My kids asked me to tell them a bedtime story tonight. I asked them what it should be about. My daughter said that it should be about a cow. So I told her a story about a little cow with a sore hoof. When I got to the part about the sore hoof my daughter said, “and the hoof GP came to help her!” I told about how Graeme and Craig came with the crush. And then after I described trimming her hoof my daughter said, “ohh, she’s gonna need a block for that!” 😂😂😂 so congratulations! You now have kids’ bedtime stories about you!
I also got s0 involved I shook my tablet to move a piece of stray pealed hoof. It didn't work. I love these videos showing how much you do for the girls by caring.
Shirley from Wildwood Missouri. Not a farmer, not around cows. I have no idea why and how I have become hooked on hoof stuff. But I find it interesting to watch you take care of these beautiful animals. I love cows!! I am so glad I found you. Blessings!
@laurahall3094 bffr. Have you never smelled rotten/decaying vegetables or plant matter, Or an old batch of collard greens? Cuz that shit smells horrible. And so do cow farms
I love how he keeps talking and trimming while the cow is having a wee pee! Your humor, the unedited videos, and most importantly, your passion for each animal's wellness is why I love your videos! Thank you for bringing joy to so many humans!
I am so invested in this channel. Watching Graeme do the good work inspires me to be a better person. This cow is lucky. Shout out to Craigie Boy and Kevin.
Oh my Lord Graeme. I cringed every time that poor girl flinched. You were being as gentle as you could. I’m sure she will feel so much better after your hard work. Thank you for everything you do for these beautiful creatures. 🤗
Fab job Graeme…she must have felt so much better. 🐄 Whilst you were working, it brought to mind Renato, the Farrier on “Open Gate”….+ their motto is…”To help those who have no voice to be heard!” 🐎 The world would be awful without you dedicated people + the loving care you bestow on these wonderful animals…Thank you always. 🐄💕🫠
Amazing work once again by the farmer putting her in a straw pen, and the work you have done will definitely bring her a great amount of relief. Thank you graeme for another amazing trim, hope she feels better soon, I'll be keeping my eye out for her follow-up trim ❤
My kids absolutely love watching your videos and so do I. Thanks to you l, we get some time together to just sit and watch together without the daily things that we do. This is our quality time ❤
Thank you for the soft background music. So appropriate for what is going on. Also, it allows for hearing the work as you save the poor cow from her suffering. 👌
Aw Graeme, I watch these regularly but don’t comment. You’re such a canny lad and I love the way you treat these cows as though they’re your bairns. It’s really lovely. It’s such a good thing to know that people like you work hard in the industry that is so often blamed for things, such as global warming… ridiculous! We need to go back to the way things were, when everyone looked after each other, including our livestock, as well as we look after ourselves 💖
I would have covered that, with everything they walk into outside and in the enclosures. But you are the specialist and been doing this for years, you know more than someone that just started watching your career for 6months or so. I appreciate you helping these poor animals. God bless🙏🙏🙏
@Thehoofgp is legendary I cant sit through another cow trimmers video after watching so many of yours they just don't make me feel like I'm learning anything
Graeme I so enjoy watching your channel. I am not a farmer just a old lady that loves animals . I love how you really love what you do and joke with you brothers-in-law. A few years ago I came across "sheepishly me" channel and she helped me through a great depression I was in after losing my husband. When I found your channel it helps me as well seeing you truly care for those beautiful animals. Like I said I am not a farmer but just an old lady quilter. Keep doing what you are doing. I enjoy watching you.
Several months ago a video of yours showed up on my feed; I watched it--curious...since then I've watched dozens. I haven't even seen a cow in years, but these videos are excellent! Greatly calming...
Graeme, HELLO!!! I'm here in Birmingham, Alabama , USA. I just want you to know how very much I LOVE THE WAY YOU TAKE SUCH GOOD CARE OF YOUR COW'S HOOFS. I'M SO VERY GLAD THAT YOU POPPED UP IN MY TH-cam FEED. I'VE SUBSCRIBED AND HOPE TO SEE MORE ANIMALS HELPED BY YOUR GREAT HANDS. YOUR THEIR HERO AS WELL AS MINE, BECAUSE I HATE IT WHEN AN ANIMAL SUFFERS. CYA' SOON❤
I’m 73yrs.old and I live with my daughter and her family on a hobby farm. We have sheep, a pasture pig, a goat, a goose, ducks and chickens. Another daughter also lives here. My daughters and two adult children take care of the animals. I sit and crochet and watch them from the dining room window. We have beautiful mountains behind us. It’s all picturesque and very peaceful. I sit and watch you care for your cows. We don’t have any cows, though my daughter wants some. When the animals get sick my family stays up all night watching them if it’s needed. It’s good to see people raise and care for animals. My daughter always wanted to live on a farm. Not me. I’m a city girl from Dallas, Tx. Living on a farm was never part of my plan. BUT living here in the mountains (I used to hate them, too) on a small hobby farm and I have NEVER been HAPPIER. I like watching your show.
I admire how caring and loving you are with the livestock. I haven't been around cows for many years but ran across one of your videos and I've become addicted to your content. It's so satisfying to watch you mend the hooves of these poor babies so they can heal. I wish you all continued success and happiness.
Hopefully you and all of your family and friends are doing well! Sending lots of love from the Midwestern United States. I greatly appreciate you sharing your hard work and how you improve so many beautiful cow lives! You have sounded (to my ears) a bit more melancholy as of late. I truly hope that you are doing well. Thank you for all that you do!!!
That final shot is a great example of the hoof minus the bottom layer. You have the wall horn, and you can make out the corium with the thinnest layer of new horn, other than the sore spot. The outside and inside claws give you good visual comparison of internal and external anatomy, IMHO. Great trim Graeme.
I think the phrase on the tip of your tongue was "it's impossible to be perfectly precise". I stand in admiration of your consistent use of of precise language. Thought I'd add this, even though I suspect sometime later that day you yourself already thought, "oh - THAT'S the phrase I was searching for!".
