- Many times, when one wants to study abroad, the best option is scholarship cos of the cost involved.
But many people's dreams of studying abroad were shattered because no scholarship came through for them. Truth is, there are much more scholarship applicants than available scholarship opportunities.
When that is the case, self-funding become the only way. It can be discouraging, but I believe that sharing my story can encourage someone...
In this video, I shared my story of coming for my Masters programme in the UK based on self-funding. I equally shared all the necessary tips to assist you.

I had a question. I got scholarship of 5000 pounds. I can only avail it if I am fully self funded. So does getting a student/education loan count as self funding?
i wish my dad is still alive, he could have been my fall back because of his love for education, as it he always wanted me to study abroad thou the money is not der but if i have shown interest then he could have done something now i have the interest I'm on a cross road, nobody to run to or help and i am frustrated as is it now

This is the sad reality of this quest of studying abroad. How about people that their fathers do not have any property to sell? I am in this crossroad and I have been doing a lot of thinking and calculation. I have fund for the initial deposit, visa processing fee, health insurance etc but after all is settled, I will have less than 500k left to battle with. How can I pay the rest of my fees as a student with 20hrs per week work? You have to pay rent, taxes and bills and at thesame time, not allowing your studies to suffer.
I totally understand. It depends on your tuition fee. From what you said, I'll advise you look for low tuition fee university. You can pay up your tuition fee when you come over (depending on the amount)

I highly recommend UKEAS. They have branches in many countries and in Nigeria for instance, they have branches in many states. Their services are free and if any of their agents asks for money (I hear they do now), they just want to make gains from you, you can report them cos their services are FREE

Thanks for this favour, my dad is sponsoring me too January 2022.you and I had similar issues concerning raising fund.😊But he has deposited the money in my account. Please do I need to get letter from him to proof he is the person sponsoring me since d money is in my account already.

Social Work is in the shortage occupational list of the UK and social workers are I high demand.

Favour, from your experience as a student social worker, do u think a guy is fit to do the profession?
Of course. I have males in my class and the social worker role can be done by any gender. Just that as some other professions, it is predominantly females.

When u plan to pay fees by yourself or with support of family and friends .If a company, government organization is sponsoring you you are not a self funding students
