I'm from BC and the train definitely gives BC vibes! There are tons of old trestles around here. (Look up Kinsol Trestle, it's massive!) Unfortunately they're not used for trains here on Vancouver Island anymore.
Watching you detail little corners of a builds is one of my favorite parts of your videos. Its a shame we dont see as much detailing (really any) in CS2. It makes me happy to hear you plan on continuing your CS1 builds as it'll give the fix that this detailing junkie needs.
LOVED this! This looks exactly like the Napa Valley and Sonoma Country -without the wineries, but it is so similar with the trees, and that itallianate Victorian mansion in the middle of the ranch...also the train trestle is spot on for the Western US-so yes, the wholw vibe is very much Pacific NW, you nailed it. I really enjoy all your episodes.
the lines and little groupings of trees skirting property lines is so accurate in the country!! we have those truss bridges here in VT too! this build could be mistaken for hinesburg or jericho Vermont very easily! 😁
Im always inspired after watching your builds , love the log cabin idea for the live stream maybe you could use the new hotel assets and the huntibg cabins from the nature reserve assets , you definitely need somewhere to fish on that river aswell though , what a vacation that would be 😂😂😂
Putting down seaside resort assests to make a farm house is an amazing idea, idk how i didnt look at the assests that way before. Definetly going use it in my next farm build!
Making the train line a little lower then everything else looks so good, it adds another layer to the look. The wheat fields almost looks like one giant field.
It does have a PNW vibe. We've got lots of rivers and streams, so there's a lot of bridges. One thing I've never seen here is a windmill as we're powered almost exclusively by hydroelectric.
I think a football pitch would make sense in this type of community. It could serve as a place where local farmers can meet up after work and play some football
So pretty. Love this little town. Appreciate the aesthetics. I think an elementary school would be worth adding but the high schoolers could train to Sharon.
Very cool AFB! I love rural communities because I live in one. Valley in the mountains. You get such a variety of things here. True transplant community. Great job!😍
To think today is the day i catch up on orchid bay, what a lovely surpirse! Love the vibe of the rural suburb and farm. Never watched walking dead but that mini hotel in the back is a nice touch. Also really like those squares with the tree line around them and open space in the middle. Reminds me a lot of the farms down in south jersey near me. Awesome build as always OE!
Some towns in rural USA have minimum lot-sizes that are around 2 or 3 acres per home. It keeps everyone spaced apart and density low. Homes are usually about 400-500 feet apart, or more.
Nicely done OE! One thing though. I grew up in the mid-west US and most farmers and their kids don't play much tennis in farm country. Might want to replace the tennis courts with basketball courts. And American football or baseball. Need some schools too.
2:45 you just know you're going to have absolutely zero cellphone coverage out there, and someone in your carriage will still insist on having long phone calls during the train ride. "yeah, and then I - hello? Hello? You still there?" etc. 🙄
Nice shout out to Wyoming!! 😂 my US family is from Lovell and Cowley, Wyoming and they are very rural. You should look them up sometime for inspiration if you ever build western American rural towns. Beautiful areas very close to Yellowstone.
I'm playing catch up after a hectic few weeks with work, so apologies for the late comment. Love the build! On a side-note, while I know this is a pure vanilla game, you know there's actually a version of Herschel's barn on the workshop? I think there's a few other TWD assets on there as well.

I will do that! Thank you for the suggestion! :D

Cheers mate, glad to hear that 😊
I really like the farm blends in with the new town, it's extraordinary and I love it!!
Thanks Isaiah!

I've already done this exact idea for next episode! Hope you enjoy it on Wednesday 😊

Glad you thought so! Nice little trick with them!
Egg just casually decides to melt our faces off with absolute bangers during the time lapse.
Making the train line a little lower then everything else looks so good, it adds another layer to the look. The wheat fields almost looks like one giant field.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it😊
I always appreciate a quaint, rural build. Well, quaint if you don't consider the walkers in Herschel's barn.
😂😂 let's just hope sara ain't in there!

17:17 So close so having the sealed/paved roads heading toward each other forming the town centres triangle.
I love the rural farm vibes with this build. It creates a nice edge to the city.
Thanks Bricks 😊

Great idea!

Beautiful build, yes please! With the bonus during the detailing time-lapse of suddenly noticing your feet tapping to the music. 😀
Haha glad you like the tracks!
I love the little rural towns before the big city
Lovely build Egg. Like the future idea of the campsite along the river and in the trees - look forward to that stream!
Think we're doing it next episode instead!😊
Loved the rogue blue van at 18:23

Great idea! 😊
Me knowing that the day egg is uploading this there will be only 1 more orchid bay episode
Very cool AFB! I love rural communities because I live in one. Valley in the mountains. You get such a variety of things here. True transplant community. Great job!😍
Awesome! Thank you!
Soo excited for CS2, Hope it lives up to the hype! I hope it is as entertaining to play as CS1. Love your videos.

I’m riding through the city running errands today and every time I see a crane it makes me think of you and cs2 😂
Lmao 🏗️
10:38 Wyoming Oregon? had to laugh at that one a bit since they're about 400 miles (643km) apart

Now this is awesome! Hopefully CS2 looks as good as this in a few years!
I hope so too!

Love rural builds! Having an entire road for two community allotments is a bit odd but pop off 😂
Most exclusive allotment ever!
I feel your pain with the "Extremely warm in the UK at the moment" hahaha
2:45 you just know you're going to have absolutely zero cellphone coverage out there, and someone in your carriage will still insist on having long phone calls during the train ride. "yeah, and then I - hello? Hello? You still there?" etc. 🙄
A football field, High school and a Bar would be some nice additions to the community, need somewhere to line dance.
Lol can do!
The "Medium Wealth Senior Exchange Student" at 9:45ish raises so many questions and I need answers.
Great video perfect before school and also i am so proud of oe for reaching 85k subscribers what a journey it has been :)
Thank you so much!! And thanks for being part of that journey! ❤
Hey egg.... Good to see you again.... Missed orchid bay.... Great build❤❤
Orchid Bay has missed you too! Thanks for watching 😊
Nice shout out to Wyoming!! 😂 my US family is from Lovell and Cowley, Wyoming and they are very rural. You should look them up sometime for inspiration if you ever build western American rural towns. Beautiful areas very close to Yellowstone.
Whoo! R Bay F! A part of Antnee in an Egg build at last 😂
Stunning, again. I wonder if a small primary school would be appreciated, so the young children wouldn't have to be bussed so far?
100%! We'll get one in here!
Name suggestion for the Rural community. "Beggkersfield"
always love your content ❤️ hope we'll get a palaven 2.0 series for cs:2 😅 love from pakistan 🇵🇰
fishing pier down by the river. and small rec area for the locals

Albert White needs renaming as Benjamin Button 😂
It's time for 81 tiles :^)
Needs a water tower!
I don't know, but I just like CS1 better, haha, or IDK, maybe CS2 will grow on me.
Now, that's a village!😂
Another great build!!
Thank you 🤗
Could Hydro electric work if you open 81 tiles for a smaller neighboring city?
Good evening OE from Allenstown, NH. Northeast, USA
Hello there!
Trainline is approved by the Gradiant Police!
Awesome as always Mr egg.Really hope CS 2 isn't a flop got mixed feelings about it already
same
Game isn't even out yet
Compared to the 8 years of cities skylines
Lmao you are looking for the term “common area” not community center. We all understand what you meant tho, no worries egg! 😂
Haha yes I was! Thank you!
You should open the 81 tiles
It should be "baked-platateau"
This looks better than CS2.
every single one of the resident living near the farm are going to get cancer 🤣
If there's a Sharon and a Karen shouldn't there be a Darren?
Need more Baked Potatos.
