I just saw you on Creekside video (which I have been watching for awhile now). After watching the Creekside video I then watched your companion video. Enjoyed both of them very much. I really loved the GENTLE way the chickens were moved to their new coop. I love watching youtube videos of people's journeys in homesteading. I plan to do go back and do some catching up on your journey. Good luck with your future journey going forward.
i never had leg issues. splayed legs is because of the bottom usually. put silicone shelf l,liner in it so they have some grip. BUT I will never use a egg roller. The commercial hatcheries use tilt for a reason. for cleaning , now that its used, clean it well and then clean with alcohol. after that paint it with exterior latex. let it dry then it will just rinse out . I also never ever even consider adding water. Dry hatch is the way to go.

my mom and I came from Creekside this morning too & have been taking in some of this journey during a rainy Saturday as well!
Thank you Linda! So sweet of you. Jenny is gentle with everything she touches- it all blooms and grows and thrives with her!!!

All that said, I will never buy another. Ill get Maticoopx its only 30 eggs but its fine
I have this incubator and you said you hand turn the eggs. How often do you turn them? Do you twist them? Do you turn upside down? What do I do. ;)
I turned them twice a day, a 180 twist. Leave the fat side of the egg up, the air sack needs to be on the top ☺️
How do you turn the eggs? I am getting ready to use one of these. My bad, I just saw your first comment.
😊
