The upgrade is very minor: At the comparison still at 04:29, you will see there is more grass on the ground with better textures on the remastered as well as better LOD to render many trees faraway on the background. At the comparison at 8:13, you can see the tree in the remastered doesn't have the render issue as the ps4 version. At 8:42, you can see the shadow casting to Joel is flickering on the ps4 but very smooth on the remastered one. Also on the remastered version, if your TV support 120hz, you can actually run it over 60fps on performance mode and 40fps on 4K (not using any upscaling technique).

Better fps was already patched in for over two years. The texture and resolution are so close together that you can’t tell a difference. It’s a stretch to say the game needed anything other than 60fps.

What did you say about TLOU P1 remake? :D This is the case when naming is absurdly stupid. It's Definitive Edition but not remaster at any point. Few minor visual tweaks here and there with almost ZERO difference. New resolution modes and additional content are not about re-mastering.
I dont know why, but no one show Seraphits levels like garage and shop, on PS4 version there is no shadows, they just turned off, including occlusion and indirect shadows, so im interest - in remaster they (Naughty Dog) turn ON shadows in garage and shop?? Also in first meet with Seraphits, if you hide in grass - grass dont cast shadows on Ellie and Ellie like candle.
the HDR in this "remaster" is a disaster, way too dark and if you try to fix it ingame with brightness levels, the image looks washed out! WTF ND? the HDR in the PS4 version was almost perfect ...

I just got this and there is a slight difference in graphics and gameplay.. character models and environments have been improved and the facial animations are impressive as well
I guess you need to understand basic photography, which not everyone does, to appreciate how much better the game looks. Things being realistically shiny and not unnecessarily contrasted makes a huge difference to how much detail you can see up close. The video having Ellie and Dina going through a field is poor representation of the differences you’d be able to see with a TV with HDR. To me, the experience like playing the game for the first time. The photos used to showcase this video are misleading, and incorrect. Ellie’s swim scene looks better in the remaster.

You can't remaster an already perfect visually game. I'm seeing very minor differences. Some bushes being added in the background, they enhanced the reflections on the water and puddles, they fixed some framerate issues which is very rare in this game and that's it. It's straight cash grab for me. I own the original for 7$ on sale and playing it on PS5 which it got patched for PS5 btw and for the gameplay and visuals only. The story is one of the biggest piece of dog sh*t.

Yeah I just started playing it but it really just looks like a great looking PS4 game, that being said, it does now have full dual sense support, so that's impressive. I shouldn't have replayed it on my PS4 pro to get the platinum trophy...I guess I can do it all again 🤦

Also vrr mode and unlocking fps go's much higher than 60 reaches over 100fps if I'm not wrong it go's really high.
