    • @LumnahAcres
      @LumnahAcres  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Susan Beaulieu yes it is. Olivia was down stairs checking on the chicks hatch at 6:00 am Sunday morning. It was great to see her excitement.

      Yes, forgive me! It is my medical training in a human nursery that kicked in! Chicks are so much stronger than babies. Sorry!

    • @LumnahAcres
      @LumnahAcres  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nothing to be sorry about. You were thinking about the chicks.

    You shouldn't be opening the incubator until the entire hatch is complete... you might of compromised the remaining eggs now.

    • @LumnahAcres
      @LumnahAcres  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The first chicks were in their for 24 hours, and they were running out of room.

    • @emmafoley1541
      @emmafoley1541 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lumnah Acres they can stay in the incubator for up to 2 days because the yolk they absorb right before hatching provides them with food. I would just keep a close eye on the other eggs, especially the ones that were pipped... very likely shrink wrapped and need assistance to get out at this point.

    • @scattervanshine4978
      @scattervanshine4978 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      emma foley it wasn't open that long...no longer than it would take a momma hen to get something to eat

    • @emmafoley1541
      @emmafoley1541 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Scatter Vanshine the hens don't leave the nest or eat once they enter the lock down stage of hatching. Did the rest of the chicks make it out okay??
