- Today I review the all new 2024 Buick Envista ST (Sport Touring). It is one of the MOST AFFORDABLE new cars you can buy with a starting price under $23,000. I discuss the pricing, exterior and interior styling, powertrain, technology, safety features, cargo volume, and then I take it for a POV drive. The Buick Envista shares its platform with the Chevy Trax. What are your thoughts on the Envista? Would you take this over the competition?

6:59 meant to say 1.2L Turbocharged 3 cylinder. So used to saying 4 cylinder that it just came out without thinking
Just a reminder....the 'confidence' associated with AWD is purely psychological. It is not necessarily translated into better safety. Driver knowledge, skills, abilities, and tire selection are the determining factors. Most good drivers will do just fine with FWD... as they have for the last 40 years.
That looks sharp.
Never seen one advertised for under 23k
Amazing anyways this is on my list of 10 cars I will own before 2030 dream car is bmw x6 M
Wet timing belt is iffy...
Hey, Did You Have To Build This One Yourself For All The Options Or Does Some Come With The Covnience Package 1+ 2 Already?
Some of them should already come with the different packages without you having to custom build one
@@SchwayZ I leased mine in Canada last week - it came as an ST and had liftgate, auto wipers. I think it was package 2. I love this car!!
@@jaxxxon58 congrats on the sweet ride!
@@SchwayZ Thanks! I got black on black with the Santorini Blue stitching. Everyone asks me what it is - They have guessed Benz? BMW? They have no idea!!
@@jaxxxon58 haha right on! Yeah it's a great looking car for a great price!
I love my city suv! I have one and ive put almost 5,000 miles on it. I have the ST in Sunrise red fully loaded and i love it.
I really like this car, but never buy 1st models. I want to see long term reviews
I was fortunate enough to grab one of these beauties and you said it extremely well! Everything about this car is impressive! Thank you for a wonderful review!
We just bought it and absolutely love it!
Want to know why this vehicle is so cheap. Presented for the Chinese market in August 2022, GM introduced the Envista in April 2023 in the United States and Canada. The Envista is manufactured in Changwon, South Korea by GM Korea and in China by SAIC-GM.
Yes like our cell phones computers and refrigerators
Good review! I just saw one of these for the first time in person. It looked really good! looks like it costs so much more!👍👍
It really does! Thanks for watching!
Shhhhhh….don’t share our secret!!!
I disagree. The only reason I'm not considering this is because of how underpowered this car is. It might be peppy, But it will feel like a major downgrade to me in terms of horsepower.
I thought I would feel the same way but I was mistaken. The sound and the power of this car is surprising.
Also Concerned about the fact that the dealer Told me they can’t get parts on these either yet still even after being out one year. People are leaving their cars at the dealer for weeks and months waiting for parts he warned me.
Are dealers marking these up or can you get a deal? I dont want to pay twenty-nine grand for a non Avenir Envista no matter how loaded.
I haven't seen that. In my area they are at or below msrp. I think the days of marking up regular cars are gone
Look hard and you will find the right deal.
My Avenir cost 29
Great price
This car seems quite promising, I don’t like 3 cylinder turbo engines because they feel like they are filled with sandpaper, but for the right price and a bit of discount could be a good car for cheap, not the most reliable probably but I think that at least 7/10 yrs could last.
Yeah it's a great bargain. And I was impressed with this 3 cylinder. Felt peppier than some 4 cylinders I've driven
Excellent review and POV drive 👍👍
Glad you liked it!
Errrr . . . sorry, it does not have a FOUR cylinder engine. It is a THREE cylinder turbocharged engine with the 137 HP, as mentioned.
Yep you are correct. I accidentally goofed and said 4 cylinder but meant to say 3. Thanks for catching that
Test drive one. At 162 lbs. ft. of torque, you might just be surprised. I would say that this is class leading, even from vehicles with larger engines.
@ndi5670 yeah i found it really peppy. No complaints from the 3 cylinder.
Way too much piano black plastic on the outside. That stuff probably won't age well and will show scratches and scuff marks. Otherwise I like the exterior. But that engine....
nice looking car and affordable price.
I have the Avenir model in the same exact color.
There has not been a week that has gone by since I bought the car (8 months ago), that a random stranger hasn't given me a compliment on the look of the vehicle.
It's fun to drive too!
I would say the best part of my day is usually driving this car.
I used to have a Jeep Grand Cherokee limited and it got totaled.
A new Jeep in the same model would have cost me double what I paid for this Buick. The irony is that I enjoy driving the Buick more than the Grand Cherokee LoL.
is it good for highways and long drives ? Have you had a chance to test it in that way ?
Man what a great video CHEERS YOU HAVE A NEW SUB
Thanks for subbing! Glad you enjoyed it!
The break lights are on the bumper which seems very unsafe and I was going to buy one tomorrow until I saw that. Tall trucks may not see the break lights or blinkers, especially if following too close , what are your thoughts? Can you share asap? I need help deciding between this and a Mazda CX 5 as that’s my second choice since I’m thinking the break lights are placed very badly. I hear it’s swats in light wind too. Ugh!
You've got the brake light up high above the rear window also.
Plus one of The running lights in the front turns off when that blinker is on, so you can't miss the fact that this car is making a turn. I've had the vehicle for 8 months and not had a problem with anybody not knowing what I was doing
@@jsmooth7688 thx for your reply. Yes but I still think people will expect the lights in the middle so I bought something else yesterday. 🤷🏻♀️😁
@@jsmooth7688 yah but these days people don’t pay attention to that and honestly with texting oriole do etc., I decided not to buy the car for this reason and because of the 3 cylinder engine. Bought a CX5 instead, $8000 more but just a much better car.
@@jsmooth7688 also there is no safety test yet and I hear it may not come out to good when they text it but we shall see.
More junk…
Dear, please go back on your antipsychotics. Refrain from procreation until you have stabilized.
Why? And what would you recommend in this class?
If you take one out for a test drive you'll be pleasantly surprised! You may want to turn that frown upside down bud.
