gorgeous build yet again, you create the toppest of top tier industry builds.
The best way to quickly add jobs to your industry zone is to use the maintenance buildings and the worker barracks buildings. That’s like the only reason they exists honesty I thought. It’s kind of silly to have 9 million extractor buildings just to boost up the worker numbers and end up exporting 95% of your ore without even refining it at all, in my opinion
dont know if you can but it would be pretty cool to put a toll booth gate at the entrance (just after the car park) make it free to the industrial vehs of course but give it that look of a controlled/security entrance (could do the same for some of the other spots like the ports etc) again cant remember how much control on the tolls you have so could be a pain if you cant let the vehicles that need to access in free (could just pop it in an turn it off so its just aesthetics) (EDIT: just saw a toll added in the detailing as i wrote this comment haha)
I think you could put in a small quarry lake near the front. Like an original site that was used up.
Great idea!
great build as always Egg! just a small thing, you introduced the site entrance toll booth, but remember to also put it at the other entrance (from the highway). Love Orchid Bay!
Was going to say the same thing!
This industry looks quite complex and natural at the same time. Love it 😀
Hard to decide between your transport hubs or Ore builds which I enjoy more, you’ve made it blend so well.
I use the bucket excavators in the same way in C:S but irl they wouldn't be in mountains cutting out rocks they would be digging away soft topsoil in plains 😂
Needs a bigger railroad terminal to get all the ore out
Great build, adds a lot to that mountain range :) You could think about adding a small bus loop through the whole area as if the workers leave their cars at the bottom of the valley and then are being driven to their respective work site. Using the small minibuses it could look great I think!
Adding those different layers really makes a huge difference! Such a creative build. Best build guide!

Really cool to see a big industrial build like this towards the edges of the city! Adds a lot of character.
I always love the big factory fusing you do. Now without real fusing, but a more rural industry, you’ve made me love it too. You’ve accomplished one of the hardest things IMO.

Just a friendly suggestion, great build as always!
38:30 you need to upgrade that track outside the train cargo station to two way! Great video as always egg!
Nice build. Really enjoying the series. Also the music you put in your timelapses makes me bob my head.
So hard making ore industry look half decent, so not a bad effort here. Well done.
I always do this with forestry, works great as a filter between dirty industrial and residential homes.
Love this. Nobody does an ore build like OE

Industrial series might be my favourite, great as always ❤
Can add some mining towns in the valleys of the mountain, Small roural housing in the valleys.
I have see very nice and deep quarry sides in cities skyline but your open cast mine Lay-out takes to a hole new lvl well done 👏
The superpit is insane, when I went to go see it I was like cool, a big hole. But the size is just mind blowing!
OE, the oremining expert strkes again. What a great build upwards into the mountain!

Got to be up their with your best industrial build buddy!! I love how much space the whole thing has to breathe and settle in to the landscape!
This looks amazing 👏, definitely loving the music you add, adds something extra while watching. Lol great name for the lion 😂
Those red storage sheds are such a good asset!
cant wait for a zoo and a prison build
Looks so great! The terraforming can really do a lot in a Vanilla build, well any build really!
Egg I got a left and right Twix add when I was watching the VOD 😂 major Karen/Sharon vibezzzzzzzz
You never cease to amaze me.
We love and support a Big Rock Heavy episode!! 🗿🗻🗿🗻🗿🗻
extremely anticipated. i was waiting for this one!!! so happy to see it finally filled in and detailed!
I really think you should upgrade that junction into asphalt & maybe one ways.. 😊 Don’t forget to put in a toll booth on the mountain road 👌🏻😊
Looks very cool! Big and bulky is the way for ore. Great job🤩
27:30 hehehehehe ore-ientation hehehehehe

You've got me there EMB
realy great build. As i always mention, orchid bay is the best build ever from you
Great looking build. Thanks for the creative ideas.

Love how it all came together in the end! Cinematic are amazing! 🎉
Should drop a few comms towers on the peaks above the mining valley so the worker can get radio/cell reception
Great vid!
Hmm maybe I missed it but does this city have a oil industry?
Maybe some off shore oil industry would be cool?
Loved the build, very realistic imo.
Try to use the Ore industry barracks for better efficiency and the look nice
Another great build egg . Hope u enjoy the match tonight .
If the original cave you placed survived, it could have been the first spot that ore - gold - was discovered and the reason that the area got developed
looks good!
Maybe make that triangle junction 1 way in 1 way out because 1 part wasn't getting used i thought
It won't right now but that will eventually grow out so I think that whole section will eventually change to something a bit more substantial :)
So, when you named the cougar "the mining lion" I seriously thought you called it a minging lion, and I thought that was a little harsh. Poor thing out there just trying to make a living. 🤣 But seriously gorgeous build yet again, you create the toppest of top tier industry builds.
Looks great! Maybe upgrade the road from the main road to the toll booth to increase speed and capacity?
Great build, thank you
Wonderful job Egg!

You sir are an artiste. I hate how big and bulky oil and ore look in my cities. You finesse this to make it look natural and purposeful....
5am time for some skylines!
Bro same
another fun build episode. 👍👍
I feel like a train station would make a lot of sense

We really need a strange shaped harbour called 'Awkward Bay'.
Orchid and awkward bay sound the same

Miner the Lion is on patrol!
the mining lion claims his land
lol
Just wait for the Hunting grounds VS Mining lion war that’s been going for over a 100 year
Long Live the Mining Lion!
Maybe a police station near the toll kinda like a security bas?
Awesome...👍💯👍
You should use tunnels that you can see inside by using one of the mods.
Let's Gooooooooo🎉🎉🎉

Is a Zoo still missing in Orchid Bay 🤔 or missed I the Episode? 😄
Was in this weeks episode!
Ok, then I missed it😁. Still have to watch few episodes to be up to date.@@OVERCHARGEDEGG
Hi my name is Arthur Morgan ll i love working in the quarry i love you mayor egg.
🤘🏼
you need lorry parking /cafe
I ❤u
Being an ore/iron industry? Should’ve renamed the cougar to Lion Ore
I'm not sure it makes sense that the mine in the pit is underground, then why dig the surface away then?
First
Orchid bay is sexual
Greta Thumberg doesn't like this video ;-)
furst
watching in 2x speed so gonna finish first too
