    A few weeks ago I had to satisfy some curiosity and walk this. You make it look easy... there were some humongous steep drops there. I won't ever ride this. To gauge this, I can sometimes clear Ridgeline and Deliverance, and I'm very comfortable on advanced trails. Ka pai 🤙

    Wow. I did a track walk this week and have a renewed appreciation for those who can bike it. Very impressed, especially with 3:20 now that I've seen how steep it is in real life. Nice work.

    • @TrailAtlas
      @TrailAtlas  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thanks Corwin. That chute at 3:20 is pretty scary! I think there's a better line that's formed now that goes high right, then cuts in before you get too close to the rock wall.

      I walked it today then watched this ride again. Hard pass for me, impressive skills to get down that.

    Loving that trail, I need a trio to Wellington.... maybe in the summer.

      The best part about riding in Welly is that most of the tracks ride just as well in the wet, especially at Makara Peak.

    Nice ridng, so keen to go back when things dry out a bit, need to link it all together.

      Yeah, it's a pretty scary corner. The hardest part is that there are no particularly good lines.

    Hit Down Pipe at Wrights Hill. Walked down it a few weeks ago. Probably best with the track a little tiny bit moist but not too wet. The last section is steep as bro! So you can bail out onto evil which joins into the end of Mr X.

    • @TrailAtlas
      @TrailAtlas  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    great vids Yeah Gnar Yeah no not yet ,or ever me skiils a bit light, only gripe but some may like it the way the vids are, wouldn't mind a bit of talking through the video, what ya just hit go left or right ect , sort advice , running commentary sometimes, all good though, how much of a step up from say Vertigo was that track ?

    • @TrailAtlas
      @TrailAtlas  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Cheers for the suggestions, Daniel! I could try doing some voice-over commentary. I think I'm concentrating too much on tracks like this to manage commentary, It'd probably just be swearing haha. It's a huge step up from Vertigo, you should be super comfortable riding Trickle Falls before attempting Yeah Gnar.

    Great vid! Awesome work. Rode Morepork today- for reference how much harder is this?

    • @TrailAtlas
      @TrailAtlas  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'd say Yeah Gnar has more challenging features and is more committing. Morepork has those two big chutes which are pretty gnarly, but besides that it's fairly chill. If you've ridden Pavlova without too much problem you should be fine on Yeah Gnar.

    • @pintsizer
      @pintsizer 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TrailAtlas thanks mate! In agreement about Morepork. Pavlova a lot of fun; once you’ve got some lines sorted.

    Did you find this harder or easier than Kataore (King of Roots) in Rotorua?

    • @TrailAtlas
      @TrailAtlas  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's a tough question, They're very different trails. I think Yeah Gnar is a higher consequence trail and more committing, and probably has a larger number of difficult features. But I sessioned this first with some friends to scope out all the lines, whereas with Kataore I rode it blind, trying to keep up with some very talented riders, that's probably why it didn't go too well haha. Long story short I think Yeah Gnar is more difficult.
