Love the look but they need to step it up for the Avenir trim. The Avenir should have a slightly larger engine, rear vents, passenger side power seat adjustments, and rear armrest. Sold at about 32k.
I own a 2022 Buick Encore GX with the same 1.2 L 3 cylinder . The reason why the cabin is quieter , is because of Quiet cabin technology that they’ve put in all newer Buick models . I really have no issues with the power, driving at normal highway speed ,but I do notice a difference on the interstate when you get it up to 70 miles per hour. I think if I decide to go with another Buick , I will go with the 1.3 L . The biggest reason why I won’t go with an Envista, is that it doesn’t have fog lamps available on any trim level.
Hey Will! This is definitely an attractive looking Buick with a very attractive price tag! I'm still not sure how I feel about a 3 cylinder vehicle though. I'd have to drive this to get a true feel for it. Around town though I'm sure its probably more than enough.
It definitely feels quick around town but you’re right being hesitant about long term reliability if driven hard.. I guess at the end of the day you always get what you pay for🤷🏻♂️👍🏼
I'm in the midwest(chicago) and definitely want all wheel drive too. Wait for the new refresh on the 2024 Envision Avenir! Hopefully out by Aug/Sept and I'm heading to the dealership! 😁

I wouldn't be surprised if GM eventually swapped out the 6-speed for the CVT that's in the FWD version of Encore GX. I think it's a better match for the engine than any conventional automatic.
You can get everything fully loaded on the ST trim and save money than paying for a fully loaded Avenir trim. Only things you won’t get on the ST would be the chrome lights in the back, color matching mirrors, wheel and lower side cladding, piano style climate control (climate controls similar to fully loaded Trax), and no rear armrest with cup holders.
This is an interesting vehicle. It’s the size of a Rav-4 or Kia Sportage but seems to be more comparable to an HR-V or Kia Seltos for the features, power, and price. But it’s also under an entry luxury division which is even more confusing lol. True enough, most subcompact to compact luxury vehicles toe the line, but I also feel that companies like Genesis isn’t cutting many corners with their GV70. The Envista is almost a direct competitor to the Chevy Trax, despite the “entry luxury brand” name. I’d really like to see GM define Buick more to help make the case for the Envista and the rest of the lineup.
It shares the platform with the Chevy Trax. Both have the exact same 3-cylinder engine. Envista is better than the Trax in terms of comfort and tech but Trax is better in terms of cargo space.
I don’t like that there are no red low mount driver side door lights for other motorists to alert them that your driver door is open so it doesn’t get clipped by a motorist not seeing me open my door, and the visor does not slide to adiquately shade driver from sun’s glare when shifting visor to driverside door window. Turbo’s help decrease emissions but reduce mpg. Originally i wanted to buy a Hyundai Kona because of mpg better than the envista but rear seating was too tight and cargo space too small when i was waited on and saw the leg room, plus the projector lamps were very surprising how well night drives would be. But the Buick Envista offers more than even the Chevrolett Trax. And the price. And the amazing power from a naturally asperated 3 cylinder turbo with six speed transmission is incredable. My biggest concern is visits to refuel? And powering all these accessories. Refreshing the battery.
Another reviewer said the cabin is loud when on the highway to the point you would have to raise your voice a bit..i was shocked to hear this. Was this your experience? Everyone seems to have different perspectives
I hear ya. A lot of it also depends on what they’re used to and coming out of. If they’re used to expensive luxury cars, no this Buick will not be that level of quiet or refined. But on this day I also reviewed a Terrain Denali, Sierra Denali and AT4 and this didn’t really seem any louder than the others. The real compromise here will be the less powerful powerplant. 👍🏼
The Avenir is the best looking Envista, with none of the nonsense black plastic trim and nice smoked chrome wheels. But at over $31k, I'm going with a mid-level CX-5

Looks like GM is back, Will! Great color, great style, great price, interior and exterior have excellent design cues. Wow. From Buick!
