The rocks in the water feeder is genius! Thanks!
You are most welcome! It's literally a life saver :)
What a great idea with the laser! Thank you for the video.
You're welcome! I'd love to see if you give it a try :)
Great video. The Boy candled his eggs this morning. Never thought of a laser pointer for chickens lol We may have to try this on some older birds just for fun. Thanks for all the videos! Keep on pushing
They LOVE the laser pointer of the thermometer! Imma hop over to the Struggler's Farm and check out your candling :)
After you transferred these chicks to the brooder, did any others hatch afterwards (even with the humidity drop from it being opened)?
I now do dry hatch and once they pip, I move them to a hatching incubator with 50& humidity and I have much better results now. This keeps the humidity from being an issue, ever, with chicks hatching at different rates over the course of a few days. I don't recall if I had issues with moving chicks out at this point in time, sorry!
Do you use cheesecloth in the bottom when they are in lockdown and hatching or just the plastic grate the brooder has in it? Thanks
Hi! My incubator has a plastic grate and with the one I have now, they don't get stuck or fall through like my last incubator. But that's a great idea for anyone that has gaps they need to fill to keep babies from getting hurt.
