      Thank you so much! We LOVE Brinsea incubators - but filming chicks hatching with fans running inside curved reflective surfaces is quite the challenge!

    What a Great video! Love your accent, love your garden, and the superb way you explain and talk, thankyou for that 👏
    I am on the look out for a new incubator, and you may just have talked me into a brinsea 🙌 such a good point you told as to get a bigger one than you think you need reffering to the space inside when they hatch😄
    Am locted in Norway, and in the process of starting up again with kochin bantams 😊

    • @EnglishCountryLife
      @EnglishCountryLife  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's lovely. For bantams you use the larger cradles. There's a central divider that means each cradle takes a double row of small eggs

      If you have any questions please ask 😉

    We’ve found the same with the post hatch fluff - but love love love the incubator other than that ❤

      It's not that big a deal really, just a minor irritation 🙂. We've got 24 hatching in there today - it's very sweet & they have plenty of room 🙂

    Hi, thank you very much for your video. I have 2 questions about the 56 EX. Can you tell me if there is an alternative for the evaporation blocks? And can you tell me the diameter for the water hose? Pump hose? I think 2x3 or 3x4 mm?
    Many thanks for your help
    Greetings Toni

      Hi! The evaporation blocks can be seen here
      englishcountrylife.com/product/evaporating-blocks-for-ovation-56-ex/
      you could use corrugated cardboard etc. cut to size. It need to be something with a large surface area to speed up evaporation.
      The water hose is 2.5mm silicone
      englishcountrylife.com/product/small-2-5mm-diameter-silicone-tubing-for-humidity-pump-3m/
      Hope that helps

      Thanks for your quick reply, great!
      The 2.5mm of the silicone tube - is that the inner dimension or the outer dimension? I've read elsewhere that you should use a silicone hose with an inner diameter of 2mm and an outer diameter of 3mm. Presumably it is just a bit more difficult to fit the silicone hose if it only has an inner diameter of 2mm.
      The evaporation blocks are currently not available in Germany. You can't order them anywhere. That is also the reason why I am looking for an alternative.
      Many thanks for your help
      Greetings Toni

      I'm not certain on the tubing sorry, Brinsea can probably tell you! If you want me to I can look into getting these items posted to Germany?

    I’m looking at the Brinsea maxi 24ex model and the Brinsea 28 ex ovation model. They are about the same price and hold about the same amount of eggs. I’ve watched both of your videos. Do you recommend one model over the other? Is the dome one easier for a beginner?

    • @EnglishCountryLife
      @EnglishCountryLife  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi! They are both excellent models for the beginner. The disc turning on the Maxi 24 does require careful placement and checking of the eggs to ensure that they are turning well. The Ovation uses cradle turning which makes the turning more certain. The view of the hatching eggs is better on the Maxi 24 and it is substantially cheaper - enough to fund a good brooder and candler. We now sell both models through our shop. If it would help, I can set up both models for you and demonstrate the difference on a private video conference. If that would help, drop us a note on www.Englishcountrylife.com (use the contact us button) & we can arrange that for you.
