Really coming together! Sammy's 67 is the inspiration for the 67 longbed I am building now. I saw it for sale a few years ago and Shaughn Reid said I shouldn't pass it up. I never stopped thinking about his old Nascar shop truck. I miss that cool bastard. At least Calin is making his dad proud.
There are certain cars that I take an instant like for. It can be any type sports, classic, muscle, euro, import fast and slow. This truck has joined that list...great job lucky.
Hey lucky that awesome that you kept the Rims and tires for 15 inch ! It just needs a fresh coat of red oxide primer and get it weathered! Killer truck!
That looks good Lucky,I like the old school sizes. I ran 295/50-15 on 10's and 245/60-15 on 8's 25 years ago in 1993 on my '70 ......Still have the truck and wheels.Lol!
My '70 is the same way. The cross member attaches with a dozen bolts. It might be possible to redrill the mounting holes, but to keep the geometry of everything else right, you'd also need to move the steering box, idler mount, sway-bar mounts, and so on forward my the same amount. Still, it could be kind of sweet to take it a little *too far* forward, as that is a pretty cool look. An inch ahead of center might do it.
certain tubular control arms and spindles will solve this issue. If you want to go further, an aftermarket crossmember will do the trick, although quite pricy
And you can always drill and tap the very outside edge of the rims and screw moon discs on it for more of a Bonneville racer look. Truck is looking sweet!
Were you able to run the QA1 lower control arms up front with those wheels? My 15in aluminum centerline wheels are too small, and the wheel weights would get cleaned off by the LCA ball joint casing/tube.
i went to school with sams son, and worked with roland later, sorry about sam passing away a few yrs ago. they always had the 2wd blazers were the 1st and only i would see for yrs when i was growing up in redondo
Hi Lucky love your videos . I have a question for you i hope you could answer. I'm building a 69C10 and bought the QA1 suspension after watching your video. I'd like to buy the rims and tires you had on the truck in this video. Will those rims and tires fit underneath my truck with the stock wheel wells . I see you have the widened ones .
I just started painting the wheels for my '72 C20, gotta find some new rubber for them and start getting them swapped over...I went with the 2006 and up Chevy 8 lug 5 hole stock wheels, and they look great in white to match the body of the truck...up next I've gotta lower it...
Lucky, i love the basset wheels. I have a set of aero race wheels on my ranger with white letter kelly's and it made it not look like complete shit box. Something about wide stock car wheels makes anything look like its ready to kick ass. This thing needs hoosiers my friend!
Do you plan on paint or are you going the patina route. Cause I think it would look great in satin black with pin stripping. I usually don't like satin/matte but with those rims and the style of the truck... Yeah, it'll work.
Wondering what size tires are on the front. From my grandfather to my father he said don't ever lower this truck or it will ruin it being a truck. So that being said lowing is not a option for me as I'd like to keep it close to what my grandfather liked in a truck. Debating on 275/60r15 it had 270/60r15 on it an wouldn't rub trying to figure out if the 275 will be my only option as a tire that won't rub up front. Most like the offset size from the front to the rear and I'd like to steer away from that as much as possible. Just seeing what yours or any one reading this that might have some thought on this. Was told that 31's would be my best option but I didn't tell the guy it's not a 4x4 67 it's 2wd an I know 31's will rub regardless of what I do.
Love the truck! Sits perfect I just bought my first C10, 67 also. Can you tell me what kind of drops you have in the front and the back and what you used?
Just confirming that the front wheel width is 10". Were there any issues with that? I have heard guys say that you can't go wider than 8" on the front of this vintage of C10 so I want to make sure. It looks awesome!
Big window was an option in '67, it was RPO code A10 "Full view rear window" and the smalll window did come in later years on the C50 heavy duty trucks.
Which series # wheels are those? ive been really tossing the idea around of putting a set of bassets on my 92 i like the 90s craftsman truck, but they only offer 7"s & 8"s (which i think they run 8s?) in dot approved i want 10"s and 295s like i have now , and ive read conflicting posts on running the non dot bassetts and aeros, i cant imagine a racing wheel not being strong enough for the street? Maby the light wieght asphalts being not pot hole rated.... lucky How are they holding up on the street.
Stock rims on my 68 needed 2 inch spacers to run with the CPP disc brake setup, looks about the same finished trackwidth as what you have. Wonder if you will notice the same turning slip interference that i have now (my alignment shop cant get it any better). Is the setback of the front axles on purpose ? or ? She's a real sweetheart Lucky, thank you for sharing.
It always amazes me how something like wheels and tires can make such a big difference, good or bad. Digging the Truck Lucky, keep up the great work.
The whole truck looks perfect! Stance, patina, engine all look perfect.
Killer! It's nice to see some sidewall, I'm not a fan of lo pro tires on old iron...yours is spot on!
Rubber band tires are the worst!!!
That thing looks amazing. Thanks for saying what they are and how much they are that's awesome. Keep up the good work.
I had a 75 Step-Side C-10 with a 350 many years ago and seeing your truck makes me miss it a lot!
Lucky , your true hot rodder through and through what a truck ! . And like the comment below DONT PAINT it please . Thanks for sharing . Cheers
There are certain cars that I take an instant like for. It can be any type sports, classic, muscle, euro, import fast and slow. This truck has joined that list...great job lucky.
Well said! I feel the same way
You're still a kid at heart I love it. I think it looks sick! I dunno what it is about it but that intake just sets off the engine bay like no other
i agree
Wheels, tires and stance is total perfection. I like the way you party Lucky
Totally awesome. Takes me back to my teens in the 70's. I spent a lot of time in a similar C-10 that belonged to a friend of mine. Love it!
Man you are a machine! I love this truck! Keep it up! You know those tires going fry anyway!
Hey lucky that awesome that you kept the Rims and tires for 15 inch ! It just needs a fresh coat of red oxide primer and get it weathered! Killer truck!
Very nice truck! You are the man sir.❤
Thanks 👍
That’s a sweet ride. I finally purchase my first 71 c10 I had to settled for a long bed but will eventually make it a short bed,
Sits right, tires fill the space good, those wheels look slightly understated but still a little aggressive. On point.
the thing i like about lucky's videos is they don't drag on for hours. they tell you everything you need to know and thats it.
That looks good Lucky,I like the old school sizes. I ran 295/50-15 on 10's and 245/60-15 on 8's 25 years ago in 1993 on my '70 ......Still have the truck and wheels.Lol!
Awesome truck, Lucky! Great stance and that patina looks amazing, specially the driver's door.
This truck is sweet, nice work man! Wheel and tire fitment looks perfect.
Great job on the C10! Looks sharp!
thank you for staying on you tube. you're badass!
Now THAT looks awesome!! Thanks for sharing the tire and rim size.
I like those Basset wheels. Strong good looking and fairly cheap. Drive it, Lucky!
Dude! that is the perfect stance and a great choice of rims. looks great brother! can't wait to see whats next!
Looking Good Bra, Love them Old C10. Aloha
Front axle center line needs to come forward a bit, not sure why it's so far back.
Matt Farah's Million Mile Lexus I gotta a 69 and it's the same way

Such a cool truck. Love it.

I love the stance. Great work
geez this looks like the security cam footage from my shop.. moving heavy ass trucks around all by myself..Truck is definitely Looking good!
I want to have the same sizes on front and rear for sake of simplicity, but the stance of this truck is so awesome that I'm tempted.
Great wheel and tire combo!💯✌🏾
Were you able to run the QA1 lower control arms up front with those wheels? My 15in aluminum centerline wheels are too small, and the wheel weights would get cleaned off by the LCA ball joint casing/tube.
@matt_1969ChevyC1o
We are having the same problem. Will 2.5” drop spindle fix the issue?
Looks good, I like the stance of it and the colour.
Looks Great... Can't wait to see it roll under it's own power..
me too
great looking c10 lucky! way better than anything tony's driving

Can t waite to see you cruising in it!!!
Sweet C/10, Lucky. You have a great vision with your builds. Can’t wait to see you drive it! Don’t paint it

Beautiful Truck
i went to school with sams son, and worked with roland later, sorry about sam passing away a few yrs ago. they always had the 2wd blazers were the 1st and only i would see for yrs when i was growing up in redondo
I'm thinking of going with those wheels on my Nova too. Love em.
I can't wait to see this truck on the road!
It's looking really awesome.
Looks awesome can’t wait to see more
That truck is so damn cool lucky, every time you post a video I'm hoping its the c/10
Love it. So over the big wheel's. Dont want my cars looking like a rapper's whip!
If I lived closer I'd be over helping you on the truck every day.
Are you in Minnesota

Good stuff Lucky. Enjoy!
Looks awesome.

One man show!!! Sick!!
Sweet ride, I'd drive the heck out of it too!
Cheers from Tokyo
The combo is perfect
Looking forward to the call out and showdown with Freiburger and Dulich's muscle trucks!
looks fantastic!!!
Please Lucky, just don't let Tony drive it, keep this C10 for yourself ! Cheers from Australia :)
What are the specs on your stance? Springs size? Spindles? Etc. thank you. Great truck! Perfect wheel and tire and stance.
I just started painting the wheels for my '72 C20, gotta find some new rubber for them and start getting them swapped over...I went with the 2006 and up Chevy 8 lug 5 hole stock wheels, and they look great in white to match the body of the truck...up next I've gotta lower it...
Sweet Truck Lucky

Oh and hydroboost. It needs hydroboost.
very nice , perfect match to the 66 chevelle !
Lucky you got the ride hight just right man! You know it!
Nice truck Lucky
Very Nice Sir,
I like the way it came out
Looks awesome!
Great progress
Do you plan on paint or are you going the patina route. Cause I think it would look great in satin black with pin stripping. I usually don't like satin/matte but with those rims and the style of the truck... Yeah, it'll work.
What brand of tires are theos.. ?
Looks perfect.
Any way to push the front tires forward? They seem to sit back too much. Love the ride though!
I think its because its turned to the left a bit and the wide rims are throwing off the center line so much that it looks like its too far back!!!
What brackets did you use to get that 60/40 seat to bolt down

Beautiful
*Love the yr 67 no side markers on the quarters! Did they make a big window in 67?*
No big windows in 67, no small windows after 67
Big window was an option in '67, it was RPO code A10 "Full view rear window" and the smalll window did come in later years on the C50 heavy duty trucks.
The more you know... have never seen a big window 67 up here though
Yeah,I have never seen one in person. The 67-72 chev GMC truck website has a few ,lots of good documented info on there as well not just here say......
Loving the Nascar throwback
Bad ass truck Lucky. The big question is, How long til you have to put another set of tires on the back ;)
2 days after the build is finished lol
Lucky What box sides are you using??? Or maybe its the suspension setup but i like how the wheels are flush and not tucked under like you usually see.
that looks perfect
Any plans for another run of shirts from your shop, Lucky?
paint looks sweet
Looks good man!
I kinda hate it. BECAUSE IT'S NOT MINE. Awesome truck Lucky. I've been watching the progress. I need a older truck too.
Looks good Lucky!!!
