@@LongLiveEnduro it's worth it for the view once you get up there. Awesome views man. There used to be some mad tracks up there but they cleared a lot of the forest for timber. There was a track called the Danzig. That was sick. All gone now though. You can reach porirua through the hills up there in to the back of cannons creek

Hi Leo, I did not do all tracks at Makara, also not 100% sure about the numbered trail ratings. I assume Grade 5 is single black for this writing. I would start with Ridgeline (th-cam.com/video/Dxws-bVG0xc/w-d-xo.html#action=share), if you are good with that, then do Vertigo and then Trickle Falls (th-cam.com/video/UW6NC1RtsJI/w-d-xo.html#action=share) and if you are still good you can try to have a look at Yeah Gnar. You can always walk it if you are uncomfortable. Let me know how it goes Leo, all the best and happy riding. Will be back in Wellington in January and end of February/beginning of March.
Hey man, I'm a local at Makara, If you still need help, most of what @Chris Longliveenduro said was good, but adding in I would do Leaping lizard (Hard Grade 4) and then Ridgeline, Vertigo, Expert Live wires (Go left part way down where the tracks split), Deliverance which is on wrights hill, access through the trail salvation near the carpark, The I'd do Trickle. If you have any mates you could follow that helps so much.

that is properly steep. nice. constructive criticism: (i know this video is old and maybe your setting are different now) try lowering the exposure a bit. sometimes there are rocks that are totally white or look like they are glowing
Horrible corner mate. Hard to tell from the Gopro. I have heard that someone smoothed it out without the builders permission though. If you enjoy that. Look at my videos from Morepork and Pavlova in Welly. My favourite trails now in Welly.
