The bed is aluminum so there won't be any rust concerns. If anything, the liners protect the aluminum bed from corrosion by preventing rocks from chipping the protective paint. The appearance of the truck is way nicer with the liners installed for sure.

I just got a 2021 F-350 STX 7.3 Godzilla! At 700 miles I haven’t found anything yet I don’t like 👍. Heck even with a 7.3 Big block , 4.30 gears it gets better gas mileage with the 10 speed transmission than my ole 2018 Ram 2500 6.4 6 speed transmission.
There was a decrease in wind noise at highway speeds and the truck was much easier to clean. The liner can protect the painted underside of the bed from rocks and other debri slung by the rear tyres.

Thanks! I did install mud flaps later and had to drill thru the wheel well liner

This isn't unique to Ford. Many trucks have the rear liners omitted in lower trim levels to cut costs.
