Hello, I'm a liscensed officer of the Nuclear police, and I'd like to inform you that on site storage of waste is not uncommon. Often the waste is put inside huge concrete blocks that are stored in huge warehouse yards on the surface, but underground storage is also common. Nuclear waste is heavy and potentially dangerous to transport, so on-site containment is actually a good idea. You will be fined for not including any water inlets, though. Nuclear reactors use vast amounts of water, so it must come from somewhere. It's a good chance to include the horrendous water pump asset.
For an alternate name I daydreamed up the "Falkonium Research and Nuclear Development Facilties" also known as the "Falkonium Centre". Lore-wise my train of thought was that the site used to be a generic nuclear powerplant but upon discovery of a new element from an extra-terrestrial object (planet or meteorite sample?) the materials were brought down to earth and sent to various cities across the world to study it. The name given to it was Falkonium and the new research facilities were built up with studying it in mind. Perhaps researchers think that it could be a potential replacement for nuclear energy hence why they were adamant that it HAD to be located here... Great episode!
Would love to see a Bus line from Sharon to the plant! For the workers ^^ maybe just past the toll booth? Then a small mini bus as a worker transport around the plant too just so that they don't have to walk when on shift?
It would be really cool if you built a "old Orchid Bay" with like a Chernobyl esc style (abandoned flats, abandoned or old looking Power plant and maybe even the iconic rusty ferris wheel.) I truly think this build has evolved into one of my favourites. This and Biffa's "Blightea on the wold" have been the most fun to watch grow. Great stuff, Egg! 👍
I love the inclusion of all of the water sources and the clever use of industrial assets in this nuclear power plant build. It really looks like a typical real-life nuclear power station.
Another great build Egg. Thanks. The flooding is because the water flow backs up. It would help to deepen the river channel to allow more water through.
Really love the look of those canals and fresh water source around the nuclear facility, gives it some cool realism. The power lines ascetic was a really nice touch also. You should name animals around this area after the creatures in fallout, "radstag" "radwolf" great build as always OE. Sad to think these next videos will be the last vanilla CS1 builds you do 😢
Like the water inlets/outlets and taking care of the cooling water need for the nuclear power plants and the "transformator station". The mixing with the ore industry has worked before I think, so made a lot of sense and really works well again. Amazing build!
I love how fast you build the city and still keep the quality excelent. been following the series for like 20+ episodes by now. keep up the great work.
Great build again. The use of watchtowers & gravel paths next to the road gives my horrible flashbacks to the dmz between east and west Germany that I visited once in the early 1980ies.
In the US (and most of Europe) storage of nuclear waste actually takes place on the premise of the power plant because folks continually block the construction of underground long-term storage, as well as the transport of the waste away from the plant. Most of this is above ground as well. There are two ways it is kept. One is in cooling pools, the other is in barrels. Coolant water does become radioactive over time (this is not the turbine water that escapes as steam through the cooling towers). The heavy water has other scientific and industrial uses so is not released.
I love that maintenance building as a tranformer. Ever since you did that in Noob Yolk I've done the same in every city. A bit of Move It to position the first pylons within the building 👌
It’s as if Egg knows, once I get frustrated with my city for traffic problems, industrial problems, financial problems. He brings me right back in with the Build Guide 2
For your electrical lines area, you could build one of those fenced-in power stations that have a bunch of electrical lines and smaller boxes around them that seem to run underground. I think that makes sense
The Dome at the Nuclear plant reminds me a bit of the NSC Containment building at Chernobyl. Instead of a test reactor, it looks like there was a failure and it's now covered in concrete. "Would Have Liked To Have Run Tests On Seashells..."
Hi Egg, I m not a necluar plant police it's really a Nice build but I also believe Orchid bay need it's own Space research and launch Centre, a high tech complex and a military base I hope you you put at least one of those builds into consideration for Orchid bay
Is it Monday already 🤩 perhaps change the mines for the natural disasters bunkers or that seed vault monument great build can’t wait for those new towns
5:04 Nuclear power plants output water that is laced with tritium (hydrogen-3, a radioactive isotope of hydrogen) though they obey very strict regulations to limits its concentrations to something similar to the natural concentrations of tritium, so in practice the radioactivity emitted by nuclear power plant water in normal operation is negligible.
Name suggestion for the plant! Near where I live, in Kansas, there is a Nuclear plant called Wolf Creek, and the name Wolf Creek would work great with the Atom Wolf! I love your work egg, keep it up! Edit: I just made it further into the video, and now realize that a name was already chosen.
Deer and radiation, Train to Busan awaits. 😂😂😂 A prison might be suitable in this build as a penal labour and punishment to work in the nuclear plant 😅 Love those power lines, definitely makes the whole build more realistic. As always Egg, thank you for the wonderful video.
Hi Egg! Great build! I think a some water pumps would be realistic, for the nuke plants to suck up water. It might also help with the flooding. Also, the toll booth is going to force everyone to use cars because there is no ped path. Some busses might do well 🚍
apparently the only water that is outputted from power plants is the water that's used to cool the water in the closed loop that evaporates and spins a turbine, the stuff that goes next to the actual source of radiation is in a completely closed loop, like in a pc water cooler
In a previous nuke plant build I used the small emergency shelters to give appearance of underground storage. They're also functional then if necessary too.
As someone who lives near a nuclear power plant... nobody really lives by the plant as its pretty radioactive, like if you get a job working at the plant you are basically being paid and funding your cancer treatment as a lot of workers end up getting cancer so having it in your city is a little concerning but Idk ours is different from the 3 mile island.
Its good to do that with powerlines. Have multiple lines coming out and then separating ... especially if natural disasters is turned on. good build man.
completely unrelevant, but i hope in the future we get to see some buildings that use different terrain heights, like its built into a corner of 2 roads with different elevations, so it has entrances on multiple stories
Just as i was looking for some inspiration for my own nuclear power plant. Great video. Gave me some ideas. Mybe add a few bunkers for the odd nuclear melt down😅
Up stream happens all the time. Residential development can come after, but residents tend to resist ANY infrastructure project near them doesn't matter what it is. But the negative feelings about nuclear power has meant no new plant has been competed in decades in the west. No matter the distance to homes.
The boron buck spontaneously launched into the 4th dimension after the darpa research center with the orchard bay government accidentally stumbled upon time travel with nuclear fusion with atom splitting, boron, jerry and the alien wife, mixed it the the eco outlet waste. Maybe could put the new cs2 asset that levitates sim tourists nearby. City planner recently placed it in verde beach in the new casino district State law!
The music volume during the timelapse doesn't match the normal talking volume btw, you have to turn it down which is annoying for people that watch these videos to relax or go to sleep.

A detailed truck stop would be great around the industry area or cargo port!!!
Those powerlines look nice!
The maintenance building looks like an electrical substation, especially with the 4 powerlines!

Great episode!
I am in love with how distracted Egg gets with the wildlife 😂 Always enjoy seeing the killer deer of Orchid Bay!
I hope wildlife plays a larger role in CS2. Trees growing, more animals, etc
I'm very excited for that town build. A place not built for cars sounds awesome. Also love the Mass Effect music you had in there. Great build!
2:25 I just finished Mass Effect LE third time... You gave me goosebumps... I want to start it over again omg. You are killing me :D 🥰
Do it!
Another 100 hours on an emotional rollercoaster? Well it sounds good, and probably there are things that I still missed@@OVERCHARGEDEGG
You should put a really odd tree around. It has been mutated by the nuclear plant
Welcome to the Late-Game Power Stations for a while era lol! Loving it!!

Taken me a while, but I have fully binged this series and now I’m fully caught up!
i think a water treatment facility would have looked good

Definitely some unexpected pairings of assets but cannot complain!
Super build Egg. Nice integration of the ore industry buildings. Aesthetically pleasing!

@5:19 there is a dear outrunning a tidal wave
fun fact the current real world nuclear waste storage facility is built next to a nuclear power plant
Nice! Cheers james!
@@OVERCHARGEDEGG the facility is known as onkalo spent nuclear fuel repository its in finland
it was built their becuase there was already a powerplant to reduce the controversy as well as being near a port

this looks so freakin kool i cant stand it. the way the river flows around all of it too. just excellent a perfect addition to the build
Told you it'd be a good one! ☺️ Really nice utility build Egg!

Make no mistake. Boron Buck is still there. Absorbing all of that radiation has giving him the superhero invisibility power.
Hello everyone hope u have a good day

Would it be possible to prevent the flooding by lowering the riverbed a bit? giving the water more space to stay inside the river?
adding water pumps around it might help as well, and could fit the aesthetic

Great build. Although I feel where the mines are you could of used the natural disaster underground shelters/ bunkers as a better vibe. ❤

This ended up looking great! Good job!
Thank you!! 😊
That sounded like old school mass effect music 😍 😳 right when you shaved back the ground at the start of the video
came for the city build, stayed for the wildlife lore haha
Great build Eggenheimer
Its good to do that with powerlines. Have multiple lines coming out and then separating ... especially if natural disasters is turned on.
good build man.
Amazing as always I saw you put in water outlets but I'm sure nuclear facilities are water cooled would have been nice to see a water pump as well
BTW only the primary (water) circuit comes into contact with the radioactive material - and that circuit is closed one...
Always a pleasure to watch your builds! I am excited to see what you do with CS2

Jo Egg , which DLC does the water pump you use in this super fun video belong to?

@@OVERCHARGEDEGG thx pls keep making video
Cool build oe
another beautiful build man. cheers from the philippines
I hate to point this out, but isn't rule 1 of building a nuclear power to not build it right next to a residential area and upstream a major city 😅

Nicely done OE! I missed this one. Keep up the great work 😎👍
*Me over here dying from the unrealism, and no terminology*
I think 2:38 is the moment that caused the nuclear plant land to flood. Edit: Thinking about it further, I think it is just weird CS1 behavior.

In Belgium the nuclear storage is in a 5 mile radius from the reactors
looks very cool
Great powerplant build
❤
Mass effect music 😁
Use airport fence instead of oil industry it'll look a lot better
hows the node limit doing? amazing build :)
how about a music hall area? Like to bring a little more entertainment
may we have a moment of silence for the atom wolf 😔
Another banger as always.
Appreciate that!
I bet oe can hit 100k subs before 2024
Perfect cities
Great stuff mate

For some reason I thought you trolled us. By actually playing skyrim. haha
never been early before
really epic vid
your content is so eggilicious
