As an owner of a hobby farm with only 3 horses, most people don’t realize the expense of horse ownership. Fortunately my wife and I had incomes to support and maintain our small herd. @youtube-ventura You suffer from a lack of comprehension skills. The poster clearly states that he and his wife have the money to fund their little farm. You obviously know nothing about situations like this. The most common I remember was elderly people that couldn't get to animals because of age or illness and didn't have the money to get them fixed afterwards. The usual option was to just have a neighbor dig a hole with a tractor and put them down. Or they could be sold to a renderer at a stock yard. Happens very often when horses get into a grain bin and overdose. It is called foundering. A foundered horse grows hooves like this quickly and there is not much you can do. Especially when a hoof job like this is temporary and expensive.
That's worth knowing. I didn't know the horse would do that. Could it help if the grain bin would stand on a certain high, so it's impossible to stand in it. They would only have to bring their neck and head into the bin, unless they would or could still overdose ?!??
Wow! That was amazing. You did a great job on all the feet. I'm sure it will take him sometime to adjust to his new feet but I think he'll feel so much better. I hope the owner will continue to bring him to you so he can be trimmed on a regular bases and that will probably improve those back feet a great deal.

($75.00) just to visit your barn before any treatment. You can’t cheap out on your horses. They deserve all the care you can give. I just subscribed. Thanks for the quality and informative videos. Whimsical Wind Farm.
Dude if you can't afford it, sell your horses and your farm. Don't make your horses suffer because of your miscalculation on what you can financially handle.

Same situation here. 4,000 to treat Lyme. Get the check book out!
@youtube-ventura You suffer from a lack of comprehension skills.
The poster clearly states that he and his wife have the money to fund their little farm. He wrote only to share the fact that people get horses without knowing how expensive it is and he shared some examples.
Then you barge in accusing him of being a dirt-broke animal abuser, all because you can not comprehend reading.
Go back to school and try again. Meanwhile, quite commenting and showing the world how pathetic your skills are.
@TWay-yf5zm You're agreeing with a fool.
Go back to the poster's comment and find where he says he and his wife CAN'T afford their farm...go on.
What you'll find is a man saying they were financially prepared to afford their hobby farm and horses. He did a good service by listing some real costs they pay that people need to be aware of.
youtube-ventura did NOT understand a word the man clearly wrote. Then YOU come along like a backwoods bobble-head UH HUH UH HUH AYUCK YUCK YUCK DATS RIGHT! I hope you're at least intelligent enough to be embarrassed and delete your comment to ventura so the nonsense isn't there for all time.
That looked like incredibly hard work! I'm not a farmer, I know nothing about horses, but what u just did for this animal was amazing, brother! Just to take away the pain he was in was worth it. Well done, sir! Well done!
An unsung hero for these animals. Fascinating work. Thank you for sharing.
thank you for giving him a little bath, too! that mud caked into his fur couldn't have been comfortable
The sheer neglect is criminal. The immediate relief you can give these horses just by a regular trim can never be understated.
You should know when you don't know what you're talking about. A lot of horse people commenting here and they all thank him for his work and keep quite about the owners.
Supirt him and send some cash with the thanks button on his videos.
A lot of these animals it's leave them as is or put them down.
@@sparksmcgee6641your comment makes absolutely no sense. 10/10 for effort though :)
@@elandria Because you don't know what you're talking about.
@@sparksmcgee6641so let me get this straight. Me saying that neglect like this is criminal and that the owners should be prosecuted is me having no idea what I’m talking about. Or that giving your horse regular hoof care can prevent this is also me not knowing what I’m talking about. You are the one with no idea. You need to move along 😂
That is so sad when a person doesn't take care of their animals, they have feelings too, people that let this happen should be fine & have the horse taken away !! From a horse owner/lover. Ty for the work you do and getting these videos out for people to see and get educated. ❤
Thank you for helping this horse, which is a beautiful creature who deserved more than this. ❤
You are brilliant, well done. Thankyou for helping this sweetheart of a horse. THE OWNER SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED ANYWHERE NEAR ANIMALS AT ALL FOR LIFE ! WHAT A CRUEL PERSON.
Thank goodness for people like you. Alovely kind compassionate man and brilliant farrier . Hope the horse has a comfortable good life now xx
So a lifetime of raising animals and an elderly person getting dementia and you scream ignorant insults at them.
I love how you were so gentle with this neglected horse. I also love how you didnt backlash the owner for distreating this lovely horse! Respect to you my man
Thank you so much for helping this horse. I pray they do bring him back in six weeks and continue to give him the care that he needs.
this poor boy :((( thank you for the work that you do, it gives me so much hope knowing that there are people like you out there with the compassion and dedication needed to care for these animals properly. i'm sure you have touched the souls of every horse you have helped ♥
poor animal ... how could the owners let him get that bad... just heart breaking... 😥
thank you for helping this poor animal
What's amazing to me is that those feet were still reasonably ok under all that overgrowth. Hopefully they have been fully restored by now and the back ones return to correct positions, please God. Great job!!❤❤❤
That poor neglected animal :( So glad there's someone like this guy to help and hopefully make their life better.
🙏👍🙏 bless u for helping him 🙏. Bless the poor 🐎 🐴 to feel better and correct his walking 🙏❤🙏
Thank you for helping this horse. There are possibly numerous reasons why his owner neglected this animal,
but hopefully that will change or he will sell the horse.
There’s no GOOD reason for something like this.
Words don’t even come to me to express how amazing you are!! Thank you for all you do and Many Blessings!!
The world needs more people like you guys. If you ever travel to Bali, Indonesia, there are more suffering dogs there in need of help then I've ever seen in my entire life combined. It's heart breaking
Those were the most horrific conditions I have ever seen on any horse! The work you have done is absolutely bloody Brill! What talent and compassion.
What a patient, calm horse. Thank you for helping him. I hope he is doing much better now.
Horse was drugged he said.
@@tjn8844 Horse got a nice day at the spa but no aspirin for that hangover! hahahaha!
i feel so bad for the horse. poor thing , he must've been in pain for a long time.
then the savior came along.Bless your Hands. you've done a GREAT Job .
It hurts my heart to see horses or donkeys and mules with horribly neglected feet! But it's always nice to see a capable farrier get them straightened out enough to have a comfortable surface on the bottom of the hooves for the animal to stand and walk on!!! Good job!! 👍👍❤️❤️❤️
I'm not really a 'Horsey' person although I found this fascinating. Well done that man! It's a work of art.
I really appreciate all your hard work! You are making a positive difference in the world, and I'm so grateful for you.
That broke my heart!!!! I’m so glad you could help him. 🥹
Poor thing. I wish somebody loved him. This is probably the closest he’s ever gotten to anybody caring. He’s so patient, he knows he’s being helped finally.
Thank you for explaining about the paint. I've never seen an animal with hooves like that. I would have been pretty alarmed if I didn't know that was paint.
This is heart breaking to watch the condition this poor horse was in and can't believe the amount of pain you figure 1,000 #s of weight of pressure on those feet before trimmed and corrected the best it can be for now
Thank you for the video and giving him a bath brushing out his mane and tail the most attention this horse has gotten in awhile attention and love he needs to have! Great job on feet and care he got thank you for what you do
No matter what has happened to that horse in the past, thank GOD he found his way to you! ❤🐎
That’s a good way to look at it. It’s easy to judge, but braver to move forward like these farriers are doing. Nice to see the horses getting help.
I can tell by the way the horse is holding his head down that he's sedated, thank you for your care and consideration in explaining this operation to everyone, that's very kind of you. I've often thought about going to school to learn how to perform these procedures but I know there's more to it than just the trimming of their hooves. There's various infections and illnesses that can affect their hooves as well.
Amazing watching you work! I am so glad that the poor horses have you on their side. Thank you for a satisfying video of hoof restoration.
TO SEE SUCH NEGLECT OF THIS HORSE IS, MORE THAN HEART BREAKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU DID A LOT TO HELP THIS HORSE OUT & THANKS FOR SHARING!!! Do take care. Fl.
My blessings to that young man with a good heart and he will go go far in this occupation!!! Best of luck young man God bless you 🙏🙏🙏🙏!!!!
I’m always impressed to see you find the correct foot inside all the awful overgrowth.
You work so hard. That horse is blessed to be in your compassionate care.
I'm so glad you are out there helping this horse and others😊
I really hope that the owner lets you keep helping this beautiful horse.
Thank you showing us how to help out the voiceless and they know you're helping them thank you for being there
THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH! That poor horse should be rescued from the owner! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
In six weeks, does he get some custom shoes to help rotate his bone, ligaments, and tendons back into anatomical alignment? It looks like even with the fantastic job you did getting him back on flat feet, things are still pretty out of whack. It's going to take a while for the neglect to grow out either way. I hope the owner keeps with it; I know you will.
100% what I was about to ask and say, so @adde9506 well said!
I couldn't understand why the horse wasn't gotten horseshoes
@@YAVUZ8847the horse is probably not doing anything that requires it has shoes, and with everything going on with its hind feet it makes me wonder if it may not be possible to safely shoe those at this point.
@@YAVUZ8847 If the owner couldn't manage a trim every 8 - 10 weeks, they certainly aren't going to do shoes every 6 weeks.
Shoes would get in the way.
Thanks for helping him....he looks like a good boy who deserves a better home.....😊 A combination of brawn, knowledge & an artistic bent makes for a beautiful job!🎉
Not in a 100,000,000 years would I have guessed horses hooves did that! Their hooves look like logs of wood you’re whittling. Are wild horses’s hooves differently made, or does this happen to them as well? Holy Toledo, my mind is seriously blown! Thank you for helping these beautiful creatures!❤❤❤
Horses that live wild travel for miles every day and wear their feet naturally. Ones with bad feet tend not to survive.
Please post when you get back to this horse! You did remarkable work and I for one would like to see the final result. I’ll subscribe! And thanks for what you do!!!
What a brilliant job you did I really hope this horse makes a good recovery
An absolute disgrace that a person would allow their animal to suffer like this i have owned horses for 40 years and never ever have i seen this kind of neglect in horses hooves this is reall disgusting behaviour shown towards this beautiful soul
Wow. That was a mess. Thank you for helping the horse. ❤
I've never seen something so horrible. Poor, poor animal. Thanks for the good hearted person, helping out......❤❤
Happens very often when horses get into a grain bin and overdose.
Thank the Gods for this gentleman who did this job. The animals could use a lot more kinder caring hearts in this world.
Hoping this horse gets regular trims and has a good life. Thank you for helping
I keep watching this video, feeling so sad in the condition. It thrills me how ya'll work miracles. Bless you and thank you for this rescue!
The way u explained it is fabulous. So easy to understand the process and the discomfort that poor horse was in. Great job
Thank goodness for talented men like this man. Thanks for saving the horse
What an amazing job you did. How awesome the horse looked. Hope owner gets a clue. ❤
Hi doggo
This poor Horse, How can anyone do this?, I was so glad to see her get new hooves tho, THANK YOU and lots of love from Scotland.xxAnne.
Wow! That was amazing. You did a great job on all the feet. I'm sure it will take him sometime to adjust to his new feet but I think he'll feel so much better. I hope the owner will continue to bring him to you so he can be trimmed on a regular bases and that will probably improve those back feet a great deal.
I bet that horse was sore af for a few days just from the physical shock of such a radical change but I hope with my whole heart he gets better care moving forward. You did a GREAT job!
Thank you for caring about the horse. It's what matters the most.
That poor dear creature. As a human with severe corns until recently, I could not walk properly, always in pain, could not wear so many types of shoes so I try to imagine how this was for the horse and I can't. Not even close.
I can only hope that he is more comfortable now and having some life.
The horse moving around his hooves just breaks my heart. Thank you for this! I’m so glad the horse is in better condition
Wow. What an amazing transformation. You are truly great at your job. Thank you for helping this sweet horse.
That poor sweet horse. Thank you for helping him. ❤
i've been watching your videos for a while. I really respect your try and your work. I watched another channel where the farrier gave up. That horse was happy to eat! that's a great sign. thank you for helping him.
God bless this man for helping this poor horse 🐎 he will feel much better 😊😊
This neglect makes my heart hurt. 😔 God bless you. 🙏
