Matching both gives a Pure tool, but reading and picking what you ultimately want are a big part of how you make stuffs (at least in the Maps that I have bought that have this in them, I do not have the add on yet).

I'm in LOVE with tinker's construct but for some reason a lot of items and blocks in the add-on that are essential for you to progress through the mod are completely invisible for me. I hate it so much and no matter what i do, I can't make it work properly for my worlds. I've deleted the add-on and re-downloaded it and it's solved nothing. Also what is it with TH-camrs and absolutely hating on this mod? I swear I hear nothing but hate from TH-camrs over this mod, even before it came to bedrock, TH-camrs were hating on it because "it's too complicated 😢". Like duh, that's the point of the mod, why are you surprised that it's complicated?
The bedrock version deserves all the hate it gets, that was an absolutely horrible cash grab. But the java edition is absolutely fantastic, people just don't have the common sense to READ THE INSTRUCTIONS GIVEN TO THEM.

Seems like a bit bias of a review tbh... The first couple pages of the tinkers book pretty much explain everything just like any other add-on, the other pages are mostly in-depth details you don't need to know until later when you're interested, like if you want to know what all the keywords on the tools mean, you can just look them up when designing a perfect tool for you. And you can't really experience it for 20 mins in creative, when it's designed to be played over hours/days in survival, then expect to have a good idea what it's like, also some of the tools can mine in a 3x3 area, do insane damage like 20+ and can have unlimited durability, not to mention the 20+ custom effects like being able to cut down an entire tree in one hit (which essentials completely failed at), or giving a really high chance to get wither skeleton skulls, so saying it's got no high end is a bit of a joke lol. It also has a bunch more to do with smelting, crafting, and combat, should really give it more of a chance. Not sure if it's a balance choice or a bug, but tools from tinkers on Java don't disappear when they break, they become unusable, and then you need to repair them.

The video isn't a guide or in-depth analysis, not sure why you and others think every mod deserves to be treated like it's a mod review from back then. It's simply trying 3 higher rated mods and going into it with 0 experience as a noob who's trying it for the first time. This Tinkerer's is implemented worse in almost every way compared to Java. He did run through these quick, but this is realistic for like 90% of people who try out the mods. Most players trying aren't going "let me sit down for an hour or two" to begin understanding the mod. It's a mod creators job to make sure the introduction and learning process is as easy and understandable as possible, even helping guide you in the start. TC just throws like 6 books as you and says "read" like this isn't the fastest way to make most people feel overwhelmed, like it's not worth it, and quit within 10-20 mins even if they genuinely are interested in the concept or would be willing to learn... But don't want to deal with a crappy learning system. (Sounds like school, right? Students actually look forward to classes with good and fun teachers regardless of the subject). I've been playing with Applied Energistics, or Tech Reborn, and a few others, and this is a problem techy mods also commit, but these have MUCH MORE content than TC and their presentation is still easier to understand in Java because it's 1 book or well made wiki it directs you where everything is in one place, images have color, there's diagrams, examples, and even challenges they give players (without holding their hand), and it's ALL in one place rather than this mess spread across several books (subtabs would be better), these mods, to make even easier, are recommend being paired with questbooks with short descriptions/instructions to help guide the player down some path of progression. I saw this TC bedrock version and... Yeah, it needs work. I'm not surprised no one would want to dedicated more than 20 mins unless they're just THAT bored with MC and looking to squeeze anything out of Bedrock at that point. Essentials has basically Timber Mod, fake blocks to use as secret entrances, chunk borders, vein miners, an ore finder, perma night vision, AND vertical half slabs! SOLD!
13:57 Mask means only the blocks that are part of the mask get replaced. Since your mask is Stone Brick, Glass Block, and Block of Emerald, none of the selected blocks changed because they are grass blocks
to give you an idea of how big Tinkers construct is I did an in-depth review of it and it took almost 4 hours to get threw it all and I did experience some bugs that seem to be specific to my world because I am un able to reproduce them
Yeah, Tinkers is relatively deep, all things considered. Also, Bedrock tinkers is a lot jankier tham the Java mod, because addons cant really do custom UI menus.

The same reason why there's not official support for mods, selling mods like add-ons would be breaking EULA (you cannot profit from selling modified version of the game), but it's going on for so long (first mods were already in alpha) and is so big they just leave us alone. At least they gave you tools for add-ons, we created everything from scratch.

100% agree, but don't think it's going to happen sadly, by how negative he sounded towards it. It's meant to be a slow progression mod, not something you can showcase in 20 mins in creative. Terrible way to experience it for the first time, for sure.
he is just using the mask feature wrong with world builder the mask sets blocks that can be changed so you can replace a specific block in a selection rather than all of them in reality this addon is almost as versatile as the world edit mod for java
Slightly annoying that this review was done impulsively instead of being practiced to thoroughly inform potentially-interested people. Hopefully he takes a slightly less-impulsive approach to showcasing mods like these. Though I'm glad he did take the time to explore them later on, albeit at a slower and less-prepared pace.

Only switch to bedrock if you can use ray tracing on bedrock. Or if you can't use mods on java. Bedrock makes installing mods easier (there's free ones on mcpedl) and is more optimized without the need for sodium
i wouldnt say "let me review these things and see if its worth your money" and then be biased about the add on just because YOU dont like it and cause people who watch your ideos to not even pay attention to it even if they might like it themselves. You could make a bone farm out of a regular mob grinder with the undead effect, free bones and arrows, you think too narrowly about these kinds of things, man
I play on a world with tinkers constructs, the grave stone addon, and the essentials one. They are nice, but they definitely need more refining to be top tier in my eyes
I like the pricing. The main thing woth add-ons is they are cross play whivh regular mods are. Also only one person actually needs to own the add-on for everyone in the server to be able to play it. So while some might not like paying for it. It is by far the best method to play mods cross play
The portable crafting table should just give you access to the 9x9 recipe interface as long as it's in your inventory. You shouldn't have to place it down at all. This should also be a late-game addition to vanilla since it would help massively with mining (turning ore to blocks without placing a table down every time).
Do keep in mind (except for console edition), you don't HAVE to play for mods. You can still download them from the Internet and put them into your game. The only difference is that no one ever made those because why do it for bedrock when you can do it on Java. All the marketplace stuff was make an incentive for creators to make mods for bedrock because they can actually get paid. Of course, that comes with it's own downsides of its own. And you know, you have to pay money. But that's why they contained it into a small marketplace section o nthe main menu that you never have to interact with if you don't want to. It's monetized, but not in a way that's actually intrusive, which makes it a neutral feature, unlike 90% of other monetized games these days. In my eyes, the marketplace is perfectly fine. If it's something you want, then good for you. Otherwise, it lets other players be, and that's okay too. Then again, that's my opinion. So if you disagree, feel free to explain yours as well.
So Microsoft basically steals 70% of income from marketplace, so you pay a lot, but creators get barely anything and in case of Tinker's Construct there is literally better ports of original mod on the internet than this garbage from the marketplace. Also there is so little useful addons on the marketplace and quality is so low that it isn't really worth the money. God I would pay for something like Create on Java, but not for a ton of cheap furniture addons that can't even make this furniture usable or just A BLOCK. I pay for furniture addon and get clock-entity!? This must be a joke. And accessibility of marketplace for creators is just not existent, you can't just go and post your work you have to complete some stupid verification process and tons of moderation and it doesn't even moderate anything properly because there is still stolen IP on the marketplaces. Idea is great, implementation is awful
The marketplace is actually in a horrible state, from copyright to actually getting original ideas from the paid content. With the new mods, it’s gotten better but it’s nothing good. You also didn’t mention the fact that in order to download mods from another site, you have to have a PC or Pocket Edition and PAY for realms to play on anything but PC and PE. That’s still making people pay for mods and it’s scummy as hell when considering 2 of the platforms can’t even get stuff for free. A good idea but Mojang really hasn’t managed it well. Idm paying for things either, I got BDcraft as it’s my favorite texture pack but that’s the only thing I’ve bought because everything else is either too expensive or just straight up a scam.
I love Tinker's Construct from Java, but it's a mod I don't really use any more as I find myself ignoring allot of gear from other mods because Tinker's stuff is just better. Fantastic mod but I wanted to explore what other mods had to offer
Essentials is the Jack of all trades master of none the vein miner treecapitator and grave stone where done better in other add ons already available the grave stone one being free and most of everything else was too expensive for what it did didn't work properly with just the portable end chest and crafting table being genuinely good IMO

the essentials addon's ore scanner only work when your near the ores that are listed on the scanner and it will tell you how many ores are in the vein before you mine it

All three of these are add ons that I'm interested in so it's good to see a review. Marketplace ratings aren't much to go on, though a very low rated one often indicates that there are seriously broken elements in it. Reviews like this gives me an idea of what the add on does and how it works, so even if the reviewer doesn't like it, I still get an informed opinion about it. Toycat mentioned Ecko's reviews so I think it's helpful to watch both if you're interested in an add on to get two different perspectives. Ecko has reviews for all three of these, but I haven't gotten around to watching the Tinker review yet.
Hey I'm trying to find an old Minecraft TH-camr I used to watch. I can't remember if it is ibxtoycat, but it rings a bell. However I can't find the old world lets plays. His voice sounds familiar. It's not Stampy, but very similar!
That's just how add-ons are, they're hugely limited to tools already present in game, that makes it hard to copy Java mods that change the code of the game.

Mister cat, I accidently bought that editor add on the other day after given the free 500 coins, didn't mean to, which is what this is all about anyways...I accidentally selected the coin purchase option when trying to hit the search one or whatever but because of how janky the browsing is on console sometimes, and the marketplace getting an update of something bc that box in middle of screen popped up did a loading animation then proceeded to process the coin purchase of the editor. Tl;Dr I accidentally got the editor add on bc there is no "are you sure you want to purchase this" safety check when buying anything off marketplace (with coins.). Am I only one that thinks that should change/that this ish has happened to?
Not to me also the same thing happened to me I was looking at something and I accidentally gave it to buy and when I realized it discounted the coins and I didn't want to buy anything, and it was then that I thought I shouldn't this have a purchase verification to avoid these mistakes Accidentally.

Well as a console player, I brought it just to try it out and the mods(?) are a bit clunky but they been patching stuff here and there and I’m saving for a PC so I won’t probably buy more since Java it’s free and better. But the recent malware that was discovered inside some mods makes me anxious to download anything from websites that not supported by Microsoft or etc when I get a PC.
Just a question, why do chunk borders matter? Like I hear a lot about building in chunk borders & doing certain things in chunks? Just hear about it a lot & was wondering why they are useful?
Love that the last one had chunk borders. It's the only reason I'm considering buying it. I already have a much better tree chopper add on but chunk borders is huge for us on console. Now if only they would do an add on similar to lightmatica. 😫 Or something for connected textures
The fake blocks are so you can make a secret entrance to a secret base. Make a wall and then switch out a couple blocks for fake blocks and you can enter and exit the room without an obvious door*. I think it mentions that in the Add-on description.
tinkers construct isn't bad u just have to learn it.. it takes a bit but after a while u will understand and it will be fun/good. it is VERY important to read the books.
Tinkers gets really confusing at times you really do have to read the books for how to craft stuff and what certain things do like the alloys and stuff it really is easier to just start a new worl with it and figure it out

@@White_Wookey I think addons in most cases doesn't disable achievements on existing worlds, but experimental settings that are required for some of them do, however I think that there is no addon on the marketplace that requires these. But paying for addon for it to disable achievements in a new world is still looks like cash grab. I don't know why is there even a difference between enabling it on creation or after, Bedrock is so broken

That's a bug caused by having the holiday creator experimental feature on, they're working on fixing it but haven't figured it out just yet

Worldbuilder has saved me so much time in my world. And fixing mistakes is incredibly easy. Worth the price imo.

Only switch to bedrock if you can use ray tracing on bedrock. Or if you can't use mods on java. Bedrock makes installing mods easier (there's free ones on mcpedl) and is more optimized without the need for sodium

i wouldnt say "let me review these things and see if its worth your money" and then be biased about the add on just because YOU dont like it and cause people who watch your ideos to not even pay attention to it even if they might like it themselves. You could make a bone farm out of a regular mob grinder with the undead effect, free bones and arrows, you think too narrowly about these kinds of things, man
I play on a world with tinkers constructs, the grave stone addon, and the essentials one. They are nice, but they definitely need more refining to be top tier in my eyes
You have to start tinkers construct in a new world to truly love it, the smelting aspect is top tier, the extra tools are definitely awesome too.

I like the pricing. The main thing woth add-ons is they are cross play whivh regular mods are.
Also only one person actually needs to own the add-on for everyone in the server to be able to play it.
So while some might not like paying for it. It is by far the best method to play mods cross play
The portable crafting table should just give you access to the 9x9 recipe interface as long as it's in your inventory. You shouldn't have to place it down at all. This should also be a late-game addition to vanilla since it would help massively with mining (turning ore to blocks without placing a table down every time).
Does the ore scanner scan for ancient debris? If ir does thats super bennificial
Do keep in mind (except for console edition), you don't HAVE to play for mods. You can still download them from the Internet and put them into your game. The only difference is that no one ever made those because why do it for bedrock when you can do it on Java. All the marketplace stuff was make an incentive for creators to make mods for bedrock because they can actually get paid. Of course, that comes with it's own downsides of its own. And you know, you have to pay money. But that's why they contained it into a small marketplace section o nthe main menu that you never have to interact with if you don't want to. It's monetized, but not in a way that's actually intrusive, which makes it a neutral feature, unlike 90% of other monetized games these days. In my eyes, the marketplace is perfectly fine. If it's something you want, then good for you. Otherwise, it lets other players be, and that's okay too.
Then again, that's my opinion. So if you disagree, feel free to explain yours as well.
So Microsoft basically steals 70% of income from marketplace, so you pay a lot, but creators get barely anything and in case of Tinker's Construct there is literally better ports of original mod on the internet than this garbage from the marketplace.
Also there is so little useful addons on the marketplace and quality is so low that it isn't really worth the money. God I would pay for something like Create on Java, but not for a ton of cheap furniture addons that can't even make this furniture usable or just A BLOCK. I pay for furniture addon and get clock-entity!? This must be a joke.
And accessibility of marketplace for creators is just not existent, you can't just go and post your work you have to complete some stupid verification process and tons of moderation and it doesn't even moderate anything properly because there is still stolen IP on the marketplaces.
Idea is great, implementation is awful
The marketplace is actually in a horrible state, from copyright to actually getting original ideas from the paid content.
With the new mods, it’s gotten better but it’s nothing good. You also didn’t mention the fact that in order to download mods from another site, you have to have a PC or Pocket Edition and PAY for realms to play on anything but PC and PE. That’s still making people pay for mods and it’s scummy as hell when considering 2 of the platforms can’t even get stuff for free.
A good idea but Mojang really hasn’t managed it well. Idm paying for things either, I got BDcraft as it’s my favorite texture pack but that’s the only thing I’ve bought because everything else is either too expensive or just straight up a scam.

I love Tinker's Construct from Java, but it's a mod I don't really use any more as I find myself ignoring allot of gear from other mods because Tinker's stuff is just better. Fantastic mod but I wanted to explore what other mods had to offer

Essentials is the Jack of all trades master of none the vein miner treecapitator and grave stone where done better in other add ons already available the grave stone one being free and most of everything else was too expensive for what it did didn't work properly with just the portable end chest and crafting table being genuinely good IMO

All three of these are add ons that I'm interested in so it's good to see a review. Marketplace ratings aren't much to go on, though a very low rated one often indicates that there are seriously broken elements in it. Reviews like this gives me an idea of what the add on does and how it works, so even if the reviewer doesn't like it, I still get an informed opinion about it.
Toycat mentioned Ecko's reviews so I think it's helpful to watch both if you're interested in an add on to get two different perspectives. Ecko has reviews for all three of these, but I haven't gotten around to watching the Tinker review yet.

That's just how add-ons are, they're hugely limited to tools already present in game, that makes it hard to copy Java mods that change the code of the game.
Additionallly, Mojang limits what they can do and while it seems they are loosing them a bit, this also plays a factor into these Addons

Mister cat, I accidently bought that editor add on the other day after given the free 500 coins, didn't mean to, which is what this is all about anyways...I accidentally selected the coin purchase option when trying to hit the search one or whatever but because of how janky the browsing is on console sometimes, and the marketplace getting an update of something bc that box in middle of screen popped up did a loading animation then proceeded to process the coin purchase of the editor.
Tl;Dr I accidentally got the editor add on bc there is no "are you sure you want to purchase this" safety check when buying anything off marketplace (with coins.). Am I only one that thinks that should change/that this ish has happened to?
Not to me also the same thing happened to me I was looking at something and I accidentally gave it to buy and when I realized it discounted the coins and I didn't want to buy anything, and it was then that I thought I shouldn't this have a purchase verification to avoid these mistakes Accidentally.

Well as a console player, I brought it just to try it out and the mods(?) are a bit clunky but they been patching stuff here and there and I’m saving for a PC so I won’t probably buy more since Java it’s free and better. But the recent malware that was discovered inside some mods makes me anxious to download anything from websites that not supported by Microsoft or etc when I get a PC.

The fake blocks are so you can make a secret entrance to a secret base. Make a wall and then switch out a couple blocks for fake blocks and you can enter and exit the room without an obvious door*. I think it mentions that in the Add-on description.
tinkers construct isn't bad u just have to learn it.. it takes a bit but after a while u will understand and it will be fun/good.
it is VERY important to read the books.
Crazy to me that Microsoft cant see the free mods are why java is so big. If they just add mod support for bedrock it would be so much better.

@@White_Wookey I think addons in most cases doesn't disable achievements on existing worlds, but experimental settings that are required for some of them do, however I think that there is no addon on the marketplace that requires these.
But paying for addon for it to disable achievements in a new world is still looks like cash grab. I don't know why is there even a difference between enabling it on creation or after, Bedrock is so broken
