Hearing the two of you (you and the farmer) talk to each other and openly question each other about if one of you may be wrong was really refreshing to see. There's no accusations, no ego, no belittling, and it doesn't come off as a challenge - just two professionals working together to get to the root of the problem to make sure this big boy gets his hoof fixed. That type of interaction seems rarer and rarer these days. Thank you for doing everything you do for these amazing animals.
This is one of my favourite ever comments - I hadn’t really thought about that conversation until til I read your comment! Thanks for making it and thanks for being a part of this incredible community!
Hear hear! It's enjoyable to hear "grown up" conversations discussing the same desired outcome. "Have you done this?" "First thing I tried." "Okay, what was the second...?" (Not trying to copy what was said on the film, just a really professional attitude.) The aim is to find the solution asap, and not just a possible one but the right one. Gents like Graeme and the farmer have my deepest respect for that.
Lol I thought the questions sounded a bit abrupt, but I could clearly see and hear that they weren’t being taken that way. So thank you for adding to my cultural knowledge! (Perspective: I was born and raised in the United States Deep South in Georgia where how you say things and the words you use are often strict as to be nigh biblical.)
@@TheHoofGP Thank you! Over the course of my life I have worked both with and for too many people that would see a conversation like that as some sort of insult to their knowledge. Keratin is an incredibly versatile material. Hair, fingernails, claws, hooves, horns, and even whale baleen: it's all the same stuff, just structured differently. Back in the day, people used horn the same way we now use plastic. With heat, moisture, and pressure it can be shaped and molded and then carved to make everything from spoons to knife handles to art plaques and brooches.

First - what an absolutely gorgeous Bull, with his curly, red-brown coat. Poor guy, already has a sore hoof and then injures himself by knocking his horn off. 🤦🏻♀️ Also - I’d like to echo what many others have said: the interactions between you and the Farmer, respectfully and with humour, trying to get to the bottom of the Bull’s issues, was lovely to hear (and the fabulous Scots accents were a bonus 😉🏴). Another job well done, Graeme. Mr. Bull will be feeling better in no time - and Yes, that must have hurt like hell. 👍🐂 Cheers from Ontario 🇨🇦
I can literally sit and watch these videos for 2 hours with a cup of tea before i go to bed after a long day at work. I love the intro music and the fantastic work you do. Its fascinating to me because i would never have even thought about cows hooves or how they could become problematic. So this is all very educating.
What an absolute sweetheart of a bull. As many people said, he has such a good temperament and is so clearly aware that you're there to help. Even after two weeks, it's so clear he knows you're there to help. So glad to see the farmer caring so intently and the respect both ways between you two and the farmer is so rewarding to hear regardless. Good on you guys. Seriously, keep up the good work.
The commentary between all of you discussing rhe issues with this poor guys hoof was extremely refreshing to see. No arguements, no fighting, just open and honest discussion about whether someone may have been mistaken. Adult conversation like that, completely civilized seems so far gone in the world today that its very refreshing to see. Thanks for another great episode, and for all you guys do to help care for such amazing creatures. Looking forward to the next one as always and so anxiously excited waiting for your book to get here. Thank you for not editing out your drive home. I love hearing you both laugh. It's also great to see you're human and do drive the wrong way, just like the rest of us.
Oh dang! His poor head horn! I’m glad to hear that it won’t be a big problem for him. He’s such a beautiful bull with all that dark, curly fur/hair! I’m so glad you were able to fix up his foot! Those were such sharp little stones! I also bought a hoodie, and a shirt, and the Christmas pajamas! I hope that your Autumn is full of joy and wealth! Blessed Samhain! 🍂
What a gorgeous bull, so glad you found the source of his pain. We cry if we have a thistle stuck in us, can you imagine walking around with rocks stuck in your foot that are like sharp wedges getting pushed in deeper and deeper into your sole. Yikes! Nice work! He’ll be showing off for the ladies in no time! ❤❤
I really like how you explain your reasoning for things, like why you didn't put the block on right away, it really helps to learn "in the field" as they say.
I’m glad to see a selar animal that is tame. I bought five pure bred heifers years ago. The wildest animals I have ever had. I ran about three hundred Hereford cross with angus and every time I rode through on my horse you could tell them from a long ways away. Every time their heads would be up in the air. Had them for a year. Calving them out was the worse. Mean, very motherly.
I thank you very much for showing the cleaning part of the process this time. A lot of people would not understand why except farmers. The reason is to prevent spread of any diseases or illnesses to the next farm he goes to and does not become the vector for the spread. Prevention is better than treatment. This situation there was no way to prevent it so treatment was needed.
Graeme, from a farmer's daughter, I really am grateful for the conscientious care you give these animals. As the mother to an LGBT adult, I am grateful for your One Herd. Much love from this Arizona farm girl.
@melhawk6284 who's a bigot? Imsuportvwexare all one-world. Until this persons comment making it only about LGBT etc then I'm saying obviously I misunderstood the one herd message.
I can just imagine the conversation between you two: “Hey, uh, I kinda knocked his horn off…” Anyway, another great video! I’m glad you were able to help this beautiful big bull, and I could tell from the amount of blood how sharp those stones were, and how much pain they were causing him. Keep this up! Love ur vids! ❤ Edit: So happy that the new merch finally released! I just LOVE how you put a cow/bull (I can’t tell what animal that is) wearing a hat saying ‘HGP’ on it for the pajamas. I would really like to buy some but I’m afraid I either don’t have enough/they don’t have my size. Love it though! ❤
Such a lovely bull, and so glad you could fix him. He's going to be feeling so much better without the stones. I wasn't sure how much you would have to take off after seeing the claret pouring out, but it trimmed up really well, giving a lot of relief straight away. Much love to all x
The PJs highland cow is missing her block! Love the pjs could we girls have a nightgown one too please? Mrs HoofGP Ashley would understand not all girls like PJs. I love it that you leave the outtakes in the video. Please give us an update on the bull’s foot that looked so angry & bleeding so much.

Thank you for not editing out your drive home. I love hearing you both laugh. It's also great to see you're human and do drive the wrong way, just like the rest of us.
I just love watching you and how much you actually care about these animals!
Happy Saturday night everyone, great way to spend the evening thanks gp!
Such a good, patient bull. Please keep us updated on his healing.
Thank you for all you do for these animals...your blessings will be tenfold 🙏
He’s such a beautiful boy! Glad you found his issue quickly 😊
Thank you for dedicating your life to helping animals! The work you do is so heartwarming! 😄🙏❤️
Poor guy 😬😭 and he wacked his horn of too😱 so glad you got him fixed up. 🎉💜
I love how he looked back at you very nicely, as if to say thank you.😊
Poor baby! I can't handle a pebble in my shoe for longer than a few seconds, I can't imagine how he handled that for 2 weeks! ❤
God bless you Graeme and your family
What a beautiful boy he was. He must have been in so much pain poor lad. Glad he is sorted now ❤
What a gentle boy. Thank you for helping him!!
I really like how you explain your reasoning for things, like why you didn't put the block on right away, it really helps to learn "in the field" as they say.
This big guy is a beautiful beastie! Thanks as always for sharing these interactions with us, "The Herd"! ❤❤❤
I received your book today and it's my birthday!! I can't wait to sit down and read it, Thank you Graeme
I love how the farm's herding dog was herding you guys as you set up 😂🐕

I’m very excited that i received confirmation that my book is on its way. Can’t wait to read it and share with all my friends.
I got my book yesterday, looking forward to reading it, thank you Graham…..❤️
My heart hurt so much for that poor cow!! Thank Goodness you were able to find the problem and help him.🙏🙏
I’m glad to see a selar animal that is tame.
Saler cattle certainly get the name for being wild, but we had an old gentleman a few years back and he was so placid.
Received my book yesterday , thank you from The Netherlands
I find myself eager for your next video. For some reason, it does wonders for my CPTSD. Thank you, Mr. G.P. 🙌
He was a very nice bull. He wasn't nervous or angry. He was just such a good boy!
He is gorgeous, so glad you could get those stones out, he must have been in so so much pain but thankfully you helped him 💖
I thank you very much for showing the cleaning part of the process this time. A lot of people would not understand why except farmers. The reason is to prevent spread of any diseases or illnesses to the next farm he goes to and does not become the vector for the spread. Prevention is better than treatment. This situation there was no way to prevent it so treatment was needed.
I got your book today and can't wait to read it super video guys
I also got his book in the Mail today 😊
Me too 😊 Can't wait to start reading 🙏
Got my book the other day
Cant wait to read it ❤
I like how we all support each other
Really hope you enjoy it and my story
Another great job helping an animal who really needs attention. Love your videos! 🐮💕
Graeme, from a farmer's daughter, I really am grateful for the conscientious care you give these animals. As the mother to an LGBT adult, I am grateful for your One Herd. Much love from this Arizona farm girl.
Well thanks now I won't be getting the one Herd with that connotation.
@@joywebster2678 By all means, out yourself as a bigot. I don't mind.
@@joywebster2678don't think Graem needs the support, or WANTS the support of a bigot, anyway.
@@joywebster2678you know you didn’t have to make a comment to out yourself as a hateful person, right?
@melhawk6284 who's a bigot? Imsuportvwexare all one-world. Until this persons comment making it only about LGBT etc then I'm saying obviously I misunderstood the one herd message.
Excited to start the book I received in the mail today. Thank you for taking the time to sign it.🎉🎉🎉
The book is coming today. I can't wait.
my copy arrived yesterday
I can just imagine the conversation between you two:
“Hey, uh, I kinda knocked his horn off…”
Anyway, another great video! I’m glad you were able to help this beautiful big bull, and I could tell from the amount of blood how sharp those stones were, and how much pain they were causing him. Keep this up!
Love ur vids! ❤
Edit: So happy that the new merch finally released! I just LOVE how you put a cow/bull (I can’t tell what animal that is) wearing a hat saying ‘HGP’ on it for the pajamas. I would really like to buy some but I’m afraid I either don’t have enough/they don’t have my size. Love it though! ❤
Normally, I can watch the trims, just fine...but This one has brought tears to my eyes! He surely had a huge reason to be sore!!!
Hello, Herd! Thanks for being here...❤❤❤
This poor boy! And he was so good for his trim
Such a lovely bull, and so glad you could fix him. He's going to be feeling so much better without the stones. I wasn't sure how much you would have to take off after seeing the claret pouring out, but it trimmed up really well, giving a lot of relief straight away. Much love to all x
Oh I love how he looked back at you as if to say thank you for helping him!!!
What a beautiful Bull. So thankful you were able to set him right. He’s bound to be feeling better .
