Just bought mine last Monday! Black Avenil with gray interior! Haven’t seen any on the road yet, but my granddaughter bought the black sport and last month and that’s how I heard about this new design. Finally a car without red, orange or Black interior and a good infotainment screen unlike the Audi A 5 and Lexus IS I was considering. Happy with this purchase and my husband is sooo happy with the price!
Smart move, Buick! The smaller engine is more gentle on the earth, great smog figures, and yet Buick's decision to leave a real automatic transmission in it still makes it great fun to drive! Great video review, Kenny! I'm a fan!
If you drive with a lead foot and beat the shit out of your cars then stay away from 4 and 3 cylinders. I drive like an old person so this car will be fine for me
*omg yes* ! I’ve been waiting for you to review this #BuickEnvista ! I’m super excited for this car, love the design and price 💰 Even though it has a small engine, it’s very peppy and responsive
That is a really nice looking and affordable CUV. For me the engine would be a deal breaker but overall , for the $$, you would be hard pressed to find something better. Excellent review as always!
Totally agreed that was a great engine! I always like the option of a manuel as well. I drive a turbo 4 now and I never ever thought I'd own a 4 cylinder car but it is plenty fast. Just miss the sound of a 6 or 8. @@djplonghead5403
Thank you James! Definitely hard to find something nicer for the money.. Engine is plenty powerful enough for what it is - I am curious as to how it will be reliability wise long term though.. I guess time will tell
You are welcome and yes it really is an amazing value! I love that its looks stand out from so many others that look so similar to one another. Please keep the great videos coming!@@703Speed
No matter. Everything has compromises; it just depends on what you want from the car. I dont even consider it an SUV without some mild off road and slippery weather capability. Living in Minnesota where most winters have 4 or 5 months of slippery conditions, lack of AWD is a deal breaker. It is a shame really, because otherwise it is a nice package.
Nice "hatchback", but living in Minnesota, lack of AWD is a deal breaker for me. Would not even consider it. Also dont fully trust those small displacement 3 cylinder turbos for long term durability.
I really don't understand GM's aversion to automatic up windows. My Ford Fusion had automatic up/down on all of the windows, and it could be activated (up or down) via the keyfob. It was great to air out a hot car before getting in or roll them up from inside your home when it starts raining. It seems silly to completely leave automatic up out of the highest end version of this vehicle.
If you want a stylish luxury car without the premium price tag this is a decent option. just don’t push the pedal to the floor because it’ll take you an eternity to get to 60 mph😂
There’s need to use “literally” or “like “ in that sentence. That’s incorrect word usage. It is made on the same platform. Chevy makes it their way. Buick makes it in the luxury version.
True but more hp would see this vehicle go up in price. Still better than getting a Nissan Kicks in which that vehicle is a 4-cylinder but 15 less hp and paired to Nissan’s Carlos Ghosen crappy CVT.
Actually the engine (relatively) has a lot of torque, so acceleration is decent for the class, although I am not convinced of the durability of those turbo 3 bangers. The big miss is lack of AWD.
This is a Magic trick. A low priced luxury car that is pretty with features and handling that is a value buy, except...it is not! You do not want your new car to have the smallest motor on earth, that makes....progress. Your speed slowly but surely builds to the point where you have achieved...the speed limit? Americans used to care about performance, now we are supposed to be content with merely gradual glacial acceleration? God forbid you even get stuck behind the Envista in traffic or on a mountain road! Yikes! Strong Pass.
Nobody brags their car has the smallest motor on earth! "Yeah, I can even get up to the speed limit!" What a joke Buick! Our motor has just enough power to make forward progress! I would never buy a car with a tiny 3 cylinder motor. I want power. I CRAVE POWER! I demand a car with power so I can pass safely. Buick used to make awesome cars, now this? Shame Buick, shame.
This is a great SUV, but the title of the video is completely wrong. The Envista is a SUBCOMPACT SUV. Fact. If you want the Buick COMPACT SUV you get the Envision. Envista = SubCompact (smaller) Envision = Compact (bigger)
Buyer Beware: Tiny overworked motors don't last long at all. They sell this car for less because they saved tons of money by putting in a motorcycle motor. It's a tiny motor that has absolutely no reserve power. Take it up a mountain fully loaded on a hot day with your whole family and your dog and you will have a story to tell for years to come. "We were going 30 mph and the car started to overheat and Semis were honking at us and the kids started crying!" For people that only want a pretty car, here you go. Everyone else, get a car with a real motor. Strong pass.
The motors are tested and will last as long as any other. We had a neighbor like you years ago. What an exciting time it was running him through the wood chipper....

We just purchased one, no regrets so far. Comfortable, nice drive, looks great! The price is the best out there for what you get.
I just bought one and you just gave more useful information than the dealership did. 🥴😁 Great video!

Agreed. Well said.
This is a nice vehicle. It is very practical and looks very good.
Agreed!

I just recently purchased one in black and I absolutely love it.. no complaints. I just wish it was a little bit bigger.🖤
Great detailed Review 👌🏾 Appreciate your attention to detail and honest opinions. New Subscriber!!
I really want one. Great video.
GM Korea building a sharp car. Hopefully they'll bring manufacturing of Envista to U.S. if the car is popular.
Thank you for your great review !Lots of good info!!!👍👍
Great presentation!
I’ve watched lots of videos on the Avenir as I have one on order. This is by far the best video 🙌
Amazing review bro.
Thanks bro
I just got one. I got the preferred the lower tier and I love it.
Great review. Thank you.
Insane new Buick Envista SUV I want to buy.
Did you recently learn the word 'insane'? 😆
The LED lighting in the middle is not the brake light or turn signal. Those are on the bottom and are incandescent.
Im so excited to test drive this 🎉

A 3.8 3800 v6 would be such a nice engine for this car. They last forever!
A manual option would be nice- it is slightly sporty with its roof

Just picked up a white avenir and we couldn't be happier.
Congrats. How do you find the seating and overall interior comforts?
Side line of this crossover is preety to look at. Very small engine with only 3 cylinder. Great review as always. Greetings
Bam....money down and 1 one the way.
Canceled my Rav 4 Prime.
Savings will definitely allow me to travel more.
Ty Buick
Heck ya
If Buick were to add AWD, you would lose the flat floor in the back, and you would also lose the low price point. Be careful what you ask for.
You could get AWD if you go with the Avenir trim of the Encore GX.
Exactly. It’s perfectly fine the way it is. What a great deal for the money.

@@edsmith9855 they called it a so-called crossover. I called my car a four-door hatchback. Ha ha but I love it.
With the amount of torque this thing has, snow tires should suffice.
I have one and it’s exciting
I'm taking delivery of mine tomorrow at 130p, in the Cinnabon Red Metallic. 🚙👍
Greate reveiw, very detailed, nice car too
Nice car I love it
Great job!
It’s beautifully styled. My only concerns are no AWD, a tiny engine, plus i need roof rails
Then that means Encore GX.
Same screen as my Trax hmmm
Not the same. What's wrong with your eyes?
How is the view using the rear view mirror? So many cars now have substandard views when backing up.
Can we get the safety package with blind spot monitoring on lower trim levels?
No.
If AWD were offered, the Envista would cost as much as a fully loaded Chevy Trailblazer Activ or 2RS (AWD versions).
Would it make it over exposed train tracks from a stop?
If the tracks are dry, it may be able to with the right driver
How roomy is it?
Nice "hatchback", but living in Minnesota, lack of AWD is a deal breaker for me. Would not even consider it. Also dont fully trust those small displacement 3 cylinder turbos for long term durability.

You have a good point
smalll children rolling up their windows and sticking their fingers in the glass and causing pinch points
Maybe because I’m a Floridian, but people just leave their windows down parked and unattended?
This car isn't for everyone... Not too expensive. Great commute car like after you graduate college and need something decent but not too expensive.
? Rain sencer wipers aren't standerd, and it doesn't have AWD interesting 🤔
So no master seating for the diver seat
Seems like you get more standerd fetures with the mazad cx5 preferred
Watch for roof leaks with the Envista. GM has issued a service bulletin for it. It may not be visible at first. You have been warned.
No concern about roof leaks. Stop the misinformation.
If you want a stylish luxury car without the premium price tag this is a decent option. just don’t push the pedal to the floor because it’ll take you an eternity to get to 60 mph😂
I would consider this car IF it had a hybrid engine AND AWD.

Guess drifting is a no no. Thanks. Peace bro.
Hahaha - maybe in reverse if you really tried
This doesn't seem to have the height of an SUV..I like to sit up high to overlook traffic..seems low sedan like.
They messes up at 1.2 3 cylinder 137 hp that's terrible very slow 😂 noo for me it looks nice tho
Yeah, more power would be nice for sure
