I have special memories about Father Seraphim. Last year I went on an overnight trip with a friend to the Shrine. My friend wanted to go to bed early so I decided to go to the chapel to pray for the souls in purgatory. My eyes could not see but I felt I was about to get attacked. I heard a loud noise coming from the chapel. I immediately asked Jesus and Saint Faustina to take me to my room. From the chapel the St Paul’s house isn’t far but my little legs couldn’t walk fast enough. I had this feelings of being surrounded by wild animals. My friend was sleeping as I walked in so I didn’t want to turn on the lights. As soon as I laid down I heard fingernails scratching against the windows next to my bed. My friend sat right up and turned on the lights. I was so tired I fell asleep but my friend said the scratchings went on for quite sometime. My poor friend didn’t sleep that night and in the morning she asked what I’d brought back with me because everything was fine before I came back. We went to mass in the same chapel that morning. When Father Seraphim raised the sacred Host I saw Jesus with the 2 rays just like in the Devine Mercy picture. I thought to myself maybe I’m crazy from what happened last night. When mass ended my friend and I walked outside, some lady called me back and introduced me to brother Peter. Brother Peter said Father Seraphim is a holy man people have seen Jesus in the Host. I think Jesus talked through brother Peter to let me know I wasn’t crazy. I came back trying to meet Father Seraphim again so I could tell him what I saw. My wish was granted one day I was waiting for the elevator to open. When it opened Father Seraphim was inside smiling. I was like a little kid trying to tell him what I saw, as if he didn’t already know. He was so humble when I thanked him. He had this beautiful smile on his face and pointed his finger toward heaven telling me to thank God instead. He then gave me his blessing. I felt the present of God in Father Seraphim. I received so much gifts from God I wish other people would open their hearts to God too. Purgatory is real. Hell is not only real but the gate of hell is currently open and demons are hungry for the living souls. The souls in purgatory need our help. We have to continuously pray for them. The demons hate when we pray the rosary but we have God on our side. We have our Holy Mother, the Angels, and Saints to intercede for us. We only have one enemy to fight and that’s the devils. God wants me to warn people but barely anyone believed what I had to say. I’m such sinner so I guess I can’t blame them.
So blessed and gentle explaining -Thanksgiving to God for Fr Seraphim and praying, helping us all and Fr Chris your solid clear teaching also and Fr Anthony, Fr Kaz all brothers, priests there who teach clearly and truthfully God bless all

Purgatory for me is the full realization of God's indescribable and all-consuming love for each of us. It is the realization of that love that, humanly speaking, is what consumes us - a pain I do not know how to describe.
Thank you for this .Personally I prefer to pray for his soul before asking for favors , I realized that many religious do a stint in Purgatory, so first it is good to pray for the release of their souls ,putting our needs behind to help them too. God bless 💖

I never believed Purgatory was an actual lake of 🔥 fire as taught in my Catholic grade school. I always knew it was a metaphor for the pain of the separation from God. The medieval early church used lots of symbolism and metaphors and allegory to teach ideas that were complicated and controlled people through fear and guilt. St. Gertrude the Great was a 13th-century German nun, writer, and mystic who was graced with many heavenly visions, including being one of the earliest mystics to whom Jesus encouraged a devotion to his Sacred Heart. It is recounted that Jesus showed her a vast number of souls entering heaven from purgatory as a result of her faithful and frequent recitation of this prayer.
the church has already condemned prayers that claim that if prayed can save a specific number of souls from purgatory. Saint's Gertrude prayer by the way is not condemned but what is condemned is to claim that if you pray it 1000 souls of purgatory will be saved, 1000 souls of purgatory would probably be saved when Saint Gertude said the prayer but we should just try not to be arrogant and expect this will happen for ourselves(I am in no way saying you are doing this) we should just entrust our prayers for our beloved to (God) and he shall put His Divine Will and Mercy to work. It seems to me that this common question is often framed such that one answer must exclude the other. But couldn't both be true at once? That there are many pains/punishments there as well as the worst being our time spent away from Him? Please let me know what you all think.
Father l have a very broken family, not one of my family pray or go to mass is it true that if one is person in the family is praying that all will be saved l would really appreciate your view on this matter thank you Father Chris. May the good Lord pour down many blessings upon you and your beloved family and friends. Jesus is the name of the Lord. 🙏🏼 🌹🙏🌹🙏
Thank you. However there is no guarantee that they will be saved. They are the ones that have to accept God's grace but your prayers will help. God bless you.
Jesus teaches Purgatory in several Bible passages. Matt18v34-35 and in his anger the master handed him over to the torturers until he has paid the last penny. Luke12 v41-46. One servant is saved, one is lost and the other two suffer varying degrees of punishment. Heaven Hell and Purgatory. In Luke 16 the rich man is in Purgatory. He prays for himself but later he prays for his relatives not to come to this awful place. Souls in Hell don’t wish salvation for anyone. He is in Purgatory and we see him improve from selfish prayer to selfless prayer. Souls in Hell Do not grow in charity. After repentance we need to improve our behavior or we may end up in Purgatory. Repent and then improve. Blessings
Thx for sharing. There are other questions, example as what happens to other religions, do they also go there? Or is it only Christian ✝️. Very interesting topic where raises lot of questions. Thx again.
You can't sugar coat Purgatory. The flames on earth are a cool refreshing breeze compared to the flames in Purgatory. Purgatory is a place where we are purged of all of our faults and where we will render an account for every idle word as Our Lords tells us in sacred scripture. Purgatory is a prison of fire where we will suffer the excruciating torments for our sins. Nothing imperfect shall enter the kingdom of heaven. The separation from God is just part of the suffering, The fruits of Vatican ll modernist notions about suffering . God Bless , Ave Maria gratia plena
Father , can you tell me if you think a day in purgatory is the same length (24hrs) as in this life? I don't why I ask but I guess I wonder is there any concept of time? Any length of time apart is unbearable to think of for me! Iam a "new convert"" to the.Catholic faith, 56 yr old ex protestant with a million questions. It bugs me alot! Help??? Any length of time apart from God is really painful depressing to think of !!!
Hi JP.... We are the Marians of the Immaculate Conception, a religious community entrusted to spread Christ's message of Divine Mercy. We are called "Marians" for short. God bless you and please consider being a Marian Helper, to share in the prayers and graces of many others!
Scripture says nothing with even slightest stain will enter heaven. I don't know too many people, including myself, who fit that category. Do you? The Bible says we must be purified and prepared to see God so you can only hope Purgatory exists or we are in trouble. Jesus forgives our sins like a good father who forgives his son for breaking the window, but a good father also disciplines the son out of love. To let him walk away w/o any responsibility is not love but false mercy and not the way of God. The Bible warns extensively that we need to break our inordinate attachments and only be attached to God to enter heaven. How many people can say that? That is why Purgatory is a purification and a result of God’s mercy. Purgatory is in the bible: 1Cor3: 11-15 (purified by fire) and Matt 5:26 (pay the last penny). Please see passages such as 2 Maccabees 12:41-46 (this book was in the original canon until it was removed by Martin Luther), 2 Timothy 1:18, Matthew 12:32, Luke 16:19-16:26, Luke 23:43, 1 Corinthians 3:11-3:15 and Hebrews 12:29 as support for prayer for purgatorial souls who are believed to be within an active interim state for the dead. If you are Christian, you believe in the Trinity, but the word "Trinity" doesn't appear in the Bible. Then why do you believe in it, which you must if you are a Christian? Christ finished the work of redemption as every human being has been redeemed but salvation is ongoing through sanctification of the Holy Spirit and not everyone will be saved . God bless.
It is explicitly biblical unless you do not have the Deuterocanonical books in your bible. You have to read the book of Maccabees. It is implicitly biblical even if you don't have the Deuterocanonical books. Jesus aluded to a "temporal punishment" in many of His sayings. I can tell you if you want to hear them. St. Paul talked about a purification of poor works via fire etc. It is referenced heavily in the writings of the early Church Fathers who learned directly from the apostles or from students of the apostles.
It is. Maybe try not to look at the word purgatory so much and rather think of it as a process of turning back fully to God in holy relationship as we were created to be. The process can be very painful, a burning in our souls, as God's all consuming fire of love "burns away" our desires for sin and makes us pure, and holy, for Him. Nothing unclean can even try to stand in the presence of His holy and awesome majesty! We MUST be clean and made pure through this great act of God's mercy and process we call purgatory.
In the parable of the rich man and Lazarus the rich man is in Purgatory. He addresses Abraham respectfully as Father. He asks help for himself but later he prays for his relatives. Souls in Hell don’t wish salvation for anyone. They are filled with hatred and despair. The rich man improves from selfish prayer to selfless prayer. Souls in Hell Do not grow in charity and holiness. The rich man is clearly in Purgatory. After repentance we must grow in holiness and charity. We prove our sincerity by the life we lead. Failure to use the talents the Holy Spirit grants us may result in being purged of lingering attachments to sin after we die to prepare us to enter Heaven. Please pray for deceased loved ones who may need help to reach Heaven. Blessings

Dear Cassy, I explain that in detail here if you have time to watch this video. God bless. th-cam.com/video/U6gjb634Zf4/w-d-xo.html
@@DivineMercy_Official Thank you. Found it. Saw the visions described by the saint about 30 min in. Very informative!
I miss you brother. Yes I was a Marian....
I’m just going
I feel that purgatory is here on earth.
Some can be... but what has not been atoned for here must be atoned for in Purgatory.
Thx again.
Yes, all people go to heaven or hell and if needed purification and preparation in purgatory
@@DivineMercy_Official thx for replying.
Could Purgatory be the "Death of Ego"?
I just burnt my ankle with hot water from a bottle. Did I mention it was hot water from our parish😮...
God Bless ,
Ave Maria gratia plena
Father , can you tell me if you think a day in purgatory is the same length (24hrs) as in this life? I don't why I ask but I guess I wonder is there any concept of time? Any length of time apart is unbearable to think of for me! Iam a "new convert"" to the.Catholic faith, 56 yr old ex protestant with a million questions. It bugs me alot! Help??? Any length of time apart from God is really painful depressing to think of !!!
Thank you. But no, there is no "time" in purgatory as we know time on Earth
What’s a Marian ?
Hi JP.... We are the Marians of the Immaculate Conception, a religious community entrusted to spread Christ's message of Divine Mercy. We are called "Marians" for short. God bless you and please consider being a Marian Helper, to share in the prayers and graces of many others!
What are you saying. that Jesus did not finish what he came to do ? Not buying it , Not by woks. lest any man shall boasts but by the gift of God ,
Scripture says nothing with even slightest stain will enter heaven. God bless.
Purgatory is not biblical
It is explicitly biblical unless you do not have the Deuterocanonical books in your bible. You have to read the book of Maccabees.
It is implicitly biblical even if you don't have the Deuterocanonical books. Jesus aluded to a "temporal punishment" in many of His sayings. I can tell you if you want to hear them. St. Paul talked about a purification of poor works via fire etc.
It is referenced heavily in the writings of the early Church Fathers who learned directly from the apostles or from students of the apostles.
God bless, but if you watch the video you will see the many passages in the Bible that reference this purification and preparation.
Blessings
Oh yes it is.
