I LOVE your approach towards making as much of this rig general purpose as possible! When it comes to h harness rigs or any sort of belt setup this is the way. There's another solution to get up to six mags without having to resort to a shingle. Replace those double mag pouches with tactical tailor universal mag pouches. The TT UMP holds three 556 mags. And along the lines of being general purpose, they can also hold up to two 762 mags or AK mags. They also have shock cord on them and can be cinched down to hold as few as one of any of those mag types, and are perfect size for an IFAK, a water bottle, a smoke, or whatever. In short, they very much stick to the principle of general purpose. Thanks for another great video on gear.
I got one from eBay a little while ago. I was able to put three double mag spear mag pouches, radio pouch, 100 round pouch, vertical IFAK and two spear 1 qt. Canteens. Gonna sew a set of female buckles on the harness and a set of male buckles on an original butt pack to solve the sag. The rig is great!
I was given one of these from a buddy of mine who was issued it. I’ve just had it sitting around but want to build it out now. Pretty legit recce type rig.
After seeing these sold out I found L4Performance makes an adaptive system with individual panels you can attach via buckles and/or first spear tubes. They also have a buttpack with side access that although they're marketing as a CBRN gear bag, it looks like a camping drybag mounted to the panel. Would be very interested in seeing a mockup of that to imitate the TAP, or potentially doing myself. Sorry that it's not surplus though to really fit the channel
I owned and subsequently sold the SFLCS. No, this is not less capable by any means. It's far more comfortable, far easier to adjust, with better closure in the front due to the tubes. It's objectively a better harness.
These were issued out to at least the 1st and 2nd BDE of the 10th MTN, probably just because we’re part of XVIII ABN Corps but maybe that’s an indication of it going out more to non airborne units?
Lucas, I got both the A-TAP and the Eagle H-Harness from you guys back in November and December really like both of the harnesses but I have been looking for a butt pack or small pack that be put on the shoulder and belt part of the harnesses but I have not been very successful and I was wondering if you had any suggestions. I have the Eagle H-Harness setup as SHTF type of Rig with everything I need except a small pack and the A-Tap is going to be more of a Quick Response Vehicle mounted type of rig so the pack for that one should be no bigger than a Vietnam era type butt pack.
Good, the "Vest Quick Release Buckle Slider " deployed within "Airborne TAP" compared with the "YKK military grade zippers of "USGI ACU Fighting Load Carrier Vest". Sure "Vest Quick Release Buckle Slider" has better life spam and endurance than the YKK zippers.
Nice setup. Can the back panel be removed if you are not that wide? 44mins and they are already sold out. What was the price point it was going for? Nate
I saw the email 42 min after it went out. They were already gone. I’m not happy. I will now have to check my email every 5 min just in case you find one in the back corner.

They make repair first spear tubes now with split slots.
Good to know!

So this is essentially a stripped down SFLCS H-Harness, with less load-bearing capability.
Still a cool piece of kit

I think you can say it is a scale down H-Harness, less loading capacity but you can also wear a war-belt with this to compensate.
Have you ever done a review of the USAF H Harness for the security forces?

We'll see, makes a lot of sense for mountain guys to get them. Falling under that corps may have been a big part of it though.
It Looks great, Thank you

I'd try a smaller Eagle Industries Horizontal utility pouch or something like an ATS large GP pouch for more capacity.
Which top and bottoms are you wearing? I see some features that I want to look closer at. Thanks
I see that FIST patch in the background.

What's the advantage of that fancy buckle over a zipper from the previous FLC?
Rotates better, one handed open/close, beefiness.

Nate
You'd have to rig the straps a little differently, but you probably could.
Saw they were ~$120 or so. Bought mine off eBay for $80
Thanks@@TheClandestineCamper
Are there any major difference between this and the Eagle Industries H Harness other than the fast tube on the front?
looks functionally the same
Overall, this can be looked at a modernized version. It takes some bits from the old FLC and some from the older H Harness.

We're looking for more! I'll give a little bit better heads up next time on emails so people can keep an eye out.
@@VentureSurplus I was so unhappy I bought an Eagle Industries h harness and 6 pouches….gear therapy
@allenwilson8913 I have one NIB I’d be willing to trade for your eagle rig
Literally same shit happened to me 45 minutes after and they were sold out
I want this
2-2 SBCT is issuing them
Oh, that's fancy
What’s all that background noise? Your espresso machine?!
It says in the lower right corner around 1:30 that it was roadwork out front
Can it be worn with body armor?
Yes, but for best use it would need to be a low profile or at least trim/slick type carrier.
It’s “Advanced Tactical Assault Panel” . And it is becoming standard issue across the Army.
all sold out! but great vid
Great looking kit...to bad its made of unobtainium!
Looks like Simon Cowells webbing lol.
Andrew Tate if he was a gun guy instead of a course and pimp
sold out.....
