Great video, thanks Matt. Only just started to travel around Europe and I had never heard of Vueling before (or how to pronounce it) and found your video really really informative, thanks.
Well done Matt for booking the fast track at Gatwick! It certainly saved you a long wait at security. Gatwick certainly looked busy for early Sunday morning, looks like flights are getting back to near normal. Might look in on your cruise report some day!!!
Cheers Peter - Matt's Oceans! Will be a little while before that report comes along - I need to throttle the cruise content a little more as I don't go on cruises every week, despite how it might look some times!

Standard Vueling but completely acceptable :) Completely agree with your point on route maps...as I was watching this I wondered which routes BA had from LGW, bit of a faff to find! Nice video once again, Matt.

Very good video Matt and good job booking fast track at Gatwick that queue is huge. Flew Vueling recently from Gatwick to Orly and found them to be quite good all things considered for a LCC and friendly cabin crew . I agree with your comments on route maps airlines should publish these as would be good to see the BA routes from Gatwick but you cannot get it easily

Flight was cancelled for no apparent reason, very unfriendly staff, no support and no compensation. Thanks to my brilliant travel agent of more than 30 years we were rebooked on Easyjet and got to Rome 2 hours later than planned. After loads of emails etc we were refunded what we paid. Hello sir, I will be flying from Gatwick to Rome via Vueling in a few weeks, I live in Malaysia and the booking I made was from Malaysia, I was shocked at how small their free cabin baggage allowance is, it's super tiny (talking about the under seat luggage). I can't even check in online as they said my country isn't on the list, I see a few videos of people struggling to do the check-in at the airport whereby the kiosk is offline, so besides being there early, what do we need to look out for? Mine is the basic fare with my family so no add ons, wanted to keep it cheap, do they allow vitamins or prescribed medication for the cabin baggage, I know that liquid is usually 1L per person but what else do I need to look forward to?
I'd certainly get to the airport early and try checking in once you're in the UK... You may not be able to as you may need to present passports at check-in as you're not from an EU country. You can certainly carry what you like in hand baggage - you're advised to carry a copy of the prescription for any medications so you can prove they're yours but its very rare for anyone to check.... And liquids need to be less than 100ml - quite a few airports have newer scanners which allow more but you can't yet guarantee you'll get one of them when you travel so its best to observe the lower limits.
Wow, I flew from Gatwick to Mauritius last Thursday. It was empty! Reminds me, fancy doing a video on a 772 in economy 10 abreast? Luckily I was in WTP
Top tip on on the spot fast track access Matt. Who knew!? When with Mum, she needs special assistance as she can't really walk far. Perhaps that's like Fast Track as we jump the queue. But, I'll defo opt for instant fast track when on my own. £6 - that is a bargain. :)
Wonderful job Matt once again! I flew Vueling a while back from Gatwick to Paris Orly and I guess I got very lucky as the BA lounge dragon very graciously allowed me entry at the LGW BA lounge... Despite my being a BA Silver member... And holding a Vueling basic economy ticket... With a VY flight number 😂🙈 It was most certainly a one off but I appreciated it nonetheless 😅
That's a very good question.... I think the answer is no... Vueling's relationship with BA comes from being brothers (sisters?) in IAG rather than from the OneWorld alliance. So I don't know for sure but I would strongly suspect the access is only given to BA gold card holders.
Every day is a learning day i dont know you could pay for fast track boarding at LGW. Anyway Ill remember that for future flights thanks. Also, FWIW its now £7 (end of march 23) to buy on the spot.
After a horrendous Vueling experience a good while back decided to give them another try years later. Same route, just in reverse. Absolutely fine and got a whopping 37 avios 😂

No problem - thanks for watching! It's Gatwick's South terminal, which is where the rail station is so its quite easy to get to the check in when you arrive. I'd say (and Gatwick agrees!) that you should get there no less than 2 hours before departure. If you're a little nervous then arriving up to 3 hours beforehand should give you plenty of time. That security queue was ridiculous but I was there in the morning which is peak departure time for the airport. It may be just as bad in the evening, but you might also just walk straight though!

Vueling ist die unverschämteste und schlechteste Airline, mit der ich bisher zu tun hatte. Koffer seit Monaten vermisst und keine Reaktion von Vueling. Ich rate allen von dieser Airline ab!
Which basically translates to Avoid Avoid Avoid!!! Vueling is not exempt from my usually Low Cost Carrier criticism - they're decent and can be good when things go well, they can be a challenge if things go wrong...
Dude you only like vueling because you haven't done it much. They are always late, sometimes hours. You cannot connect with customer service and no one deals with complaints. I tried to recreate the hfp business class experience with vueling and swore never go with them again. At least Ryanair is always on time. Do do de dooo! Trumpets beat missed connections or car hires!
True - a small sample... But that's 6 flights with them now in total, all of which were good. But Ryanair will leave you in the lurch too if things go wrong?
