2 weeks before menstruation, I used to have insomnia and migraines, cramps and feelings of deep sadness, my PCP wanted to prescribe me an antidepressant and I strongly refused, plus hormones... I walked away from his practice and started fasting for 48 hours and for the next few days I only had green smoothies, just kale and lemon, my migraines disappeared and I started sleeping sweetly and peacefully. I started a plant-based lifestyle and I have found healing and a better version of the woman I can be. My menstruation is pain free and I'm stronger than ever. My skin is healthier as well. 🌈☀️

My gynaecologist told me that sugar decrease magnesium levels and creates deficiency. She put me on high doses of magnesium and told me not to mix my meat with carbs. So, I should either have meat and vegetables, or carbs and vegetables. I follow that and it fixed the problem. Also, my bleeding from 5 days a month get shorter, it’s only 2-3 days

Well he said fiber takes excess of estrogen out of the body, and that cheese and milk could add more estrogen than what your body is creating. But why is the body creating estrogen in an excess? That's what we need to focus on, and I think there's where sugar and insulin fit here.

Inverse bleeding is the cause of endometriosis, also. The blood contains stem cells meant to regenerate uterine lining and support vagina health. You shouldn't use tampons or cups, which stifle the release of blood. Use overnight pads, if necessary, but stay away from products that misdirect the flow. When the flow is blocked from it's natural route, it's like messing up the plumbing, it will spill into the wrong areas.

Typically I would have to heavily medicate myself to sleep in order to handle the pain and I would vomit at least 2x. I literally didn’t have to take meds and I didn’t vomit even though I was a little nauseous. Also I stopped using tampons a few years back and that has also made a world of difference. This month I will cut out all meat except seafood, and I will cut back on sugar, wheat products, and oils. This should be great! Thanks 🙏🏾

I too was advised to have a hysterectomy, but I just couldn't do it, despite already having 4 children.
I am constantly bleeding clots and the worse thing is that the pain has come back but even worse than before.
As a SDA Christian, I'm already aware that the bible has given us the blueprint of what we should and shouldn't eat, but I really enjoy eating meat. Will have to make some changes concerning my diet, because the pains are too much!
Thanks for this video, I know what I need to do.

Thank you so much for this video. I’ve been having periods for more than a decade now and I’m in my 20s. When I tell people that I don’t have cramps, they tell me that I’m lucky and sometimes people don’t even believe me.
I’m not vegan however there are times in my life when I haven’t gone vegan before.
I see the benefits in a plant-based eating plan and I recommend that to everyone.
I eat small amounts of animal product without much problem.
I also see the value in limiting oil intake.
Everyone was 90% plant-based or even 80% plant-based, it would be a game changer for many people. There’s too much reliance today I’m highly processed foods and factory farmed animal products that are made from animals that eat a highly inflammatory diet.
This is just my opinion and I hope you all take care.

I used to think a man would never be able to tell me anything about a period that would benefit me. But I stand corrected. You have given me more information in this video than any FEMALE doctor I've had. Even nutritionists they had me speak with didn't inform me the way you have. I suffer from endometriosis. I was just given prescription after prescription due to heavy bleeding and long cycles. I stopped taking anything just because it made everything worse. Thank you for sharing what you know. I will start incorporating what you have said into my diet. Fyi. I LOVE cheese! 😬

I started my period a week early so I ate meat because I thought I had time. I had mild cramps the first day but nothing compared to the unbearable pain I usually get. They didn't keep me up all night. The 2nd - 5th days I didn't eat meat. Just fruits, vegetables, and bread. I didn't have anymore cramps. I just had my a few PMS symptoms irritability for a few days but that was it. I'm glad I found you. You are God sent!

Thank you so much for this video !! I had cramp free periods as a teen but as I eased into my early 20s (I’m 23) they became horrible but not even every month ! So it became concerning especially since my mom was diagnosed with endometriosis a few years ago ! Definitely gonna try this method and see where it goes and if it helps ❤️

Thanks for this video. I eat cheese occasionally. Mac and cheese included. When I'm on a 21 day Daniel fast (Christian fast with no oil, no sugar, no baked stuff, no animal products) I have NO cramps. I experience fatigue but that's it. You're talking the truth.

@@jojobeanstudio1339 Good luck. I would look up wellness forum health. Dr. Pamela Popper offers access to a medical library and a bunch of courses to both lay people and medical professionals. It isn't a free service. It is quite useful. It is cheaper than access to other medical libraries for sure. May be a good place to start before med school/nutrition school.

Wow this makes a lot of sense! I’ve been almost totally plant-based for the past 5 years or so. But I started transitioning to this diet a few years before that. I definitely noticed the difference between the extreme and debilitating menstrual pain I had before going plant-based and how it lessened as I slowly stopped eating dairy and eggs. But I still had some pain that is fairly uncomfortable though it wasn’t nearly as severe as before. I still am taking Ibuprofen for my monthly cramps. Some months are better than others, but I’m thinking that might be because of the oil. So I really want to experiment with no added oils as much as possible.

Perhaps stay away from Soy (Tofu, Edamame, Soy Protein powders, Soy milk, and Soy sauce). Soy can mess with our hormones and cause cysts and all kinds of nasty things 🙁

I have really bad endometriosis that caused my uterus to be glued to my back. I had a lap surgery done to diagnose and remove all adhesions and a 7cm ovarian cyst. That was two years ago. I have recently started depo provera which helped alleviate me of my period but what surprised me more was how effective cutting back on red meat and dairy worked. I lost 20 pounds since this February up until now doing this and incorporating more fruits and veggies. My ca125 has gone down from 55 to 38 to now 26. I love the promotion of healthy eating when you have endo.

Thank you so much for this video🙏😭 My sister and I suffer from severe menstrual cramps 😩 Unfortunately by trial and error I figured out to avoid dairy and sweet treats because of the directly proportional relationship it has to my pain. Sad news for a choc-a-holic! But obviously I didn't understand the science of it all. It's great that this issue is being brought to the forefront because it can be very debilitating for sufferers, as well as difficult for unaffected people to empathise and painkillers are just not strong enough.

I have endo and had the most painful periods and actually had constant stomach pain....... I am a registered dietitian, and I found Keto completely dissolved the pain, when I gave up gluten and sugar!! Completely opposite of what you're recommending. Quit sugar everyone..... I eat fish and dairy and oils daily. I used to have to take off work because of stomach pain and also period pain. As long as I avoid any food triggers (sugar/gluten) I feel great.
