You know what's tiring? repeating false narratives. Lamar Jackson didn't flame out in the 2019 playoffs Greg Roman *failed to change his call-signs* from a game that they played against the Chargers two weeks prior!
& you should _know this because _*_the Chargers TOLD EVERYONE THAT THEY KNEW_* what plays were coming as they were called because of it.
Greg Roman threw the damned game intentionally or not & Lamar _still_ managed to score 17 points against a defense that knew every play in advance. I don't know if that's MVP-calibre play or not, but it sure af isn't "flaming out." His own OC sabotaged the game. The Chargers *told everyone this* at the time. Here you are still blaming Lamar.

2011 Eli Manning is severely underrated. There's a common belief that Eli was carried by his defense and while that's somewhat debatable for 2007 (15th ranked offense, 17th ranked defense) it's absolutely not up for debate in 2011. By almost every metric the 2011 Giants were a worse team than the 2007 team.
In 2011 the New York Giants had the 9th ranked offense while having the 32nd ranked rushing offense. They were a top ten offense with the worst run game in the league. Eli Manning led the 5th overall passing offense in the league. Their defense was the 25th ranked in the league - right in the bottom quarter. There were three great pass rushers in Osi Umenyiora, Justin Tuck, and JPP, followed by eight guys when wouldn't be a starter in half of the league. Our defense was so stripped for talent that halfway through the season the team signed Chase Blackburn, a career backup linebacker and special teamer for the Giants who retired the year prior and was a teacher when the season began. He wasn't signed to be a backup either like he had always been, he was signed to be a starter. I like the guy but that's scraping the bottom of the barrel and really tells you how this defense was doing.
The run game was so bad the offense could never burn clock effectively and the defense couldn't stop a nosebleed. This led Eli Manning to lead the league in 4th quarter comebacks - six. Six comebacks that *stuck* that is, as multiple times the defense failed to hold out after an Eli go-ahead TD with less than two minutes left. Without Eli this team would've had about four wins but they won the Super Bowl.
I'd be remiss to not mention that the 2011 NFC Championship game is Eli's signature game. He played with the flu and got an absolute beating. It was a hell of a rough time for him even by the standards of the 1980s' NFL. 6 sacks, 12 QB hits (usually by two or three players), and still went 32/58 for 300+ yards, 2 TDs, and no turnovers against the best defense in the league that season in the mud. He was a smooth operator that night.

I would have picked Jalen Hurts over McNabb because Hurts arguably played the best that a Super Bowl losing QB has ever played, while McNabb had 3 INTs. In my opinion their regular season stats are similar enough where the Super Bowl numbers become the deciding factor. Hurts had more total touchdowns and fewer interceptions, but McNabb had a greater YPA, so it’s really splitting hairs in the regular season. Plus, you could argue that the additions of Terrell Owens and AJ Brown had remarkably similar impacts on their respective QBs, meaning that they both had similar supporting casts on offense.

Forget about the Greatest Show on Turf, Kurt Warner made the Hall of Fame just because he took the fucking Arizona Cardinals to the Super Bowl. Truly an act of God working through a mortal man.

I remember I told family out in Vegas to put money on the Cardinals that season. They thought I was crazy but they did it. Odds were amazing. Then they lost (or "lost") the ticket. I was so mad.

Nah even as a chiefs fan it’s hard to argue just how ridiculous that chiefs offense was in 2018. Literally nobody could stop them. The pats tried to and held them scoreless for two quarters but then they went unleashed. Andy hates running up the score so we’ll never see that output from mahomes ever again unless the defense is 32nd ranked again

The reason the 2020 Buccaneers season was forgettable for so many of us is because they kind of had the easy way out; *none* of their postseason victories were all that impressive. Washington barely made the playoffs with a 7-win record, Drew Brees was declining in performance with retirement fresh on his mind, Aaron Rodgers is a master choke artist *especially* in the conference championships, and the Chiefs were down to only 2 healthy o-linemen in the super bowl which is why they lost so badly. Not exactly a run that'll be talked about 10 years from now if you ask me…
