I do have a query with Dr. Marudhu Mohan:
Netaji Subhas Bose's references from his understanding and pronouncements on the historic Partition of Bengal 1906 and which decision by the British to divide Bengal to East & West was both on the cards and fuming within the society, taking into account further that agriculturist-fisher-folks of East Bengal, probably the 1st in the world, being demographically numerous in Moslem population; and, West Bengal, having a large Hindu population; and, many Indian intellectuals, commoners and observers willing NOT to divide their motherland; what was Netaji Bose's consideration, even though he was a 9-year-old Bengali kid in 1906, nevertheless, in his later formative years, the Partition having already infused a great public unhappiness? Was Netaji Bose trying a rethink, review and rework on the Partition of Bengal, the historic but sad event ushering in the 20th century? Thank you, sir!

Subas Bose had the courage to go through the path that his mind dictated to him unmindful of the consequences. Gandhi did not like him and so did Rajaji, who was, until he rebelled against Gandhi in 1941, the number two to Gandhi and Patel quietly endorsed Rajaji's line . It was Rajaji , who ensured the exit of Bose from the Congress and not Nehru.But Hindus are made to believe by the RSS that Nehru , who ensured the exit of Bose from the Congress. Since Hindus do not have great heroes in modern times they seem to be willing to grab anyone . Subas was a secular person to the fingertips and his rag-tag-bobtail outfit had even been named Azad Hind Fauz. Bose was a sickly and weird person and a complete narcissist -he would demand that his juniors (everyone was a junior to him) salute him and command them not to sit in front of him .He had the megalomania of a military commander . His rag-tag outfit surrendered meekly and pleaded mercy to escape death . I Had two colleagues -both Tamils -who were in his "army" and both of them weighed just a littleover 40 kgs and were about 5' or thereabouts and who surrendered in Burma and claimed that they fought in the second world war
Subas had no compunction in allying with Nazis of Germany and Fascists of Italy and ruthless Japanese dictator to fight the British ; it will be similar to India allyiing with the Taliban to fight Pakistan . When India-Madras, Vizag & Kakinada- was bombed by Bose's allies ,Bose kept quiet and did not even whisper against it .
This is not to detract Bose's misguided spirit and is only to put things in proper perspective . His brother Sarat was in the interim government of Nehru and quit the Congress only after he was dropped from the ministry. Today a myth is being spun around Subas Bose
