The fact that the Chargers’ worst season in 2000 and best season in 2006 were only separated by 6 years shows just how much LaDainian Tomlinson breathed life into that franchise. Truly the best runningback since the 2000’s.

As a 49ers fan 2004 was incredibly bad, but I do think that the 1978 season was probably the worst in franchise history due to all of the chaos that was going on behind closed doors with GM Joe Thomas as the maestro. Even though the very next season under fist year head coach Bill Walsh was the same 2-14 record, the experience was miles better from all accounts. As for the best 49ers season I go back and forth between 1984 and 1989. Both were all-time NFL masterstrokes. Anyway, can't wait to see what you choose to spotlight next. Cheers NFL Throwback!!!

I honestly think 2016 Brady was the most dangerous he's ever been. He more to prove than he did since he was a young player, only in 2016 he had a far better skill set and experience. He was incredible in his 12 regular season games and found a way to win in the playoffs even if he didn't have the best games overall. I mean, the Pats D deserves insane credit for shutting out the explosive offense of the Falcons in the last 20 minutes of the game, but that entire team played with incredible poise, led by a Brady who was unphased by the score and played almost perfectly beside a few throws, most notably the one Edelman caught that should've been picked off by Alford. I don't think 2004 Brady would be able to compete physically or mentally at near the level of 2016 Brady, and with the supporting casts pretty equal, having an above average supporting offense and a top 10 defense, I can't see 04 Brady beating out his older self.

True, but the Ravens have a couple of advantages that helped them. One is that they haven't been around long enough to eventually go through a "dark age" like most of these other teams. The other one is that they had the benefit of not having to start their roster over from scratch in their inaugural season. They just relocated the Browns and already had a team of professionals put together. Still impressive though that your "worst season" was 5-11.

If I recall, the Steelers have only had a handful of double-digit loss seasons since that infamous 1969 campaign: 1970, 1985, 1986, 1988, 1999, and 2003.

I don't get it to me if the season don't end in a winning a championship it can't be all that great how y'all going to pick a Cleveland Browns season that ended in John Elway getting his shine on but not Jim Brown in 1964 getting his shine on, hell, they got four chips to choose from. Yeah I know that was before they called it the Super Bowl so what they won a championship. None of this applies to the teams that have never won a championship.

might be worth mentioning that that 1990 patriots team only scored 4 rushing TDs, and had 29 scored on them, which may or may not still be the worst ratio of all time. thanks for the vid

I know the Giants best record was in 86, but come on. Beating the undefeated Patriots is better than a good record could ever be.

Giants caught lightning in a bottle in the 2007 playoffs. Needed to win their last regular season game just to make the playoffs. It seemed like the '86 Giants were destined to win it all at midseason.

I definitely concur that the 2004 Pats were the best of the 6 championship teams. Dillon pretty much ensured that if the Pats had the ball in the 4th quarter with any sort of lead, they were going to win. The ball control that team practiced helped the defense out so much. That is what they were missing during Brady’s most prolific years. They had good defenses in at least some of those years, but they used to score so fast, and the defense had nothing left by the end of the game.

This video reminds me of when I used to go to a sports bar every week, I think it was 1991? ( The pre Tom Brady/Bellichick) Patriots. There was this crazed Patriots fan who would get all decked out in his Jersey every week, and every week the Patriots would find creative ways to lose. It was near the end of the season if I remember, Patriots were about to finally win a game and the guy started hollering and talking smack around the bar. They fumbled on the 1 yard line and the guy went nuts and threw a chair in the bar. The owner banned him for a few weeks after that. 😄😄😄
