The concept of the giant magical prison inside of a dead God's skull run by necromancers being a resort hotel for criminals is a really hilarious concept, I think its cool you came up with it.

Honestly this take on Necromancy, wraiths, liches, etc is very creative. I love when people subvert what many assume to be the sort of evil scourge of a fantasy world. Really well done thematically and of course the building is amazing. But at this point I don't think anyone's surprised with how crazy your past builds for this world have been.
I'm OBSESSED with this necromancy lore. Necromancers with a huge reverence for life is one of those counterintuitive ideas that makes so much sense when you think about it. I love it when things that are typically dark and spooky or evil-coded are actually much more benevolent under the surface than was assumed. The backstory that they imprisoned God so long that the god died and they used its skull as a castle is SO badass, and such a good take on the stereotypical evil lair. I also love how the themes of the castle itself are reflected in the surrounding environment. It's so clear how much thought and intelligence and care goes into all this worldbuilding, and the swamp and village turned out AMAZING. These videos are so fun and creative, every one of them is a treat.
Lore idea. About the trees; how about calling them Dead-Man Graves (mangraves for short) and they have a myth about them sprouting from the graves of people not given a proper burial. Or how about Soul Catcher Pines and stories are told about how they a guardians of the souls of the wrongly executed. Or maybe both as I am a fan of fantasy settings with polymyths as opposed to monomyths.
I gotta say, i recreated these stone pillars from this video and they are one of the hardest things ive ever recreated. The sheer amount of different blocks used on the shading is monstrous. You are exceptionally talented to be able to come up with that
Another fun fact about the cypress tree that makes it fit even more into this build is that in some spiritualities/religions, it's actually got the symbolism of death and the cycle of life, so it's definitely awesome that you chose them to base your trees off of.
You know what would be interesting, having a very large group of people do a larp in this environment with the lord you set up. It would be so interesting to see the world come alive not just in building but in population

Necromancy is a type of dark fantasy which i have strangely not encountered as often while reading books or watching fictional movies, its scary, creative and the fact that they revere life and will not resort to taking one without the big reason is kind of like a paradox which is entangling me. You really inspire me; I'm actually writing a book at the moment too and your lore gives me so many ideas to add to my own but i am not brave enough to build these grand builds in minecraft, you are brave tbh. Hello Shovel, I am an avid fan of your videos and I wanted to help you in accordance with the lore and history of your intricate fantasy world. I have prepared a massive lore idea that might help you a lot in creating your world. I have also been writing a giant fantasy world so I may or may not know how it feels to be faced with such a colossal task, so I am here to help. Let's begin: So Imagine something like an... Opposite dimension, what I mean is like a dimension not found in your world that is evil, and is a giant wasteland, something like an underworld but not really. |Description| •So here is my idea. A giant nether-like landscape where the ground is just a barren landscape of dark looking stone, a place of everlasting heat and darkness and evil, the waters are of nothing but blood and lava, I call it Malevoria or "Pit of Doom". •This place is ruled by the evil god Vargoirn(god of terror) (Var-Goy-Rurn), he looks filfthy, a head of a demon with three eyes, the middle eye is white while the other two are red, he has four horns (you decide where to put them), a floating Upper Body (he has no lower body), he also has 6 arms, two of which are massive spiritual looking skeleton arms. His skin color is read and he is very buff, he also has two skeleton heads on his shoulders as just a fashion choice of his, he is also not wearing a shirt since... Well idk. Well everything else is up to you. •He has a pet called Vainar, a wyvern with scales tougher than obsidian and fiery orange/red eyes that can burn anyone that looks directly unto it, he has two horns that have the color of a bone block and his tale can wrap around a building indicating his massive size. •Malevoria is a seperate dimension located outside of Etheria which can only be accessed through rigorous rituals or places where even the gods fear to go to, or unknown places with eerie vibes or portals that were lost in time. |Society| •In Malevoria, there is a hierarchy based on how powerful you are(5), which are the ghouls, beasts, demons, reapers, and Destructors. The ghouls are just basic citizens of Malevoria, they consist of power stronger than ordinary groups of humans (about a group of 5-10) but they are not that strong in Malevoria. Beasts can destroy entire camps of people (about 15-30 people). Demons can destroy entire buildings of people (about 50-100 people). Reapers can destroy multiple buildings or even cities of people (500-2000 people). And Destructors, only consisting of 7 members can destroy about 5 nations max (idk anymore). And if you are a little confused, I meant by the amount they can destroy, they can do all those destruction each. •The Destructors are quite literally, the right hand men of Vargoirn, they live in the castle of Vargoirn called The Twisted Crown(the castle is located in the highest peak called mount void), and they each represent a deadly sin (You can make their names or I can comment extra to write them). So the reapers, they live in manors and mansions up in the mountains. The demons live in middle class houses near the volcanos or halfway through mountains where the reapers live. Beasts live in small houses below the mountains and near Lava lakes. And finally, the ghouls live in caves, yeah, just in caves. |Lore and History| So the main part of the history is that in the days of creation, the god mightiest of them all Aiavan sought to enslave the gods for his own entertainment causing him to be basically ganged up on, and thrown in Malevoria along with his angel now turned ghoul Minions. He introduced evil to the hearts of men especially to the Alphas which caused them to Exterminate the Omegas. He also created the beasts of the land and introduced war to men. But his most evil deed is the introduction of dark magic, a magic never before seen in Etheria which destroyed the balance of magic due to its formidable power. Why hasn't dark magic been introduced yet you may ask? Well it is simple, the gods have agreed to not introduce this filfth to man and to keep it a secret for it will only cause war and despair and people will try to dominate each other. Yeah, so that is it... Pls read and try to consider this, my head and hands hurt, I have been typing for 5 hours now, Welp, if I need to give more lore, I will be glad to.
Please let your hands and eyes rest, that it to long to be writing for- also amazing I personally suggested using old Norse for the magic runes bc that way a scavenger hunt could be set up, whether its just a joke or for something bigger....
Amazing work, guy! The amount of detail put into this is downright insane. Honestly, couldn’t be more impressed. The only ‘issue' I have is just a matter of personal taste in color palette. That green stained glass isn’t for me, but holy crap is the design awesome. 10/10 work. Good stuff.
Snerpies secret pickle recipe: Pickles recipe: 4 cups of water 2 cups of vinegar 1/4 cup salt 1/4 cup sugar 6 gloves of garlic 2 tablespoons of dillseeds 2 tablespoons red pepper flakes with fresh drill sprigs. - Thank me later.
I've never played Minecraft and I loved this video. The lore presentation is amazing. The scope of the project is genuinely impressive. Great work all around.
I like the idea that the trees you made were some kind of artificial breed made by the scientists, in the same way that they make chimera, combining the bald cypress and mangrove for something that fits aesthetically, as well as being really durable against the elements due to their more twisty and deep-rooted nature
Lore idea: The Cave Dwellers (I don’t know what to call them). They live in deep caves, but need light to survive. They have a daily meeting for an hour where they sit in the sun, under the sunroof of their giant castle, housed under deep, dark caves
@@Woodster-k9448 what a helpful comment talking about exactly what was related and makes tons of sense, because we were discussing modding ideas and not lore
dude. that eye idea is insane. I am genuinely mindblown by that like everything you've built is incredible but that eye just cemented you as such a creative artist
it would have taken me YEARS to find out cauldrons blend in with deepslate! That's GENIUS! I found it out at 6:49 and the more he uses cauldrons the more I'm blown away!
im relatively new here. IM OBSESSED with the lore. i could watch this for hours. the talent from you, juno, rale, matt, and taco is insane. the storytelling was my favorite tho. sign me up
I think there should be an underwater city where everyone is sworn to secrecy and there are wizards who team up with the aqua faction you made in your last video and they stop filtering the engine to make it explode
I liked this a lot. I wonder what their relationship with mythology and storytelling is like. Why detail the history of your people if everyone’s functionally immortal? How does your mythos change when you yourself are mythologized? Also, if life is so sacred to these people, and death is closely monitored, are births monitored too? Can they even reproduce?
I hate that TH-cam isn't recommending me minecraft content anymore. You, Mogswamp, and Tommyinnit are the ones I attempt to keep up with alongside everything else I watch. Keep up the good work!! :)
This is incredible! The entire time I was watching this i kept thinking of how i could write characters to live and be apart of these areas! Your builds are incredible keep up the good work!
One of my favorite tricks is using void air blocks and barrier blocks to make things like lava and water flow in ways that actively defy the laws of physics. You should consider playing around with that mechanic in one of your next builds, it might be fun.
this is extremely clever, this is the first time I've watched something like this and I can understand how long it must take to understand the fundamentals of the server and building its self, you have my props mate very well done
Sick video! Anyway heres a lore idea: There is a cult of escapees from the prison that team up to try take over the world, starting in on of thr cities you have built or will build. They have a headquarters somewhere in a sewer system where therr arr about 20 or 30 members practicing the dark arts and arcane magic. They have discovered a corruption spell that spreads an organic material that strengthens the escapees powers when around it, aiding them in pillaging villages and towns. This was just a little lore idea I thought of on the spot. It took inspiration from the apocalyptic book im writing.
I think it's your best video. The balance between storytelling, building moments and funny interactions is perfect. I was just sad that the moment you show the final build was that short ahah. Keep on the good work, I can't wait to access your universe on a dedicated server !
Idea for the next construction. It would be very nice to see a battlefield or urban settlements destroyed by a war hundreds/thousands of years ago, between ancient civilizations that no longer exist and perhaps see what remains of their cities
i think you are one of the most intelligent content creators that i ever watched, in a general mode. Everything you did was one level above. congrats man
As a massive fan of creative uses of necromancy this build is one of the most beautiful we've seen! However throughout the whole video all we could think is... Have you heard of axiom?
Here's an idea for a mystical forest! Imagine a massive forest covered in fog that vends off unwanted people and monsters. If you do find your way through the fog there are multiple trees have portals leading to a hidden city covered on trees. No sunlight reaches the city, so all the light comes from luminescent mushrooms and vines etc.. I'd love to see something like that!
The amount of dedication placed into this project was insane. I might have watched this two months later, but that doesn’t mean my appreciation for the creativity is any less. Everything from the build to the lore is incredible. A splendid job. 👏
Here's a lore idea: A Volcanic Fortress that was made by Dwarves in the north, they used the heat of the volcano to forge weaponry from its fiery breath. They started to worship the mountain and called it "Ignis Deitas" or Fire Deity. One day the Volcano grew tired of the dwarves and created a sword of glittering metal like never seen, no dwarf would be able to resist. The Legendary Sword named: "Ferracaloris" One dwarf named Amali took the sword and cursed his people, the dwarves became dark ignus spirits and could never leave the hot safety of the mountain, lest they flicker out. Amali was cursed differently. Whilst his brethren lost themselves, he regained everything, all his memories. The power of the blade made him strong and bigger than the tallest giants, but he was sealed within stone with only his eyes spared to see the aftermath of his failure. Amali, cursed to sit on an obsidian throne, frozen in stone with the Ferracaloris bonded to his hand, forever. The fortress can be an abandoned city covered in ash and haunted by dark spirits and maybe mobs like Wither Skeletons, Ghasts and other spectral enemies. Outside the volcano can be a dwarf town that stayed away from the demonic mount, it is bustling with many ores to trade. Maybe they use some steam engines with their knowledge of temperature and heat. The Dwarves of the north never used magic but were able to build technology to make life easier, this is also a result of their fear of the evil magic of the Ignis Deitas. I Hope you see this; I LOVE your story series and some of the builds inspired my own novel, and I would love to give a hand in some future building adventures
he already did something like this in one of his videos about a forge. The video's called "building in creative mode is "Easy"". It's a bit of a different idea but there are similarities.
Thank you for adding a little bit of comedy throughout the video and lore also. Makes it very interesting to watch. Wish I had the patience to do builds like this
Dude's masquerading and utilizing his full art prowess to the fullest in Minecraft and producing cool ass videos in YT. Your concepts breed concepts within them - that's fucking amazing!
LORE IDEA: I think there should add more God Remains scattered in the world i can see the factions of the world trying to fight over it, like a Eyeball that was turned into a base where a faction can see into a vague future.
I got this as a random recommendation this morning, and I just wanna say that this is a phenomenal piece. You had my attention from the thumbnail alone, and seeing it all come together just drew me in more and more. I also really wanted to compliment the worldbuilding. Writing has been my creative outlet/passion/hobby/etc for over 15 years now, and while I mainly stick with fan-work, I can say with confidence that this would be an excellent setting for a fantasy story. I can already picture a troubled prisoner being rescued from death-row, only to find a purpose in life as a magi-scientist. Great stuff!
If u want to name the trees u made something it could be Nercos Cypress the way these trees got these names is from the people of Mirewood Village putting their dead kin into the trees adding a more spooky and eerie feel to the swamp. While also providing the trees with nutrients and could even give people who aren't residents of the swamp a semi level of paranoia. This will be fueled by the occasional skulls they could be found in the murky waters and trees as this would be a sacred ritual related to the village and only the villagers would ever know about this. Tho this is just me
being able to accurately and beautifully recreate your fantasy setting in an interactable medium like minecraft feels like any world-builder's dream come true!! i can't imagine being able to walk around in the capital city of my friend's d&d campaign (which is, ironically, built out of the bones of an ancient messenger goddess.) or any of the other cities on our map. this is incredible!!!
Just discovered your channel and I am blown away. Your concepts and builds are incredible. This is a world I just want to walk around in so badly. I think you should add more slow flyover footage at the end! I could definitely look at the final build longer.
I like the unique take on the necromancer class. Instead of just being another bad guy faction tampering with the nature of life and death, it's a race of beings that respect and value them as they have a better understanding of it and are revered for their immense knowledge and power by the other factions. And the fact that they value life so much that they don't go around conquering and killing is a great explanation as to why they don't just dominate the world with their immense abilities. Out of all the factions in the world, they seem to be the most pleasant so far.
Hi,Shovel! I have an idea for a build in the space/abyss mesa. Hope it could inspire you. The City of Renol was once a mesmerising location with large quartz structures towering above the many intertwining bridges conecting them, sat in the wasteland behind the iris of The Dark Storm in the middle of the area. The city was much more advanced compared to all of the other setlements in the world, being able to draw strange celestial power from the storm and from the magnetic field around it. It was then that a strange being saw how advanced the city was and decided that it knew too much. In the folowing years, pitch black holes began apearing everywere in the city and looking up at the sky turned people to nothingness. The last things heard from them, sent to the minds of each life of the world were agonising screams. No sane being dares to go near the city, for the screams are loud there. The city, now barely seen in the dark sky is ruined, black, standing in place and time like a statue in a picture, the souls still wailing and scretching in fear, stuck in their portrait of nothing.
Thank you, Shovel! I love your chanel and your videos and I realy hope that I could inspire you and that you like my suggestion. Have a great day,Shovel!
Lore idea what about a small normal looking town on the surface but theirs a giant underground city beneath it where a rebellion against the Alphas lyes in wait for the perfect opportunity
I love how instead of making them frequent killers because they are capable of using those they kill, you made them respect death. I think it makes a lot more sense than the usual, as who else would better understand death and the afterlife than those who interact with it daily?
We don't even need to say how mindblowing and beautiful the builds are, but I'd like to take a moment to also appreciate the nice value of the narration, entertaining presentation, and production quality . In short :much ❤, and much jawdrop

|Society|
•In Malevoria, there is a hierarchy based on how powerful you are(5), which are the ghouls, beasts, demons, reapers, and Destructors.
|Lore and History|
So the main part of the history is that in the days of creation, the god mightiest of them all Aiavan sought to enslave the gods for his own entertainment causing him to be basically ganged up on, and thrown in Malevoria along with his angel now turned ghoul Minions.
HOLYYYY THATS LONG
Bro, this is sick! as a fellow "mega fantasy world" writer i can see the love you've put into this.
i love your building stile so i love your veduwe
Please let your hands and eyes rest, that it to long to be writing for- also amazing I personally suggested using old Norse for the magic runes bc that way a scavenger hunt could be set up, whether its just a joke or for something bigger....
Yes just yes
Amazing work, guy! The amount of detail put into this is downright insane. Honestly, couldn’t be more impressed. The only ‘issue' I have is just a matter of personal taste in color palette.
That green stained glass isn’t for me, but holy crap is the design awesome.
10/10 work. Good stuff.

They have a daily meeting for an hour where they sit in the sun, under the sunroof of their giant castle, housed under deep, dark caves
if they need light to survive, why do they live in deep caves-?
There already is a cave dweller.
That’s already a mod.
@@SonnetsonTheHorizon cuz that’s their environment. idk it’s just some idea just like dolphins. They live in the water but need air

Man I love that you add a story behind each of your builds. It defines your art, gives more meaning to it.
im relatively new here. IM OBSESSED with the lore. i could watch this for hours. the talent from you, juno, rale, matt, and taco is insane. the storytelling was my favorite tho. sign me up
"I crashed the server ... JOSH" is relatable. :D
I think there should be an underwater city where everyone is sworn to secrecy and there are wizards who team up with the aqua faction you made in your last video and they stop filtering the engine to make it explode
7:39 caught me off guard
I liked this a lot. I wonder what their relationship with mythology and storytelling is like. Why detail the history of your people if everyone’s functionally immortal? How does your mythos change when you yourself are mythologized? Also, if life is so sacred to these people, and death is closely monitored, are births monitored too? Can they even reproduce?
Great job. The music and jokes and commentary all fit seamlessly together. And thats just the editing! The build was incredible!
I hate that TH-cam isn't recommending me minecraft content anymore. You, Mogswamp, and Tommyinnit are the ones I attempt to keep up with alongside everything else I watch. Keep up the good work!! :)
This man needs to stop raising the editing standards! Us peasants can’t keep up!
Protag??!??!?! Your my favorite TH-camr!! Keep up the good work!!
When the world needed him the most, he came back
This is incredible!
You’ve gotten way better at pacing yourself and not just locking on one thing at a time so you don’t burn yourself out. Great stuff!
this is extremely clever, this is the first time I've watched something like this and I can understand how long it must take to understand the fundamentals of the server and building its self, you have my props mate very well done
Are you ok? I haven’t even spent that much time in building world in total and your like: „Is this enough for 1 build?“
I think it's your best video. The balance between storytelling, building moments and funny interactions is perfect. I was just sad that the moment you show the final build was that short ahah. Keep on the good work, I can't wait to access your universe on a dedicated server !
THE THUMBNAIL IS SICK LOVE U SHOVEL. Youre the reason i started to build again
Axiom... that sounds familiar...
Edit: Oh yeah, that minecraft mod. Right.
Matt: "don't gaslight me"

Here's an idea for a mystical forest! Imagine a massive forest covered in fog that vends off unwanted people and monsters. If you do find your way through the fog there are multiple trees have portals leading to a hidden city covered on trees. No sunlight reaches the city, so all the light comes from luminescent mushrooms and vines etc.. I'd love to see something like that!
I'd love to see more of the ,, Fleefolk". Like the beehive thing or the flying turtle. I absolutely love this skull prison

The amount of dedication placed into this project was insane. I might have watched this two months later, but that doesn’t mean my appreciation for the creativity is any less. Everything from the build to the lore is incredible. A splendid job. 👏
Probably the most awesome build I’ve gotten to watch and with such pristine editing? Dude you deserve more for this, props man 👏
Thanks so much! A lot of work went into this so I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Man I love these builds

LORE IDEA: I think there should add more God Remains scattered in the world i can see the factions of the world trying to fight over it, like a Eyeball that was turned into a base where a faction can see into a vague future.
This would go off the charts if shovel started playing this with his friends after it is conpleted
Great stuff!
imagine building all of this in survival 💀
No thanks

Maybe it would be cool to have a submerged civilisation, a hub for mining/ trade connecting multiple allied nations.
Bro thats what TrixyBlocks did!
The city, now barely seen in the dark sky is ruined, black, standing in place and time like a statue in a picture, the souls still wailing and scretching in fear, stuck in their portrait of nothing.
yap yap i aint reading all that and womp womp
I do not heed to you reading it, but to Shovel to try to inspire him with the posible location in the abyss mesa.
Thank you, Shovel! I love your chanel and your videos and I realy hope that I could inspire you and that you like my suggestion. Have a great day,Shovel!

I love how instead of making them frequent killers because they are capable of using those they kill, you made them respect death. I think it makes a lot more sense than the usual, as who else would better understand death and the afterlife than those who interact with it daily?
